Barkley Breeze was amazing! My wife and I had a getaway there this week and our stay was fantastic. The place was very clean (a huge hit with my wife) and had EVERYTHING we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils and accessories you could need, even had Ziploc bags and a crock pot. I've never seen that before in a vacation rental. We were surprised by their attention to detail, down to labeling the light switches (nice touch) and all of the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The place is beautiful, as is the view. Almost all of one wall was windows looking out over the lake. The couch and recliners were comfy, as was the bed which is also a rarity in a vacation rental in my experience. Since it was only the two of us we didn't get to take full advantage of the HUGE dining room but that could easily accommodate very large groups. We also liked that the house was very well located, near to many area attractions so we did some exploring which was really nice. Our host Pete was very attentive and helpful when we had questions. You could tell that he and his family really wanted us to be able to enjoy ourselves. There was even a snack basket waiting for us on the bar. Since we went in winter, we did not get to take advantage of the kayaks, deck, grill or screened in porch but we will definitely be back to the area and plan to stay here again.
