I had been part of other weddings where the photographer did not handle big groups well and I felt that Kelly's own ability to manage may have been a good indicator of his experience and expertise. Now, having gone through my own wedding with him as my photographer I was definitely not disappointed. Throughout our entire experience with Kelly we were impressed with his professionalism, attentiveness, but especially his friendliness. I feel like his photo style reflects a bit about what you can expect when you work with Kelly - relaxed and easy-going yet detailed and professional. His pictures are the perfect touch of candidness and in the moment yet beautifully composed. He gave really good instructions for us modelling newbies which was another concern of mine. But luckily, he knew how to explain poses well and how to direct us and the bridal party. Another thing that I loved about Kelly is that he was willing to take into account the bridal party suggestions and the personality of the bride and groom. I was part of a wedding where the photographer militarily stuck to their planned poses and rejected most suggestions from the bridal party. The photos did not capture the heart of the bride and groom or the bridal party. My friends were incredibly disappointed in that experience. So make sure you find a photographer that you jive with! I also highly recommend spending the extra to do a day-after or engagement shoot with him. We loved our day after pictures and he came up with such brilliant ideas for them. You get more time with Kelly in your respective wedding outfits so the poses and shots get to be more creative. It is wicked fun. Of course he is a bit on the medium-high price range for Edmonton wedding photographers. But for my husband and I that was one area we felt it was okay to spend extra on while cutting costs in other less important areas. The wedding day goes by so fast that many of our friends and family said photography is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning as they will be the ones capturing the memories. We now have photos that we love showing off and getting prints of.

Having wonderful photos was a top priority for me, and after booking the church and reception venue, our photographer was next on my list. Curtis' photos are exceptional, and I am so happy he was a part of our wedding. We did an engagement shoot with Curtis as well, which was a really fun way to get to know him, and also for my husband and I to get comfortable with having our photo taken. After doing a ton of research for maternity/newborn photography, I finally found Teagan photography…read moreonline. Her website was easy to navigate and There was a lot of options for picture packages. I chose the first years package with Teagan photography which included maternity/newborn/6 months and one year. That was definitly a great decision on my part. The maternity portion we first met with Allison the photographer in the river valley and she made you feel at ease. She gave us a little sneak peak on the camera and a facebook sneak peak shortly after. I was so excited with the pictures. The newborn pictures were done in our house and I was just blown away with how patient she was with our little girl who pooped and peed all over. Being a brand new mom she took away the stress and was very relaxed and just worked so well with us and the new baby. Again we loved our pictures and she was quick with all of the sneak peaks. We have had our 6 month session and I have just been blown away with the great pictures she has taken and how well they all work together. In a few months we will have our 1 year pictures but they will not be the last! In the end she will bind all the photos in a book and we will have an awesome keepsake of our little lady.
