Magikid Robotics Lab Diamond Bar - 3D Modeling

    Magikid Robotics Lab Diamond Bar

My 9Y son has been attending Magikid for some time now & still enjoys the class like it was day 1…read more He's always learning new material & able to clearly communicate what he has learned to us. The teachers are patient with him & always available to help out when he's stuck. Julia, the front office manager is always available, a text away when I have questions. Would highly recommend the center for kids that want to start their journey with coding, building robotics, and 3D classes.

Usually the first class is free but I did pay $30 - $40 for each trial class. My son didn't like the robotics class at all. He said the instructor was having a hard time keeping the kids engaged or on task. He also said the classroom was dirty and there were not enough parts or components so they had to get some from other rooms. As a new trial student you would think the instructor would give some background or guidance but he said there was no explanation or instruction from the instructor on what was going on. She was just helping kids that needed help or find parts for them. He knew one of the other kids in the class so he just sat next to him and observed (not sure why I had to pay for him to just sit & observe). He was supposed to take the coding class right after, but he was already done and didn't want to go back inside. We went after school on a Friday so he was already tired. Since I already paid for both trials, I rescheduled the coding class. They were very accommodating & rescheduled us a couple of times. He said this coding class was much better and the instructor was better. All the coding was done on the computer. My impression from the 3 times I walked in was it's chaotic: kids darting here and there and some parents picking up their kids. There are tables with robotics and coding plaques or instruments by the entrance and hallways, cluttered & dusty. The 2 young gals there were very nice but just sitting at their desks looking at their computer monitors amidst the chaos. They didn't ask him how the trial class went. Didn't seem organized or clean. I had high hopes with all the 5 star reviews on yelp but was not impressed. It's in a narrow and long strip mall with different businesses: a dentist and 2 - 3 other tutoring type afterschool places. Looks like a lot of local kids hang out after school. My son has gone to a dozen or so lego, coding and robotics camps over the last 2 summers and he said he prefers those classes/camps.

Centermac Realty - 64 Boulder View , Irvine CA

    Centermac Realty

In my opinion, it has been a nightmare to work with Kenny Tan from Centermac Realty Inc…read more We first met him at a "landlord seminar." In retrospect, it feels like the seminar was offered solely to fish for the contact info of potential sellers. After the seminar (and after getting our contact information), he bombarded us with calls during daytime work hours to "persuade" us to sell our property. Mr. Tan promised to arrange/coordinate the home repairs so that we could sell the property without much fuss. Due to his continual calls and promises, eventually we gave in and signed the listing contract. After signing, he sent a handyman without license to discuss the repairs, which was totally not what we expected. When we requested a phone conversation with Mr. Tan to clarify the concern, he just dismissed it with a single line email reply. After repeated requests, we had a phone conversation and were given the promise of a TODO list and cost breakdown for the property preparation. But we didn't get any of them until another 3-4 days later. Eventually we were fed up and decided we did not want to move forward with Mr. Tan. Only about one week after we signed the listing contract, we asked for cancellation of the listing contract before he arranges property inspection and MLS listing. Even though it seems like he had not done anything, he refused to cancel the contract, and tried to keep us on the hook indefinitely by offering to put "the contract on hold until we are ready to sell the property" with him. This is our first time trying to sell the property, but it has been an unpleasant experience working with Mr. Tan. After this transaction, we do not plan on ever using him again and it would be our opinion that everyone else should avoid using him as well.

I was able to learn not only for the exam, but also useful tips to be an agent. For someone like me who has no real estate background, I was extremely happy that I was able to pass the BRE exam in three months. After I got my license, I became an agent with Centermac. We still get a lot of valuable trainings by Kenny and Kevin every week. Joining Centermac is one of my best decisions. I strongly recommend Centermac to anyone who wants to start a career as a real estate agent.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rowland Heights School of Music and, especially, Yolly…read more From the very beginning, Yolly has shown an incredible level of patience, understanding, and belief in my son that is truly rare. My son is 19 years old and on the autism spectrum. For years, we tried different approaches and instructors, and despite his interest, he struggled to learn how to read musical notes. In just a couple of months with Yolly, he learned to read music, something several others were unable to teach him over many years. Watching that breakthrough happen was nothing short of amazing. Not only is he learning, but he is thriving. In less than a year, he is already preparing for his first recital, which in itself is a huge milestone. One of the pieces he is performing is The Entertainer, a challenging song that speaks volumes about Yolly's high expectations and her confidence in his abilities. She never limits him; instead, she believes in him and gently pushes him forward. What also stands out is the attention to detail. My son now maintains perfect posture while playing, something Yolly consistently taught and reinforced. Her teaching style is structured yet compassionate, and she truly knows how to connect with her students. I was referred to Rowland Heights School of Music by another parent of a young man on the spectrum. I admit I was skeptical at first, but I decided to try it, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made for my son. If you are a parent looking for a music teacher who is patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in their students' growth, I cannot recommend Yolly and Rowland Heights School of Music highly enough. They have made a lasting impact on our lives.
