    I would not recommend this service, the owner is very rude. This business was recommended to me by…read morean acquaintance, and I had an appointment scheduled. I inquired if I could change the appointment time, and the owner texted to inform me how busy she is, and that my appointment was cancelled. I guess this was some sort of 'punishment' for asking a question? I would have been happy to keep the original appointment time, but I wasn't given that option. It was odd from the start; I called and left a voicemail asking to speak with the owner, just to check if she has a non-slip surface my dog can stand on during the grooming. She wouldn't speak with me on the phone, only text. She refused to even address the question I asked in the voicemail. Overall, this was a terrible experience. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I've never seen a professional business operate so poorly, and treat customers with such disrespect. Added after business owner's comment: I would never in my life do any of the behavior the owner mentioned. This is a complete lie. She was frustrated because I asked if it would be ok to change my appointment time, so she cancelled my appointment. It was very rude. I've only left one other review on Yelp for exceptional service with a different business. I only left the review for Julie's business because I was treated so poorly. Also, Julie had the person who originally recommended her contact me through Yelp, trying to convince me to change my review. Just wanted to mention that.

On the phone, they gave us conflicting information about what documentation was needed for vaccination records (even suggesting we could self administer some vaccines--though we did not do this). Despite the fact that we had submitted our records several days in advance of dropping our dogs off, and despite the fact that our records indicated the dogs were up to date on all vaccines, the lady working the front desk waited until we were there in person dropping our dogs off to tell us that they needed further information. She made it clear that she didn't care at all that this was delaying our travel plans, that she would be losing our future business, or that we would be posting negative reviews online. She was rude and unaccommodating. When she finally agreed to take our dogs, she threatened that if the owner had a problem with our records, we could still be asked to come pick up our dogs early, and if we weren't there (which I told her we would not be, as we were going out of town), there could be a fine. I asked her if they had any written policy showing this, and she was unable to find anything to show me.  I'm sure you are wondering what was wrong with our vaccination records. They showed the date the vaccines were administered and that the bordatella and distemper vaccines would be due one year from that date. The problem was that it didn't specify the exact date new vaccines were due. I guess she was unable to do simple math.

We arrived an hour early (yes perhaps we should of called ahead) after a four hour drive to pickup our dog. The owner acted like this was a HUGE inconvenience, and kept going on and on about how she was losing an hour of her schedule and the other dog's schedule would be off (she was napping when we arrived). My husband offered to compensate her for the extra hour, I stated we would come back in in hour and had to bite my tongue. She said it was fine although her tone told us it was not. This was all in front of our 8 year old also. All she had to do was give us our dog and take our check. For a business owner she was disorganized (we had to tell her how many days our dog was there), unprofessional, and rude. I am not a vet or a kennel owner, but she would not take our dog until a week after he received the oral bordetella vaccine. After driving an hour and a half to Minocqua where the Vet said he could be boarded after 72 hour because the oral vaccine takes affect faster. She stated she doesn't trust what the vets say (apparently she knows more than someone with a medical degree) and made us wait until a week. Therefore my in-laws dropped him off for us then and were a little late (my fault again I admit - I was looking at the weekend hours). She was rude to my mother-in-law and almost didn't take our dog. We will NOT be taking our dog back to this facility.

Our dog has anxiety issues, but he seemed very happy, tired, and comfortable with Stacy when we picked him up. The facility is nice, clean and the dogs have sufficient room to play.
