I've been bouncing around looking for a barber ever since mine moved to Pittsburgh (dammit, Shannon). I've gone chain (disaster), I've gone young (flighty) and i've gone, hell I dunno, alternative (never trust a barber who plays his shitty hardcore band over the shop computer) and now I'm going back downtown. Quinn (or maybe Kwin? Her name wasn't on the business card) knocked out three cuts without going Bishops bowl cut on anyone. The guy in front of me said he didn't care what his hair looked like as long as it was short so he got the fast clipper treatment. I showed a little more concern so I got a little more time. I feel sorry for barbers, I'm pretty sure most guys have no idea what goes one when hair is cut nor how to describe what they want. But my hair is shorter, it took maybe fifteen minutes and cost $14. Hard to beat. I'll be back.

Only had the sides of my hair cut and was very pleased the lady took her time so she wouldn't miss a detail

Was hard to find but worth it. HINT: Look for the White "Barber Q" fold up sign in the middle of the sidewalk which points the way. Go through the doors, past the elevators and all the way to the back wall. It's on the right. I think the haircut I got here was probably the best I've ever received. The barber (a wonderful Vietnamese lady) took her time and paid attention to detail. Not one hair was out of place when she was finished. I highly recommend this place.

The haircut was not bad. But was it worth the $40 price tag??? It was a very simple haircut with no warm towel, no beard trim, no shampoo.

This tucked away place is probably the best value haircut in the downtown area. 18$ for dudes. Definitely a go-to if you're downtown often!

My husband says, "Convenient and reasonable. Excellent service!" I say, "I can't remember when his hair looked so good!"

Oscar gave me a terrible haircut. Uneven, strands hanging out, and just didn't listen to what I was…read moreasking for. I asked him to fix it after but didn't help. Would not recommend Oscar don't know about any of the other barbers from the shop.

I don't ever do this (write reviews) I think it's a cry for attention, like "Hey everyone, what I…read moresay means something!! You should listen to me" Unfortunately the whiskey is telling me two things #1 tell those ladies down there at that hair cut'n place just how awesome they are. -#2) YOU REALLY should go ahead and throat punch that obnoxiously adorable baby next door before it grows up and steals all your attention. So I'm gonna start with the one that won't get me banned from my favorite playground. Here goes. I am only here for two reasons. (Im Starting to see a numerical pattern) #1) Im lonely and need attention #2) I need people to understand how lucky we are to have certain people like LeeAndra and Amber Lynn walking among us. Real talk, individually they are both dynamic, intelligent, capable, articulate individuals. Where I come from we call them a "bottom bitch" (it's a term of endearment trust me) for those of you who don't know what that is.... Well, it's one of the highest compliments a hustler can give to a lady on the streets. It means they're trustworthy, honest capable, observant, tough most importantly they have your back when it matters. I can tell you that each of these queens are a gift I made an appointment before my first on screen appearance to have my beard tightened up. I randomly chose LeeAndra strictly due to our schedules aligning. I knew as soon as I walked into that shop (which was clean, lively and fun) that I was going to be well taken care of. LeeAndra actively listened to my wants and desires (she then in no uncertain terms told me I could leave if I was going to act like a dumbass making it clear she wouldn't do ANY of the things I asked for. But if I still wanted a beard trim she'd be willing) So I stayed (reluctantly) for the whole service. LeeAndra impressed me from the get. She was warm, knowledgeable and attentive in her own right. But I was REALLY impressed when Obi-wan (Amber Lynn ) started giving her (what I thought was unsolicited direction on how she (LeeAndra) should be doing her job) only to quickly realize the respect and appreciation they have for one another (At least when someone's around). Mind you, I have ZERO knowledge about either of these two queens or their personal lives, family, etc. however I do know what it feels like to be in the presence of fakes (whether it's humans, art, "pure Colombian flake" I mean c'mon pure uncut Colombian doesn't make you shit uncontrollably after each bump) I knew with every bit of my feelers that when I walked into that shop I was in the presence of some real ones. I immediately felt comfortable. Each time I leave there I feel recharged like someone made a huge deposit into my emotional bank account. Honestly, LeeAndra is a pleasure to share space with. I am grateful to have found Metro man but I would follow her anywhere. I think for the sole reason that we live in a world that is 98% shitty to woman a world that has consistently failed, brainwashed and degraded them because.....? Why? Because they can sometimes be irrational.? So can you dumbass. Or is it because (secretly) we know they're the superior more capable of the 2 genders? Or is it because our egos get their lil feelers hurt when we (men) acknowledge that the more intelligent, compassionate, capable and resilient of our species only need us to lift heavy things occasionally kill food and provide our seed so they can go ahead and create another human. I mean fuck me. I remember being SUPER impressed when Clark Kent (a fictional news reporter) would emerge from a telephone booth having been changed into another fictional character BUT with super powers. IMAGINE the leakage that occurs below my belt when I picture (in my mind) a real super hero emerging back into the world after MAKING a fucking human. Anyway. Long story short. I will no longer be seeking services anywhere else but MetroMan (Pearl district) I am going on record professing my undying love and loyalty to both LeeAndra AND her Obi-wan. They are both killing it as humans. If I could I would put them both in my breast pocket (close to my heart). Each of them make this crazy life a little more bearable. Oh yeah. I forgot. They can cut hair pretty good too 10/10 recommend Oh and to the guy that said the place was dirty. Wtf are you comparing it too? I mean sure, I wouldn't eat off the floor..... actually... maybe I would. I mean some of the most flavorful and enjoyable things I've ever eaten have Had the occasional hair in it. * Disclaimer * Other than statements made pertaining to the quality of services and the integrity of the individuals providing such services. None of the above statements are made for anything other then the enjoyment and entertainment of myself and "Maybe" some other delusional person who's REALLY committed to reading reviews. Be well -Lenny
