This shop is kinda like Sportgirl's sassy little sister. It's a little bit funky, a little bit sexy, and a whole lotta fun. But this is one little "sibling" who's got big dreams - since its humble beginnings in Melbourne in 1996 with one small shop and 5 staff, Bardot is now a huge operation with around 50 stores, and loads of international groupies.
As with Sportsgirl, I'm way too old to be the target customer, but since when has that stopped me braving the teenage hordes to eye up the merchandise?
In fact, I've still got a rather divine sequinned, black, crepe smock top that I got from here 4 years ago - I've thrown it in the washing machine, worn it every other week and it's still going strong. With barely a sequin missing. A classic wardrobe staple from a fast fashion outlet. Who knew?
So what am I coveting currently? Their just-arrived wooden Aztec earrings and bangles (a snip at under $17 each) and their leopard print "Jungle Fever" knee length dress.
