Most of these reviews are a joke. Windows not coming in due to a highly strained market and no one could find windows during that time. Another review about how they lost everything then had to move into a crummy rental.... cmon people! do you not realize that after a disaster that housing is tough to get for ALL OF THOSE AFFECTED!!!??? jesus people! I've been doing business with BPM for over 3 years now and they are the absolute best property management team around. They care deeply about people and jump through hoops to take care of everyone they can. Some renters don't understand that EVERYTHING must be APPROVED through the home owner! The PM doesn't own it they just manage it. Every single bad review that can be found is clearly based in feelings and not facts. Some people just feel the need to tear everyone around them down when their feelings get hurt. This place is seriously awesome. They have been incredibly fast and helpful with any issue we have had. Not sure why all the negative reviews. The ladies up front have always been super nice and helpful and responsive with communication. We had several issues with appliances during our stay and they were SUPER fast getting help for us. I was a tenant with this company for three years. I am a disabled xray technologist that works part time, due to panic disorder, adhd, ptsd, and bipolar. I absolutely loved where I lived, until the hail storm in 2021. I was awaken by glass flying through my living room. The storm broke 6 of nine of my windows. I was traumatized once again. Due to Covid, they were unable to get windows in. I sat in darkness, while going through Eye Movement Desensitization reprocessing. I didn't stay at my house alot because it was depressing with no sunlight. BPM assured me in July that I would have windows soon. I was trying to be patient, but the windows never came. After consulting with another landlord, they recommended in October to withhold my rent from Bpm to get them moving. Bpm took me to court for the rent and the judge ordered me to pay 710 instead of 860. Mind you also, I had to sleep with Off on because the windows were boarded up with the thinnest plywood available. I kept complaining about losing air and heat, but they did nothing, till I withheld rent. After the judgement, windows were in after 2 weeks. They did not replace screens on windows and I was not able to get fresh air. The house was loaded with termites too. On March 29th I received a certified letter stating I had to vacate the premises in 30 days. I was unable to find another place to live for 3 months. After moving out, my mom developed stage 4 cancer of the brain. I have found a new place to live and God is great. Please don't rent with this company!! They are slum lords!!! read more

This company is terrible! We rented from them in September 2013, after the tornado in Moore that year destroyed our home. We lost everything! Shortly after we moved in my wife lost her property management company. The majority of her properties were in the Moore area and took a direct hit. This horrible management company moved us into a home that was heavily smoked in, smelled like dog piss, filthy carpet with pet stains and burn holes. It wasn't like we had much choice under the circumstances. After, renting from them for almost five years the owner decides to sale the home. We moved out and all the home needed was new carpet and paint, which is what it needed when we moved in. These snakes keep my large deposit and charged me an additional $1800 to cover the cost to replace the very thing they wouldn't replace for my family after loosing everything! They are an absolute joke! The best advice I can give anyone that comes across any if their homes is ......Don't walk........run!!! read more

We have been using BPM for almost 3 years now and they have always treated us so well. We rarely have problems with our home, but if an issue has came up they respond to our request quickly and have the problem fixed within 24 hours. Customer service is key with them and they're almost like family. Lydia is great and Tom has always been wonderful while showing us property. I lived in a property managed by BPM for about 18 months. They were really great at communicating throughout the application process, got a tour squared away ASAP, and were flexible with my move in schedule. While I lived there, they responded to maintenance requests within hours, if possible. They were very communicative and easy to get in contact with throughout my entire stay. I am so beyond disappointed with this property management company. We are from Kansas city and were planning a move to Oklahoma. We called them a few days prior to us coming to Oklahoma to look at some of their properties to set up an appointment to see the properties. We only had one real day (while in town) to view the properties. We found one online (their website) that we fell in love with and knew that we would like. We filled out an online application AND sent in the $60 (for my husband and I) application fee. The applications SAT PENDING until about 11 am on the day that we were in Oklahoma to look at houses. We had money on hand and were ready to put a deposit and first month's rent down. After trying NUMEROUS times in the days prior to our one day in OK to set up times to view properties, we were given the run around and calls were not returned.. We had to reach out to them. And a time was never actually made for us to view any properties. We were also told that our applications were pending the whole time, or that there was missing paperwork and couldn't process it until they had it all. It would have been nice to get a call from them letting us know what we were missing instead of just taking our money and sitting on the application, wasting our time. Luckily, while driving through a neighborhood where they had a property, we found another house that we were able to view right away, with a different property management company. We instantly took it. At 12pm we called Bare Property Management to inquire about getting our $60 back for the application they did NOTHING for, for the property that we NEVER looked at. Come to find out we were approved! Funny how that happened when we called to let them know that we were no longer interested. We understand that it is a non refundable fee for the applications, but it is SUPER shady that they did not even do ANYTHING on our applications, and when we call to let them know we changed our mind, it was all of a sudden approved! We are not going to argue for our money back, because I would be beating my head against a wall. I just wanted to share what kind of business this company is running. Clearly they do not care about the people they are "serving" only about the money. A good tactic would have been to apologize and offer our money back. read more

Worst company! BPM have very poor communication skills. Do not fill out a application to rent they will be very SLOW to contact you back if they contact you at all. I am convinced they make most of there money from application fees. read more

I wound not rent from them, I moved in with damage in the house, that I was told would be taken care of, a huge storm came while I was living there, it took 3 months to fix the fence that blow down, and now that are charging me for the screen that blow off and the damage to the house that was already there. I would defiantly look in to renting from a different company. I was in a tight spot when I had to move and there were not a lot of options for me, they made promised that they did not keep, so now they are keeping my deposit and charging me an extra 750 dollars. I WOULD NOT USE THEM, PAY MORE TO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHERE THE COMPANY TAKES CARE OF THAT THEY SAY THEY WILL..... read more

Although we have not personally rented from BPM they are great people and great downtown neighbors. I would recommend them to anyone!

Be prepared to get nickeled and dimed when your lease is up! We rented a property in Norman through BPM last year and had no issues WHILE we were renting. Upon ending our lease with BPM, there was no walk-through. I followed the move-out checklist that was given and turned in the keys as instructed. The only thing I will admit I forgot to do, was change the airfilters (that were extremely dirty when we moved in, but we did not take the time to climb up and look at them upon signing off on our move-in form). Obviously, I was very surprised to see that BPM charged us an extra couple hundred dollars (taken out of our security deposit) a couple weeks after turning my keys in. These charges were for things such as $65 for changing 2 small airfilters, $15 in batteries for changing out batteries in the smoke detectors (which were in good working condition when the keys were turned in), $40 for light bulbs (which were also all in good working condition when the keys were turned in). Lydia emailed with me a few times claiming that she would check into the inquiries, but then failed to return my call when I called to directly talk to her about the issues. I'm deeply disappointed in this rental company and would caution anyone looking to rent to set aside extra money for what this management company will "find wrong" when you move out. Especially since there is no walk-through done with anyone from the company... they can claim that lights were out, smoke detectors were chirping, etc and without any solid proof that they actually were. read more

This company could get five stars but they decided that our relationship should be severed. I allowed them to manage a rental while I lived out of state. When I decided to put the house on the market, they told my tenants that they would have to move out at the end of the lease even though we would have allowed them to go month-to-month. It is quite obvious that they were angry with our decision to allow a different realtor to market the house because they shut off all services rather than putting them into a landlord connection under my name. Now my realtor is forced to show the house during 100 degree weather with NO UTILITIES on. I would call this passive-agressive tactics that are not at all about community and the good of everyone involved. They made a lot of money off of my rental for 2 years! I would not recommend BPM to anyone. Our current, local Norman realtor used to send them business but she will no longer do this. read more
