This place is run by a woman who absolutely loves animals and is particularly great with dogs. Would board my pets here in a heartbeat.

TW: pet death In my opinion and the opinion of many…read morerespected organizations/state boards, intracardiac euthanasia ("cardiac stick") is considered a method of last resort and certainly never a preferred way to euthanize an animal (not considered a "good death" which is what the word euthanasia means). Yet, this is the means AWVH chose to put down my pet IN FRONT OF ME. Yes, pet was sedated first in case that makes a difference to you. No, I was not offered an IV catheter for the more humane and traditional method. It all happened so fast without any word of exactly what was happening (or choice) until it was happening. Was that the beginning and end of this traumatic experience? Not even close. They had the body bag hanging on the outside of the door, so I saw it multiple times as staff went in and out of room. An assistant came in and clumsily did a paw and nose print in front of me shortly after the procedure. The staff were loud and laughing outside the door while we mourned. I received multiple pushy phone calls to pick up ashes. What an absolute sh*t show. Even more happened, but this should be enough to help you decide whether to choose AWVH for your pet's end of life needs.

Chippies Place - Grooming

So today I want to do just that. Chippie's Place has been an absolute lifesaver for me and my fur child, Willow. Before finding them, we had a horrible experience with another local grooming and daycare facility that unfortunately even resulted in an emergency vet visit. It was incredibly upsetting and honestly left me feeling scared to trust anyone else with my baby. While we were at the vet, they recommended Chippie's Place. I was still nervous, but I decided to give them a call and schedule Willow's first visit. That first day I probably looked like a crazy dog mom because I stayed glued to the cameras watching her the whole time. But what I saw was a team that was patient, loving, attentive, and truly cared about the dogs in their care. Now we have been going there for a couple of months, and Willow absolutely loves it. When I tell her in the morning, "Let's go to daycare," she gets excited. As soon as I turn onto their road, she gets even more excited and is ready to jump out of the car and run inside. They do a wonderful job grooming her, but more than that, they treat her with patience and kindness. I look forward to seeing her photos during the day, and little things like the Valentine's card they helped Willow make for me just show how much heart they put into what they do. I honestly didn't think I would find a place that would love and care for my baby the way I do, but they truly do. Thank you, Chippie's Place, for giving Willow a place where she is safe, happy, and loved. That means more than you know. And if Willow could type this herself, I'm pretty sure she'd say, "Five paws up and see you tomorrow!"

Brindy can't get out of the car fast enough when he realizes he's going to "play with his buddies". They are incredibly accommodating, having allowed us to change our plans last minute several times. The young people who work with the dogs are great! They genuinely know and love their pups! Brindy is greeted by name right away and he comes home worn out but very happy. This is especially important to us as my husband and I both are getting older and have run into physical issues the last few years that limit our energy and mobility to give Brindy all the exercise and active play he needs and deserves. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I wouldn't take my pup any where else. Highly recommended.

After over 30 calls to different pet boarding facilities and All saying " sorry,we are completely booked for the Thanksgiving holiday" Guided Footsteps Canine Camp came to my rescues! I will be fully transparent I am very protective of my fur babies so was a bit hesitant at first as I was only use to one specific boarding school to watch them however there was only room for my feline at that facility and not my canine. So unfortunately they were going to be separated. Alicia from Guided Footsteps was so thorough with her processes, very informative, communication remained consistent. To add, Alicia had A-1 review ratings, testimonials on google and her official website. Once o was able to get all my questions answered and agree to boarding, Alicia sent all her paper work electronically to review and sign off on. Very easy confident process. She also gives you an itemized break down of your daily charges for you to review before confirming the booking. There was no pressure, no fine print, no hidden fees, everything was straight forward. Alicia also has 5 fur babies of her own in which one happens to be a black lab name Buddy who looked like a twin to my black lab Onyx which was very cool! Onyx gained 5 new besties and I can tell he missed them. Alicia sent us daily updates and attached photos of Onyx playing or relaxing. She sent us the absolute cutest thanksgiving photo I'll post with this review. Alicia's proactiveness and communication brought my family and I lots of comforts knowing our Onyx was in great hands! I absolutely do plan to utilize Alicia's services in the future. She has been a true blessing and nothing but amazing! I highly recommend Guided Footsteps Canine Camp!
