White Willow Meadows

White Willow Meadows

I'm deeply disheartened to share my experience with White Willow Meadows (WWM), owned by Angela…read moreNorm, during my wedding on September 2, 2024. Despite this being a beautiful venue, here's a rundown of the issues we faced: 1. Inappropriate Behavior: Some of my guests, including a close family friend who is a decorated United States Marine who brought this to my attention, overheard a highly inappropriate comment from our day-of coordinator, Elizabeth Robinett, "what confidence does she have in wearing her dress". This brought concern that she was talking about one of my guests, one of my bridesmaids, or even more heartbreaking - me as the bride. When confronted, she denied it, which was unacceptable and a lie as she and the other WWM staff member had no material that they were looking at a previous wedding. Professionalism is crucial in this industry, and such remarks are completely out of line. As he was one of several guests who heard this conversation, it's interesting to hear your rebuttal rather than using this as a teaching moment to correct your staff. The conversation was not meant as a compliment. You have cameras all over that facility, please review the footage on Sept 2, 2024 between 2pm-2:30pm before my ceremony started when Elizabeth was helping direct my guests to the outdoor ceremony space. 2. Substandard Coordination: Elizabeth's disinterest in going beyond the minimum was frustrating and added unnecessary stress to our big day. In the days leading up to our wedding, I seemingly needed to convince her that in her position as day of coordinator she should be helping with certain kinds of tasks. While I'm sure you've had hundreds of guests at your venue, I just wanted to make it known that I had less than 100 guests attend after our final count after we concluded our wedding. Our party did not 'involve managing the flow of hundreds of guests'. I'm sure this was a simple oversight. To reference the coordination skills we received, we did receive 'substandard coordination' skills that left much to be desired. 3. Poor Audio Quality: Despite assurances of a state-of-the-art sound system, the audio was dreadful. Key speeches, including those of the maid of honor, best man, and even myself, were barely audible. We were also unable to hear anything the DJ was saying, which made things difficult and stressful because we were on a tight timeline. The DJ's attempts to schedule a sound check were ignored, leading to many moments being lost. 4. Bartending Service Issues: We were told we could choose our own licensed bartender but were later forced to use one from a company, resulting in subpar service and a widely negative impact on our event. 5. Planning Process Troubles: From the start, the planning was fraught with issues. Angela Norm was unprepared for our first meeting by not properly notating our meeting date and time resulting in double-booking our time and showing a lack of organization. The limited availability of staff made scheduling difficult, and even payment processes were a hassle. 6. Miscommunication and Stress: The day after our wedding, we were asked if we were checking out of the Dairy Barn despite our contract specifying that we had occupancy for both the wedding night and the following night. Given the significant amount we spent, the level of service fell far short of what was promised. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking with WWM. My husband and I will never get this day back or experience it for what it should have been. It's interesting to see the immediate finger pointing or blame. This is undoubtably a beautiful venue but brides beware, it you have anything less than a perfect experience on your special day it will somehow, someway be your fault.

From the owner: As you venture along a winding path, revel in the sweet scent of honeysuckle. Beautiful venue and the owners, Theresa & Joe (as well as the rest of the staff), were PHENOMENAL throughout the entire process. They were extremely accommodating (even welcoming us into their home on multiple occasions) and receptive to our needs, reiterating that no request was too big, and openly embraced any and all ideas we had, stressing that it was OUR day. After visiting many venues with strict "no pet" policies, we were resigned to the fact that we wouldn't have one of our closest family members in attendance at our wedding. Oh well, we knew it was a a bit out of left field and were used to being at mercy of black & white venue policies that had other couples sacrificing their wants in exchange for securing their requested date with other competing couples. After posing the same question to Theresa & Joe (and expecting a similar "No" response), they not only enthusiastically welcomed our dog, but made her a gorgeous floral collar that rivaled the flower count in most brides' bouquet. Yes, being primarily a flower farm ensures that you will receive only the highest quality of flowers. In a world where many couples might delay their wedding date to save up or go into debt to pay the premium prices most wedding venues charge, F&F is a breath of fresh air that the wedding industry so badly needs. From day one, we felt so comfortable working with Theresa & Joe, knowing that they share the same views that getting married to the person you love shouldn't cost an arm & leg, and should be sustainable without unnecessary waste. For instance, rather than spending hundreds on table settings/decor that we'd never use again or re-sell at a fraction of the price, we were able to choose from a wide variety of decor items that previous couples had generously donated. While completely voluntarily, we gladly were able to pass along a few of our decor items for other couples to enjoy for their special day. I will admit that I am not one that is typically inclined to provide feedback online (first time posting on Google/Yelp), but could not more strongly recommend the folks at Flora & Field. They genuinely care about their clients and exemplify how the rest of the wedding industry SHOULD operate

I am not sure if the venue supplied the decor or not, but the entirety of the venue, even down to structure of the actual building, is just really pretty. It's simple and has a rustic yet modern and clean farmhouse feel. Lots of greenery everywhere. The party lights strung all throughout the ceiling definitely added a very quaint and warm feel. I was surprised it only took the cocktail hour after the ceremony for the staff (of whom was very inconspicuous... I don't even remember barely noticing staff) to turn the room where the wedding took place, into the reception! With tables, linens, big grand center pieces... I mean... the works! HOW did they do that in 1 hour?! Anyways... everything was right in it's place. The ambiance to the venue was to die for and the entire evening seemed to flow so seamlessly. A+++ for the Vue!

It felt so cozy for all the ladies to gather and do the workouts and then meet with all the vendors. What I liked about the venue was the area inside was so inviting. Had I known about this place 4 years ago when I was getting married, I probably would have had my wedding reception here. Everything about this venue just made me love it like the rustic and artsy room. Perfect space to entertain guests. I can't wait to come here again in September for the Beauty Boost's fall version of the Taste of Fitness event. It will be bigger and even better! So mark your calendar peeps! You won't want to miss this fun event! Plus the event space isn't too shabby either!

Our photographer had a 10am reservation and we were there about 10min early. Building was locked and staff couldn't get in with their key fobs. They had to call and "wake up" the owner to come unlock the building. We weren't given good communication or how long the wait would be. Waiting with a baby on the side of High Street was less than ideal with her getting fussy being strapped in a stroller. Owner shows up almost 30 minutes later, doesn't even acknowledge us as she walks by and opens the door for the staff. Once inside one staff member realizes that we were the 10am reservation (not sure why that took so long? the building appears to be an old abandoned warehouse otherwise...). He apologizes for his unprofessionalism up to this point shows us around and promises our photographer a discount on a future booking for the inconvenience. Seemed the least they could do especially because a 20 min delay completely messed up our session as we had a staggered 20 min arrival of different family members to participate in pictures with our baby. HOWEVER, upon leaving photographer tells us staff member texted her during our shoot to say owner will actually not be offering any discounts now or in the future and he apologized for the miscommunication.... so I had considered coming back but DEFINITELY NOT for us or the photographer.
