Complaint 1: Poor Customer Service at Charlottenburg Branch…read more I recently had my second haircut with Motoki, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. I was explaining how I wanted my haircut, but he insisted on cutting it his way. I even mentioned that no matter how good his cut was, it wouldn't matter if it wasn't what I asked for. His facial expressions were unprofessional and dismissive. At one point, he went to the reception and brought another staff member. While I was talking to this person, Motoki suddenly tried to stop me from speaking. When I questioned why he brought him if he didn't want me to talk, he denied bringing him in the first place, which was confusing and unprofessional. Additionally, when I tried to show him which clipper length I wanted, he warned me in a rude manner not to touch his machine. The overall customer service was extremely poor, and I felt uncomfortable throughout the experience. Complaint 2: Booking Mismanagement at Prenzlauer Branch On another occasion, I mistakenly booked an appointment at the wrong branch and went to the Prenzlauer location. The receptionist acknowledged my mistake but kindly offered to reschedule me for an available slot 45 minutes later. I appreciated this and agreed to wait. During that time, I saw a barber I had previously gotten a haircut from and liked. I requested to have my haircut with him, and both the receptionist and the barber agreed. However, when my turn came, I was suddenly assigned to someone else. When I questioned this, I was told that the barber was now busy because another appointment had been booked online. This was frustrating because I was initially told I could have my haircut with him. The receptionist's attitude during this interaction was dismissive and rude. His facial expressions and tone made me feel like he was saying, "Just shut up and get your haircut; I already helped you." This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially for a loyal customer. Final Thoughts You can check my customer history--I am new in Germany and have been coming to your barbershop every two weeks since I arrived. However, these negative experiences, from the receptionists to the barbers, have made me feel unwelcome. This is not how customers should be treated. I am deeply disappointed and, as a result, I have decided not to return to your barbershop. However, if you address these issues and improve customer service, I may reconsider in the future. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work on providing a better experience for your customers. Best regards, Denis Gültekin

When entering the place, a stylish and friendly lady was at the front desk. The barber is situated in the basement. The left and right walls of the entrance are covered by illuminated shelves full of high quality and well-known wannabes Luxurious beard oils, beard shampoos, beard brushes, preshave products and countless other nice gent stuff. I was led downstairs. A friendly guy, the Batista as I found out later, welcomed me with a smile and asked me if I would like something to drink. Whilst waiting for my barber, I had a look at the room. Although it's basement, the room is light and spacious. A guy approached me, shakes my hand and greeted "Hi I'm Nick". He led me to my chair and we bespoke what I wanted. He did a great and professional job!!! He's the first barber (and I've been to many high class and professional barbers) who gave me an accupressure message on my forehead, my neck and my temples after a haircut. It felt great after a stressy working day. The guys there are VERY professional AND friendly. After the haircut was done, I had a coffee at the bar and had a nice chat with the Batista. It was all so relaxing and enjoyable. Later on the lady at the entrance gave some great advice when I needed information about beard oil and some products Nick used to finish my hairstyle. I can recommend this great barbershop 100℅

I will write this review in English for most of the staff members working at M Room are not from…read moreGermany. I have looked quite some time at the website of M Room and I liked the concept. I am very fond of my beard and also very much into all the things that go witrh beards. Grooming products, barbers, the masculine thought behind beards and and and. So today I decided to give it a try and I wwent to the salon near the Hackesche Höfe. I was greeted by a lady from i found out that she comes from Finland and so we spoke English. I actually like that because I am from Amsterdam and I love that Berlin starts to become as international and multicultural and popular as Amsterdam (Amsterdam has this cosmopolitan flair since many many years already). I told the lady that my beard should NOT become TOO short. She started cropping my beard and also adviced me about where a man should wear his beard outline at the throat. She also shaved me nicely with loads of hot and cold towels and applied some after shave balm and moisturizing facial cream. When I looked in the mirror afterwards, the left side of my beard's outline was not straight and quite lower than the right side. When I made a remark, the lady told me that this was because the beard hairs on the left side are growing downwards, while the beardhairs at my right side are growing backwards. Sound quite odd and I haven't got a clue what this has to do with a outline which is not straight, but I am not a barber, right. Anyway I told her that it was not my task to handle with my beard growth directions but hers and that I want to have it straight when I pay € 30 for a beard groom and a shave (even when I pay less I want a straight and correct result). Of course she did but I expect from a professional barber that he or she sees if an outline a correct or not and if not I want it being taken care of without me saying something. And my beard is extremely SHORT now. Even if the FIRST thing I said, when I took place in the barber chair that I DON'T want my beard to get TOO SHORT. Quite ignorant. I am not sure if she didn't understand it (lost in translation? I think my Englisch is quite allright) or if they have a strict philosophy about how long a beard should be, because I have read some comments here and other guys have been complaining about this as well. So ladies and gents who work at M Room, if one of your clients asks you not to crop the beard too short, listen to your client. Maybe you should crop it bit by bit and asl your client in between if it is okay or if it should be shorter and don't ask at the end, when it's too late. It is no problem to shorten more, but it is a huge problem to make a beard longer! The concept of M Rooms is memberships (more to see on their website). The salon was very empty (they don't do appointments) when I compare it to some other barbers in Berlin who are constantly packed. Quite a sterile and cold interior and atmophere. Wont use their service a second time.
