When I found out I was pregnant it was the perfect opportunity for maternity photos. It's a tricky thing when you're hiring a photographer because you never know if they are going to capture that feeling/ ambiance you are looking for. More importantly you never know if you'll work well together. If you don't feel comfortable with the photographer or if they don't give you enough direction, the pictures won't turn out. Being a sometime photographer myself, I am pretty picky when it comes to photos. Carl was thorough in giving tips for before the shoot like what to wear, making a Pinterest board, etc. He was very relaxed when we met which made it easy to spend the next 1.5 hrs together. What I appreciated the most is that he took the time to make sure the pose and lighting was just right. He also paid attention to details like my hair or if something was on my dress or patting down weeds. Most importantly, he has the eye for creative shots. He nailed the vibe I was going for. The owner's wife looked stunning sporting a sheer top with a beautiful gown. The owner himself was goofy and was wearing a tutu which added to the fun and made it a not so serious event. There was champagne and a contortionist to keep us entertained while they worked out minor details with the models.
