This store has an amazing sale every week! I love the selection. Tons of books and clothes and plenty of kitchenware! I have found some gems here for a fraction of most thrift stores. Cashier was very friendly to me and everyone ahead of me in line. Was helpful in explaining how their discount system works (every Sunday tags go up in their discount value) and was charismatic. They had a very full selection of clothing for all people. They however don't organize by size or at least don't have markers indicating the size. The had some recognizable brands like Patagonia and Columbia. Things seemed reasonable priced especially with the changing discounts items could be up to 90% off. read more

One of the best thrift store I've ever been to, I left an item there and went back the next day to get it. Well it wasn't where they usually put them so they ended up call the cashier at home and then still had to walk around looking until they finally found it. These guys went above and beyond to find the item and get it back to me and were as nice as they could be while doing it! They never once looked like it was a problem and were happy to help me which you don't fond often these days! I can't tell you how much I appreciate what they did and how sweet they were while have I g to look all over the store for it! Thanks again :) And please stay as sweet as you are! Stumbled across this thrift store and was pleased in all of the beautiful statement pieces I bought. The pieces included an African wooden necklace, a beautiful collared metal necklace, and designer belts. All below $6!!! The only con to this place is that there's no changing rooms. Couldn't buy any clothes and there were plenty of beautiful clothes. Advice for this place... make a fitting room so you can sell more. Bargain Thrift is just what is sounds like - Always a bargain! The best part about this thrift store is their massive discounts. Almost every colored tag is discounted anywhere from 10%-90%. This is a pretty good sized thrift store and its packed with mostly clothes and a little bit of housewares/miscellaneous. As usual for most thrift stores, its mostly stuff from the early 2000s that you finally convinced your Mom to giveaway. But the fun part about thrift stores is finding that special item that is either cute vintage or something you can alter to bring into 2013., Major downside is no dressing rooms, if it's crowded the aisles are a little narrow/crowded, and the furniture/larger item selection isn't huge. But for me, it only takes a few awesome finds to make a thrift store awesome! read more

I am never quite sure how things end up at one thrift store over another, but in all my adventures hunting for vintage collectibles and art, Bargain thrift rarely disappoints. I have on several occasions discovered terrific art finds. I think they may buy up remaining items from estate sales versus simply taking collections from the public. Depending on whether I hit or right or not, there will numerous high-end items priced pretty reasonably. Be sure to take your iPhone and Google the artists' name or descriptions of the glassware, etc. Some of my better finds include and entire collections of original Jewish art; a painting by Colette from 1978 and a painting by Louise Sherpa Lovett from 1935. I have passed on many more items because I was not sure if they were of value or not. Bargain Thrift also has large collections of everyday dinnerware for sale. Also, I've found highly collectible Tupperware and Club Aluminum here. These items can be almost impossible to find at other thrift stores. This store also has a lot of clothes, bedspreads and some furniture. None of the furniture has ever seemed worth a second glance. Scour the purses and you might find a gem. I did and sold it on ebay for $100. I also found a Knipps vintage Umbrella, which is so cool! The downside of Bargain Thrift is the same downside to every thrift store. You have to wade through a lot of junk to find the treasure. In my opinion, it's easier to do this at BT than any other thrift store in town. read more

This place is awesome for its home goods. You can score some seriously amazing things like Halloween costumes at 50% off. Or even a NIB bread machine for 7.50! I have spent 3 hours in here when I had only assumed I would spend 20 minutes. Come join me and find a stellar deal! This is one of my favorite thrift stores in OKC. I have been a lifelong thrifter and regularly stop here. Let me break it down for you... Pros: Lots of bric-a-brac. Tons of dishes and glassware. Lots of knick knacks. Great place to find books, and they always have lots of small appliances. Also have good selection of furniture and decor as well. Tons of kids toys. Good selection of books and linens. Always well stocked with clothing. Lots of purses and shoes. Some items are bagged - prices are pretty good here unless it is something they think is special. Color coded tags and graded discounts according to color. Staff is friendly, and I don't think I have ever found an item here without a tag. Cons: Store is not well organized. Be prepared to dig. It is not uncommon to find broken glassware or dishes on the shelves. Some of the furniture (IMO) should be put in the dumpster. This place does not seem to have a standard of cleanliness or condition when it comes to furniture. I do not think this store is very clean. Almost always has unsupervised children running and playing in the toy section while their parent is in another part of the store. If you don't mind digging and if you can deal with a little disorganization, you can find some good treasures here. read more

I have been to many thrift stores and this one is the BEST kept secret. It's a giant store and they always have a great selection of items from furniture to clothes and other knick knacks. I love their pricing system. Every Sundays (sometimes every other Sundays) are their sale days when they move the colored tags up a higher discount. I have told many of my friends about Bargain Thrift Store. Honestly, I'm a little nervous that if a lot of people know about this little gem, than the competition is higher for me to be there early to get first dibs. I am trying to get in touch with someone who could do something about the horrible service that a woman and her 2 kids received there. I have left a message through fb ,I tried to call and tell about something that I witnessed happening the other night and the person who said he was the general manager said they should've kicked me out as soon as I 1st cussed them I wasn't even involved I just wanted to talk to him and tell him what I had seen and heard .He never gave me a chance said that and hung up on me.I called back he picked up the phone said nothing put me on hold he won't talk to me I care now not to talk to him . Someone has given them the power to which they feel they can walk on water and treat people disrespectful if that is there using that family did not deserve what they went through in that store that night I shop there quite often and I will say this more often than not it is not a welcoming environment especially when it gets close to closing time to which it was this night your worker with great pleasure called her the B word when she went up front to complain about it to the guy he shrugged his shoulders and said what do you want me to do about it I'm just a worker I'm not a manager so the girl came up right then and called her another B word and told her I could have you barred from here . It would be very nice if I could somehow have contact with you (owners) to know you care about how your customers are treated in your place of business I would love to tell you what I witnessed in your store in front of a small child who only wanted her mom to buy her 2 shirts she herself was carrying them , The mom told the worker several times look at how you're acting in front of my little girl this is a very small child about I would say maybe 6, 7 at the most Figure of speech I didn't have a dog in this fight until the GM today decided that he didn't wanna talk with me because he thought I was the person involved that night but another figure of speech I was on the outside looking in and your help was 100% in the wrong for what happened that night and they should not be allowed to treat people like that, I work with the public and have all my life and I never would ever treat someone like that or I would expect to be looking for another job. Pros: large selection, lots is stuff marked down (found ladies pants and a jacket for 1.50-2.00). Cons: no fitting room, which is kind of a big deal when their ladies blouses are originally priced at 6.99. I saw jackets (with flaws) for 15.99.... not even a mirror to see yourself in. Also, racks are "organized" by price (except that none of the racks I saw were). Found lots of clothing items without tags and heard the cashier say they wouldn't sell anything without a tag. Quality control was lacking - lots of items with stains. Verdict: only look at the colored tags that are 50-90% off. Those are actually good deals, but still risky if you can't try on clothes. Take a tape measure for pants. Check VERY thoroughly for stains and flaws. And expect to work hard to find a good deal. read more

This store, due to a problem they had with a child damaging a piece of paid for furniture, would not let my friend purchase a sofa and chair yesterday because we had no way of moving it. We would have found a way within the day, but the cashier would not let us pay for it, pay for it and hold for the afternoon, or just place on hold for the afternoon. Even if we had a way to transport, the store had no one to move the furniture to the loading door or help lift onto a vehicle. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor, and I was told she is the supervisor, for 2 months, and the other supervisor would not be in until Monday and would tell me the same thing and I could talk to him then. Fine, but she wanted to buy the furniture and did not want to risk waiting and losing it. I requested the owner name, with no success. I tried to talk to the supervisor about making an exception, and I am sure because of my persistence, I was told to leave. I did not leave, but I told her I would no longer make my donations to this store, and was told I was bullying. Just could not get a professional situation started. I had recommended this store to my friend to help her furnish her apartment and I have donated many things to this store. I was not even their for myself. read more

I went to the store on Friday and made a purchase and at the time I commented how the total seemed very high. I ended up leaving because we had to go to pick someone up from the airport right away. I live away from the store but work near it so I took the the sweater back this evening to show that I was charged two times for it. I have the receipt I have the sweater with the tags still on it. I was told that the store does not do refunds I'm not asking for a refund I'm asking for your overcharging of my bank account to be given back to me. I was charged for two of the exact same item I only have one of them this is a thrift store I am not trying to return the sweater I want the sweater however I need my money back for the second charge this is a store mistake not my mistake and I was treated very rudely and told that I'm not getting my money back so I will never ever go here and I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because they're probably pilfering money from lots of their customers and no one ever says anything. A friend of mine went and purchased some items and sunglasses case she paid for it and they didn't even put it in her bag so now they're going to resell that same item to somebody else and get twice the money. Just like they got twice the money for me for one sweater. read more

Large store with a huge selection of pretty much everything you'd find a thrift store. When I first walked in I spotted a dress near the door for $14 so at first I was worried if this place was really a bargain but the other prices were more reasonable. Be sure to come with enough time to go through everything because it's seems like they put everything they have out on the shelves. The clothing racks are not organized by size or color but by short sleeves, jeans etc. and most racks are stuffed with clothing so you have to force your way to get an item out. The knick knacks are just thrown on the shelves so you really have to dig to see what all is there and be careful not to break anything. The drinking glasses and shoes were the two areas that were nicely laid out and the electronic area wasn't too bad. Some toys were in bags so it was hard to tell if there was anything good in them. The purses and bags were a mess to go through although a few purses were hanging. I didn't try to look through the books because although the titles could be easily read they weren't in any kind of order so you have to read every title to find a good one. There were also a couple of bins full of books that I only looked across the top of. All that being said I would go back because I feel like if you have the time to dig you can find some treasures. read more

If you're willing to buy thrift store clothing without trying it on, go here. They don't have dressing rooms, and will not let you try it on in the restroom. I mean yeah it's cheap, but is it worth it when you get it home and it doesn't fit? I understand liability but this is the only thrift store I know of that doesn't have a place for you to try on, and I'm not going to slip it on in front of everyone with my clothing still on. Women's clothing through the decades and through brands vary so greatly that it's impossible to know if it'll fit without trying it on. Very disappointed I just spent an hour browsing without knowing this. The only reason I didn't give a one star is because they have a good selection. read more

This is probably my favorite thrift in Okc. The clothing selection is extensive and cheap. I almost always find something cute. I find very few (if any) damaged articles which is surprisingly hard to come by at some other thrifts and many of them are decent brands. The clothes are organized by price but not by size so it's a bit of a treasure hunt. Also, the lack of dressing rooms has made me skip purchases if I wasn't certain about the fit. The shoes are not great at all and I typically ignore them altogether but in general it's a great place for adorable outfits. read more

We saw a chaise lounge that I desperately wanted, but I was driving my 2 door car. They would not hold the item for us to go get a truck to haul it home in (within a 20 minute time frame). EVEN IF I PAID RIGHT THEN, THEY WANTED IT OUT OF THEIR STORE. Crappy customer service IMHO, as we were going to spend $90 on a piece of furniture. We won't be going back. read more

While I must say that they do have great bargains, I had the WORST customer experience here this morning. Bargain Thrift Stores really do have some very shady policies. I drove up to the store at 5 A.M. to purchase a television. I have a video and timestamp on my phone of the EMPTY parking lot and how I was the very first one there. I was waiting outside when a lady drove up at 7:15 and set her chair up right beside me at the front door. 15 minutes before the store opened, a car drove up and a girl got out who was a friend of the lady that was waiting in the chair. The girl that had just arrived waited until 2 minutes before the store opened and called an employee (one of her friends who works at the store) and told her to open the door that she was standing in front of first. The girl immediately ran inside and demanded that the employee sell her the television. I asked for the store manager and explained that I had been first in line since 5 A.M. standing in the freezing cold and that the tv should be sold to me. He got very irate and told me that the first person through the door who asks about the product gets it. He totally ignored the fact that I had proof that I was the first customer at the store that day. I was absolutely LIVID. This is VERY POOR customer support. I have spent over $75,000 in the store in the past 6 months. Needless to say, there are some shady employees working at the store that play favorites. I distinctly heard the woman on the phone tell the employee which door to open first so that she could have first dibs on the television. I WILL be filing a complaint with the BBB and letting all of my friends who are religious thrift store shoppers to avoid this business at all costs. I was treated very unfairly and I will spend my money elsewhere. read more
