Think you can't afford an interior designer? Don't be so sure. My husband and I bought some…read morefurniture (impulse buy) less than 9 months ago and have been sorry from the day it arrived. Funny how fabric on a 6-inch swatch looks totally different on a large sofa. After many arguments and fruitless hours looking for just an area rug, we were left with only three options. 1. Divorce with a custody battle over who had to take the furniture. 2. Take up smoking so we could accidentally set the sofa on fire. 3. Hire an interior designer. The least costly of the three. We went with the latter, and it was the best decision we could have made. I found Suzanne on a Google search, not the preferred way to find a designer, but we lucked out. She is flexible and will provide as much or as little guidance in the design process as you would like, anything from just a consultation on paint color to actually shopping for and purchasing the furnishings, the route we chose. Suzanne is fast, too. Within a week of getting our painting completed, she had purchased and arranged for delivery of all of our new furnishings (she also used what we had already bought). We were not allowed to see the room until it was completed, just like on HGTV. I used to think the shocked look on the homeowner's face was well-rehearsed, but my husband and I could not believe it was the same room! And although we had the option to return anything we did not like, of about 30 items she chose for us, which included everything from furniture and accessories to lighting and artwork, we returned one piece. And this is from someone who thinks they need self-check return lines. She was always mindful of our budget, which was probably pathetic by Scottsdale standards, but you can't tell by the finished project (I have posted a couple photos). She also offers redesign services, using your existing stuff in new ways. As for the area rug, we love what she chose. Unfortunately, so do the two destruction machines that sneak out every night to claw it. We're hitting PetsMart this weekend for devices to scare the crap out of them, wait I don't need that on the rug either! I'm sure the puking on it will come sooner rather than later.

She was excellent from start to finish, offering excellent communication, fair pricing and always arriving on time for every single appointment. She also provided amazing referrals for the work that was done. At her recommendation the construction work was performed by M3 Remodeling, they provided outstanding work at a competitive price. Work done included removing a wall separating two rooms, converting the fire place into a very eye catching feature, new floors, full master bathroom transformation, furniture for the entire home, new artwork and more. I am completely thrilled to have worked with Suzanne, and would highly recommend an initial consultation with her to see if her services can be beneficial.

After learning about all the services they provide, my husband and I soon became very happy clients. We were able to experience almost every service that this amazing local business provides. People can't believe it when I tell them everything Diane and her team did for us, from remodeling a new house to selling our existing home. Here's what they accomplished in just a short time: - Referred us to a Licensed General Contractor who did the remodel on our new home - Served as Project Manager and Designer during the remodel - Provided us with furniture and artwork from their store and procured the rest from quality vendors - Provided lighting fixtures and fans - Found a wonderful workroom that built a beautiful custom banquette for our eat-in kitchen - Took care of all the furniture delivery and set up - Served as agent for the sale of our existing home, found several buyers, and sold our 35 year old home in less than a week! One of the services I really appreciated was the opportunity to try furniture from the store in my home before making the decision to buy it. Daniel and his crew would bring pieces over and set them up, giving us the opportunity to see how they look in the home before buying them. We did this with large furniture pieces and even artwork. If we weren't interested, Daniel would come back and load them up again, no questions asked. It was a wonderful way to figure out the traffic flow in our new home and avoid having any regrets about the purchases we made. As I mentioned, Diane also provides Real Estate services that will get your home sold FAST! She and her team are able to stage your home with furnishings, artwork and accessories from their store in a way that will bring you buyers! We really did have FUN (!) remodeling our new home and selling our existing home, thanks to Distinctive Interiors and Design. So happy that I just wandered into their store and met these wonderful people.

I specifically told the salesperson I needed a dark sofa because I have a black cat. When the sofa was delivered, it was noticeably lighter than the swatch used to sell it. When I raised the issue and provided a photo , Kreiss first said the swatch was positioned differently in the weave. After I provided more photos showing the same discrepancy from multiple angles, they said the difference was just "normal dye lot variation." The contract also contains extensive fine-print terms that appear to limit customer protections and discourage refusing delivery--none of which were explained during the purchase. When I tried to raise the issue and withheld the remaining balance to encourage a discussion, I was told I should have requested an "approval cutting" and was threatened with legal action and attorneys' fees. There were also delivery delays and poor communication despite my requests for advance notice. I ultimately paid the balance, but I'm now stuck with an expensive sofa that does not match the swatch used during the sale. Based on my experience, buyers should review Kreiss's contract terms very carefully before purchasing.
