I couldn't find the wooden statue of Merlin yesterday which is supposed to stand here perhaps it has been removed for renovation or repair. I had voluntered as my wife has not received the 3rd (booster jab) yet and I am not as au fait as my wife in finding the necessary aisle and product so after two hours of Christmas shopping I was struggling. I am after all 68 yrs old and have had 3 hip operations in recent years. Then a miracle happened. Maureen apeared and asked me if I needed any help so in no time at all the remaining dozen os so items that I could not find were in my basket. The biggest downside of this shop is it gets so busy you really have to be careful what time you go, opt for early morning if you want to do some serious shopping as the queues can be long.
