A few things to remember with this place: - Make an appointment online. - Cash only. ATMs nearby if you forget. - It's on the 2nd fl/far right. - You have to be buzzed up. I'm extremely happy that I've found my go-to place in Forest Hills. Having moved recently from the Bay Area (California), I've ended my search for a barber.

First time I purchased the facial- haircut and shave package $60 and it took an hour I believe. My son loved it and I enjoyed watching the owner JOEY to work his magic. Second time I brought my little one for his haircut- kid haircut $20 and he wanted a design which again came out looking great. JOEY said designs is not his cup of tea but he did it - A+++ Cut and shave for older son $40 Overall very nice environment. By appointment only for now. Joey is very knowledgeable and super mellow and accommodating. Very satisfied and will be returning Ps: there is another barbershop with similar name and address but this place is upstairs

This was my second time visiting Michael and once again he exceeded my expectations! He is friendly and always up for good banter while giving you your award winning cut. Even a female friend of mine said, "I wish you looked this good in college and maybe things would be different", which hurt my feelings a bit, but regardless, I look amazing now thanks to Michael. I would recommend Gentlemen's Barbershop to my worst enemy, because even in a feud, people need to look their best! Thanks again Mike! See you when my fro grows back.

I honestly wish I could give a better rating because they're really nice people who aren't incompetent or anything but it wasn't a satisfactory experience for me. I've never had a haircut take so long so I don't know what was going on and the end result was not what I would've expected especially given the time spent.

So I was in need of a haircut after several weeks without a buzz. I was trying to arrange a date…read morewith one of my buddies who swears he's a great barber. However, his actual availability never matched the schedule he gave me. After several failed attempts to set up a cut, I decided it was time to move on. I got online and searched for "best barber shops in Queens." Right at the top of the search was Prestige Barbershop here in Lefferts. Honestly, I've walked past this place many times before without stopping. I had the impression that barbershops in Kew Gardens don't always deliver the best fades. Naturally, I assumed this one might be the same and planned to head to Jamaica for a fade instead. But these guys have done something smart. They have a website, offer online scheduling, and showcase all their barbers on Instagram. That's what made me decide to give them a shot. I checked out the barbers and their work on Instagram, and I was impressed -- their fades looked solid. That simple, smart move of being visible online and showing their skills won them a new customer. I told the owner kudos for that. Plus, booking an appointment was really easy and convenient with no back and forth or hassle. If you've ever dealt with barbers who make the scheduling process more complicated than it needs to be, you know what I mean. The cut looks clean, and I like it, though next time I might go back to a fade. I'm used to getting fades, but I'm open to trying new styles. I'll see how it grows out in the next few weeks. The plan was to do a cut that looks good now and continues to look good as it grows in over time. That part remains to be seen. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the haircut, the service, and the shop. If you're in the Kew Gardens area and have been looking for a place that does good fades, stop by and check out Prestige Barbershop. It's right across the street from the 7-11 on Lefferts.

The treatment did not come out the same, and it felt like a cheaper product or formula was used. The prices are reasonable but not cheap, which I don't mind if the quality is consistent. However, the second experience caused me to lose trust, and I won't be returning. The salon is quiet and reasonably clean, and the service was decent. It's also usually not very busy. I originally chose this salon because of the positive Yelp reviews, but after my experience, I'm not sure they reflect the quality I received.
