I was reading Brittany B's review and it reminded me of this heavenly place. It really is the BEST gelato in the world. The chocolate orange is divine. It is potent chocolate with tons of candied orange peels in it. I could not get enough. I was stuffed and consuming more. This is by far the most flavorful gelato ever. The salted caramel is also heaven. I think about this place often. The hubby and I have eaten gelato all around Italy and France and this is the BEST!!! We have been on two month long European holidays where I consumed gelato at least 1-3 times a day. (I admit it.) This beats the place that won world's best for several years in that tiny city in Tuscany that I don't pronounce correctly. This gelato place is worth the horrific St. Tropez traffic getting both in and out, and the equally horrific parking situation where you wait in que for someone to leave before you can get your ticket to get in. Run don't walk as this is the best ice cream in the ENTIRE WORLD! The flavors are incredible, but my favorite is the speculoos and the kinder bueno. They are all made with organic cream. It's always crowded and there is nothing more delectable on a hot summer day. They have a few varities of cones available. I always order the waffle cone dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. It's definitely a little pricey but I promise you will not be disappointed! read more

Hot day in St Tropez required cooling off with some excellent ice cream. There were eight of us, each of us picking different flavors. I had a cherry flavor (Amorana) and a lime flavor. The cherry was very smooth and sweet. The lime was a bit too acidic for my taste, especially since that was the last flavor I was licking away in the hot sun. Everyone else was quite happy with theirs. Price wise a bit higher than I'd like but it is St Tropez. In comparison to a little ice cream shop in Moustiers St Marie, I would rate Barbarac lower as the way it was served in Moustiers was beautiful (flower petals made from pistachio and the core was passion fruit) and the tastes were more subtle. read more
