I am fortunate to have a medical insurance plan that reimburses me for a percentage of certain appointments with Dr. Motyka but I did have to adjust my budget quite a bit to be able to afford to sign up. I feel like it is worth it because Dr. Motyka has saved me countless hours of researching health options and feeling confused about which treatment to pursue when I have various ailments. She has also provided us with many very useful and effective health tips which I had never heard of before. I had pneumonia or bronchitis prior to seeing Dr. Motyka. I knew I needed to do something differently with my health if I was going to be able to keep on working so I made a regular appointment with Dr. Motyka to get to know her before signing up for her concierge service. After I became part of her concierge service she recommended a regime of supplements and my first-ever probiotics and my health has been very strong ever since. I have really appreciated having Dr. Motyka for my children's health care as well and feel that she has helped me feel I am doing a better job now about giving them quality medical care. She also gives me advice when I ask for it such as regarding dietary advice and post menopausal issues. Thanks to Dr. Motyka I have been able to lose a few extra pounds and she has been very helpful with navigating my post-menopausal issues. It is also so nice to be able to call her office and get an appointment within a week - I can also call her directly on her cell phone to speak with her when I have a question and she usually answers the first time I call! If she isn't able to pick up she calls me back very quickly. The same goes for her office manager Charley. I also communicate with them via e-mail type messages in a medical portal. I like having one doctor who deals with all of my health issues (of course referring me to specialists as needed) and who sees me and treats me as a whole being and not just a foot, thyroid, shoulder, etc.(the functional medicine philosophy). Another reason I signed up for Dr. Motyka's concierge services was that I love her radio show "Ask Dr. Dawn". I really appreciate her science-based medical advice that she brings into down-home remedies that work! It feels to me like I am taking an on-going health class with the radio show being the lectures! As with any doctor, I need to come prepared with my questions and a summary of my needs and history since she can sometimes get mixed up about my history or my treatment. However, I really feel that she cares about me and my family and gives us personalized treatment.

The doctor came in and had a calm tone which made it easier to explain things. We talked about a few recent changes I've been feeling and they made a few notes while asking clarifying questions. They didn't seem in a rush and actually waited for my full answer before speaking again. They shared some insights and what might be affecting my situation. I liked that they didn't claim to have all the answers right away and left room for follow up. It was a solid experience and the people working there gave off a respectful attitude without being too formal.

Once when I went to see him, I had a very rough condition that would have cost me a great hardship just to get the prescription for it filled. But he had been hoarding free samples from pharma companies, just happened to have the one I needed, and he was able to give me 2/3 of the scrip at the office, no extra charge. It made the difference to spare me what could have been a few more days of misery, had I not had the partial scrip when I walked out of the office. For that one act alone, Dr. Tyler, you shall forever have a gold star by your name. He said his philosophy is that whatever corrective action we take to lose weight or lower my cholesterol has to be sustainable. But I felt it was worth sharing my nightmare experience with him. I had a PM Dr for years and really never made any appointments with Dr. Wasche because I found him to be a very difficult doctor to deal with. I would even make my appointments on his days off. Just to avoid him at any cost, I would normally see a PA for the small things that would make me even come in. I ended up having to go back to him do to the fact that my PM doctor was diagnosed with a brain tumor July 2018. So I was needing a doctor to help me through until I was able to establish myself with another PM doctor. I would spend days and countless hours seeking other doctors and found out how hard it was to find one. I've had chronic pain for years and numerous health issues, along with countless surgeries. I even had over 500 pages just from my PM doctor. Not to mention all my other doctors that had medical records regarding my health issues. I had offered my medical records countless times and he never once asked to see them. I could go on about him but I won't. I was needing a doctor to help me with the chronic pain issues and I had been refused my pain medication to help me with the pain countless times. He had me on something that was causing me to have severe side effects from. I even had to contact the FDA. Their comment was that my doctor needed to take me off of it immediately. Which he didn't, I called the California Medical State Board to file a complaint as well as PAMF to file a complaint on him. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. I can't believe that PAMF would have a doctor like him on staff. Zero compassion he would rather a patient suffer than help them. If you are a person with any chronic pain issues stay away from this doctor. Under his care I even thought about taking my own life do to the pain. He is useless and worthless. Also if you have had been on any type of opioids he will label you with a drug addiction. Heartless doctors stay away from them.
