While Esch came…read morethrough on my search, it also meant having to withstand the relentless cigar smoke happening around me. Then again, this bar specializes in cigars. Whether you're looking to buy a stogie or smoke your own, they will happily take care of you. The 3 stars isn't for the cigar smoke though (you know what you're signing up for when you sit here), but rather my lackluster caipirinha. They serve food here too, but considering that there's no refuge from the smoke (you can also smoke indoors), I can't imagine eating here. If you're a smoker, Esch will make your day.

I would say we made an educated decision and reaped all the benefits. Pro tip - you don't have to pay cover on this street! There's plenty of places that don't charge cover (although "better" clubs do tend to charge cover). They do ask to check passports and they accepted a photo of a passport when accompanied by another form of photo ID We went on Valentine's Day night and there was a $R20 cover, but we got a $R20 drink ticket. All is fair in love and booze here at Inferno. Drinks are made with GENEROUS pours. I'd recommend getting two vodka shots if you have $R20 to blow. The theme of the night was neon paint party. There were small pots of neon paints that we had a blast with painting our faces/bodies Music is great! Loud where it's a bit difficult to talk, but you can still do it. It's def no where as loud as a favela rave where you can feel the sound waves vibrating your organs. Selection was a bunch of top 40 throwbacks, 95% american music (think Maroon 5, backstreet boys, gwen stefani) We loved it! There are also poles on stage available to use as a dancing prop Bathrooms are tiny! There's someone guarding them so you girls can't sneak into the boys' room, womp womp

Located inside Paulistano Mercado Municipal since 1933, and serving locals from 4:30am daily, Bar…read moredo Mané offers a wide range of Snacks and Sandwiches, though none is so well known as the stuffed Mortadella with Cheese. Officially São Paulo's first grocery market, the size and scope making Mercado Municipal a popular attraction amongst tourists as well as locals, it is towards the middle that guests will find Bar do Mané ever-busy, its countertop flanked by tables on this particular morning seating everything from men in business attire to local police officers and a young Asian couple fluent in English. Known for large portions and superior Ingredients, Ceratti Meats and locally-baked Bread the base upon which a bevy of Sandwiches are built, those interested in salgados will find no lack of options from Sweet to Savory, R$12 yielding a fist-size Bolinho de Bacalhau stuffed with Salt Cod, Mashed Potatoes and Onion beneath crisp and oilless Casava Flour. Not waiting long for Bar do Mané's signature item, staff slicing Mortadella in quick strokes while the Bolinho cooled enough to eat, it was the smaller of two sizes that nonetheless featured enough Sandwich to share, each layer griddled to create a lightly browned edge and the residual heat helping to melt creamy yellow Cheese. Salty but balanced, and an indisputable bargain at just R$23, it was moments before the Sandwich was finished that Dessert arrived, griddled Bananas and Dulce de Leche carefully folded in Pastry that is the deep-fried and coated with Cinnamon-Sugar to create a taste not dissimilar from that of Bananas Foster.

A must when you visit Sao Paulo, delicious Mortadella sandwich, great service! Highly recommended.read more

From an…read moreAmerican POV (San Francisco or New York) this place has the capability to rival any trendy bar (with good eats) of either American City. Unless your Portuguese is good, you gotta go with a local. They assign an entry card to each person which allows you to wander the open seating areas and order and drink from different locations, this is something rarely seen in the US. Your total is tabulated from this assigned card, so don't lose or trade it. For Americans and Europeans, the benefit of Brazil is the strength of our currencies which makes everything about 65%-70% off of equivalent food and drinks in the US at the time of this writing (July 2022.) Check out the site: https://bardosarcos.com.br/en/home/ It's true, this place is built underground and you go downstairs to a large basement area that's been completely redone. Well appointed and freedom to move from place to place. This is not a restaurant, it's a bar that also served great food. This is not your sit-down dinner place, think mobile and meeting lots of people outside of your circle. Don't be shy.... Service is not like the US, it's important to have an aggressive local to help flag down the wait staff, once you do, the service is great. They hire an attractive staff so it's fun to interact. Food-wise - excellent- some were better than others, splitting into two groups: Top Picks: Coxinha Quinteto Desculpe o Aue Sertao Pegando Fogo (Best dish of the night) Baiao do Mar Vatapa All Drinks (props to the bar, they ain't messin' around) Next Level Below: Manifesto Regionalista Classic Arco Gnocchi Existe Amor em SP Grain Salad Would return again, bring your date and a local (or just a local date, haha) Obrigado
