She mentioned she feeds her own dog the same brand and kindly assured me I could return it if it didn't work out. Sadly, my sweet boy passed away less than a week later. We used maybe one cup of the food. I returned to the store today to see if I could either return the product or receive store credit. Unfortunately, Rachel wasn't there, and the person who did help me was extremely cold and dismissive. She stated they could not accept the return because my dog had passed--implying that a return would only be honored if something was wrong with the product or the dog didn't like it. I wasn't asking for much--just a little compassion. This experience wasn't about the money--it was about the cold, heartless attitude I received while still grieving the loss of my companion. That brief interaction was incredibly painful. I left feeling hurt and unseen. I will not return to this store again.

I must say as a rescue transporter,I've been to many local pet shops all over the country ,but this place had absolutely everything in stock ! The young woman who was working, couldn't have been more knowledgeable and personable, although a bit out of the way for me, I try to support local businesses and will continue to us High Paw Pet Supplies in the future for everything Duke needs in the future!

Everywhere in Denver was booked so I desperately tried this place hoping they had room for my dog for 4 nights... it was a success! I was a little nervous after reading the most recent reviews, but I'm happy to report that I will definitely take my dog to Vail Doggie Day Spa again if I need to. The staff took great care of my fur baby and even texted me a picture of her goofing around. The facility is in a weird, industrial-looking place and I don't think there is grass inside the facility for the dogs to play on. However, I do know that my dog got to feel grass under her paws because they filled me in on her potty schedule when I went to take her out for the day. Oh yeah that was one thing I absolutely loved about Vail Doggie Day Spa... we were able to come get her for the day and bring her back in the evening. We only "Checked Out" our dog once because she was so tired from playing with the other dogs she didn't really care about hiking with us. She even started whining when we drove away... such a diva. When you walk into the place does smell pretty bad... but, you know, it's full of dogs. I'm not spending the night there so I don't really care and my dog eats cat vomit so I know she doesn't care. When we picked her up and took her home she was a little stinky so I gave her a bath and then she slept for an entire day. My dog was returned to me exhausted, happy, and in one piece. SHE WAS BITTEN by another dog at this daycare because they don't even bother to test for friendliness. I can deal with the horrible smell but I draw the line at BITES and horrible scratches. Yes dogs can play rough, but my friendly goldendoodle goes to dooggie daycare two to three times a week and she's never come back with one scratch.
