Ordered the Rincon and it was the perfect first meal to cool down on a hot day! I ordered a size small and it was very filling, especially since they are generous with the toppings. They hooked it up by throwing in an extra side of granola too! I also ordered it with a honey and peanut butter drizzle. The slices of strawberry and banana were perfectly ripe and fresh. They have three bowl sizes to order from: mini, small, and regular. Some bowls only come in regular size though, as stated on the menu. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving an acai bowl. They are located in the University Ave area and there's a public parking lot across the street with free 2-hour parking.

A trendy smoothie spot tucked into the heart of Palo Alto, conveniently located at University Ave. The ambiance of the store is really nice, almost like a surfer beach vibe -- they serve acai bowls and smoothies. The service was friendly and efficient. While I loved the concept, I felt like my actual drink (PB Dreamin' Smoothie) fell short and was WAY too expensive for what I ended up getting.

Love the vibe in here! Sad that it's a screen ordering system instead of with a person as I love meeting who makes the drinks. Nonetheless I have zero complaints on these two drinks, absolutely delightful!!

My sister and I wanted to get some fresh juice or smoothies in the morning, so we walked over. Bare Bowls is in the heart of University Ave, so there's a lot of street parking available. It offered a cute, SoCal vibe inside. Since we were the only people ordering, it took around 10 minutes to make both smoothies. I got the Aloha smoothie and added chia seeds, and it came out to roughly $15. I was a bit shocked to see a smoothie so expensive. While it was an 8/10 drink, I don't think I'd come back often. And if I do, I'll probably opt for an acai bowl, since you get a larger food quantity for a similar price.

We were excited to ride our bikes to this newly discovered smoothie shop. We arrived and there was no one else there. They have a good selection of items on their menu that looked tasty to try. I got the Cardinal Bowl and my boo got the PB Dreamin' Smoothie. My bowl had decent flavor, although for the price I would have liked if they asked if I wanted honey as that is a free option (I didn't find out till it was too late). The smoothie was good, she was happy with it and the flavor was yummy. I appreciated that they have a lot of non dairy options for milks, actually most of their items are made with cashew milk or you can substitute it with an alternative. My fiance is severely allergic to dairy and was excited for all the options she could have! Overall Bare Bowls is a decent option however it is pretty pricey for what you get. With a $3 tip, our total came out to $30 for 2 items.

I loved this place. It seems like a family business and they all work well together. It's very clean and I enjoyed my avocado toast and Malibu drink. Very tasty and healthy and the service was fast.

Avocado Toast

18 dollars for these small avocado toast. Outrageous. I could have driven to the nearest grocery store and I would have spent less than 18 dollars on a loaf of bread and some avocado and other things. One of them had more green stuff than actual avocado. Disappointing.

Hours as of oct. 17 2022 but they actually close at 3:30p and stops serving at 3p.

Sign says they close at 4p but they actually close at 3:30p and stops serving at 3p, as I was told by a cashier. I came in at 3:07 on a Monday (oct 17) and got turned away. Disappointed. I've been here several times and had consistent service (and good food!) but not today. To BARE BOWLS: if you're going to stop serving at 3p then please update your sign to say 3p. It's not good business practice to say 8a-4p are your hours when it's NOT. Not a happy customer.

Listed hours were 8am - 4pm. We arrived at 8:23am on Saturday morning and it was closed with no one there.

Nice little shop, looked clean for the most part. Unfortunately, and most importantly, disappointing customer service. Door needs to be fixed. Extremely slow service. Staff were busy talking with a friend, not focused on the task at hand. Was a bit uncomfortable as I heard them laughing and talking badly about a different coworker while they were working on my bowl. About a 20 minute wait for a single acai bowl on a empty Sunday during lunch time. Unfortunately taste had no redeeming qualities.

We swung in to get a couple smoothies after a hike. Good location and a lot of street side parking with a lot across the street. The smoothies were really good and we both added whey protein for an extra 1$. The price was steeepppp! 16.00$ each which seems quite overpriced and inflated. A great smoothie but I'll probably not come back as doesn't seem reasonably price. 9-12$ would be reasonable and they are a very typical normal size as well. Service was great with a self order. Newer updated interior with a nice ambiance.

honestly not the biggest fan of bare bowls. i remember coming here a while ago, and it seems like the price has increased significantly over time while the taste is not as great. this time, i tried the BDOML (best day of my life) bowl, which contained pitaya blended with peanut butter, banana, strawberry, and cashew milk and topped with granola, banana, and hemp seeds. overall, it tasted pretty mediocre. the flavors didn't quite mesh together well and it definitely wasn't worth the 18 or so dollars i paid. the inside of the store is rather vibey and i enjoyed the decor. however, it did look a bit messy and not super well kept. service was also pretty mediocre. overall, i couldn't say i recommend stopping here for acai bowls.

Came here after Barry's and got a small Hippie bowl. The bowl came out pretty quickly (~5 minutes). I love that the bowl isn't very sweet and tastes exactly how fruit and veggies would taste naturally blended together. The Hippie bowl has blueberries, bananas, and walnuts on top with hemp and flax seeds. They ask if you want a drizzle of honey on top which adds to the sweetness if you can't do completely plain. The bowls are relatively pricey and of course you can make it cheaper at home, but for an occasional healthy treat, I would come back to Bare Bowls.

Very pricey for what you get - almost $20 for a standard açaí bowl! In addition, service was mediocre. Will not return.

This place is overrated. The ambience is nice but the bowl and bowl are alright. Not worth $20+ per bowl and asking 18% tip!

Everything tasted fresh, smooth, and high quality. The matcha had a rich flavor without being overly sweet, and the hojicha latte had an amazing roasted taste that really stood out. You pay about 8 dollars for a drink or soft serve, and if you ask for light ice they still pack it with ice and honestly you get hardly any drink, secondly lately the lady that made my cone the last few times likes to do a big circle and leave a big hole in the soft serve which also now leaves you with less / hardly any ice cream for your money. Most importantly I had the worst customer service from her this last visit. It was so bad another lady waiting for her items asked for her name and told her the same things I was saying. I have to say the day I went in, the young lady working the register was very sweet and helpful. Hats off to her for knowing what customer service is. Most importantly, the older lady working drinks and the soft serve machine about 1:30 ish ( name might be vaung? Didn't hear after when I walked away) today was rude as all can be and so unprofessional!!! Her alone makes me not want to go back. I ordered 2 drinks and a soft serve. My order was called out. when I went to retrieve it, It was missing the soft serve and the one drink didn't have the soft serve in it either. I told her my order is missing two things and she yells out this is order 2. I said it's wrong and she pushes the drinks towards me. I explained again what's wrong and she proceeded to help someone else. Comes back and says this is your order. I pull out my receipt and say there's no soft serve cone or soft serve in the drink, and may I please have a bag for the drinks. She goes to make my cone finally, gives me my cone and again I have to say there's no soft serve in the drink. She looks at the drink like I'm lying and then inspected the drink to see if there was any. smh ... literally looks at the drink and starts shaking it to see if there's any. Then finally does go to take care of it. She comes back with it. I asked for a bag again and then she says I need to charge you. Mind you, i'm holding the cone in one hand and the two drinks in my other arm against my chest . Whether or not you're supposed to charge is beyond the point it's the fact that she never apologized. It took more than once to get this right and then you're gonna make me go pay for a bag separately when my hands are full with two drinks and an ice cream cone on top of it. It was the way she handled it all. She was rude!!!! On top of it, then another lady actually proceeded to complain about her because she was rude to her as well, and she laughed at us, like it was okay for her to be rude or whatever we're saying was a joke. Worst customer service I've ever had in there and I felt this is something that should be mentioned. on top of it lastly she left a nice big hole in the middle of my cone so I barely got any ice cream. Might not care because I'm just one person, but they just lost a customer. Maybe two from what I saw today. Do better!! With all the other business around if someone is choosing to come in to your establishment, they should not be treated rude. Looking at some of the other reviews as well, I see the ice thing and bag thing has been repeated. If you know someone's order multiple things and you see they are alone. Maybe ask will you need a bag before hand. Not when they have everything handed to them and then say I need to charge you. I tried to call the management to bring this to them first and there's no answer on the phone or the email I sent over. Maybe they don't care either.

AMAZING!!! One of my all time favorite dessert places in the bay!!!…read more This particular location is SO cute. And also located in a very adorable shopping/restaurant grid, so the surrounding shops and streets are also so nice to walk around in! I was overwhelmed with the delicious options in flavors for the coconut pudding desserts! From persimmon (my favorite), to durian, to mango sticky rice, to black sesame...oh my god asian flavor galore. My friend and I got several flavors because we couldn't just pick one! We tried: Persimmon Mochi - This was my absolute favorite. The mochi at the top wasn't chewy by any means, but it had such a nice goopy mouth feel that was very different from the tofu-like pudding. The persimmon itself was so fresh and sweet, just simply addicting. I loved it so much I ordered another one to bring home. Durian - If you like durian, you'll like this. While the flavor was delicious and fresh, I wasn't particularly wowed because all the other flavors seemed to have some extra huzzah going for it. The durian one was mainly some mashed durian on top of the coconut pudding, without any pomp and circumstance. Don't get me wrong, still delicious, just a bit more straightforward than I expected. Mango Sticky Rice - LOVED this one!! This was a 3 layer dessert, with mango at the top, coconut pudding in the middle, and purple sticky rice at the bottom. The rice was an excellent chew texture, and the layered spoonfuls were divine! I would definitely get this flavor again!!! Black Sesame - I loved how the black sesame portion on the top was its own texture/consistency! I liked how thick it was, and fragrant. We also ordered the corn latte and the matcha cloud! The corn one was bit too grainy for me, especially towards the latter half, but the matcha cloud was SO good. The matcha was a deep earthy flavor, definitely quality! And the cream at the top was to die for. The interior is so adorable, and very comfortable to sit and catch up with a friend in! The staff is so nice, and I love that with every order, they hand you a cute little paper bag with utensils and napkins already set in it. Everything was just packaged in such a careful and whimsical way. Just such a treasure of a desert spot! There is a 3hr free parking garage only a block away. Various street parking spaces available too, but it gets pretty hard to find a spot since this area is so busy.

Too pricy and not something I will try again! Parking is a nightmare!…read more However the sitting area is nice!

Barry's fuel bar is genius because you can pre order your smoothie, so it'll be waiting for you after your class. So fast, easy, and convenient! Barry's claims to choose ingredients that help you recover quickly (so you can come back again haha). Apparently, if you refuel with protein within 20-30mins after your workout, you can decrease the amount of soreness you feel the following days. The smoothies are a little pricey, most of them being $10+. I wouldn't get one after every workout, but if I want to treat myself and refuel, I would go for one!
