There was one time we came, and that was for some farewell drinks for a friend of mine, however, until recently, that was the only time I ever went there (though I may have popped in a couple of other times). I came back here again when I was back in Adelaide, simply to check it out again. I have to say that it's not bad, though it is pretty flashy. There is a really nice beer garden out the back, which is non-smoking to boot. However they only have the standard beers on tap, so it's not a place I would go back to all that often.

Got the steak - I asked for medium rare and the steak actually came out well done... Had the steak been cooked medium rare then I would have scored a 5 as the average score for my visits here as pretty much everything else I've eaten here has been lovely and even though the steak Wasn't cooked the way I like it, it was tasty and not tough or chewy at all... The pork, pizzas and pan fried chicken are yummy too... The wood oven pizzas are actually to die for. Nice pub with a nice outdoor area and the staff are friendly and welcoming which is great. During the week or during the day is probably the best time to go as on the weekend at night it can be really busy. We will be back again soon I would say!

Additionally we were only offered bar menus and when we requested for a regular dining menu, we were told that they could not provide then due to a wedding event that they are catering to and could not accommodate us. If this was the case, then, why didn't they tell us that when we fist walk into the restaurant and seated us outside. I thought at first It was quite odd to seat us outside when the dining area was nearly empty; but after they told us that they could not accommodate our dining menu, that's when we realized there is some type of racial and age discrimination going on that we -- as as senior Asian citizen group sensing. Without creating any further commotion, we decided to walk away and take our business elsewhere. As a season cruiser who like to enjoy fine dining, I would NOT recommend this place!!! Mind you, you are looking across the river to the industrial part of Port Adelaide so the view actually isn't all that fantastic. Also, it is a bit further back from the river than I expected it to be, which means you have a pretty good view of some undeveloped land and a bunch of fishermen. The atmosphere has changed dramatically and it is much more of a trendy inner city pub that your local suburban watering hole. The vibe of this place is on point, it's cosy and classy and the tunes they play ties this all up together into an aesthetic dream. A friend of mine first took me here for their tapas and I fell in love with their sauteed mushroom and egg yolk dish. Truly amazing, I literally dream about those mushrooms! All the other tapas I've had have been great too and the prices are too bad. They have a range of 'single serves' which are decently sized canapes $2.50-$3 each. They also have a range of cheese platters, salads, sandwiches and many other plates ranging from $5-$15. Would definitely recommend this place as a first date if you are looking to impress, to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while or for a classy 'girls night'.
