Consome after adding onions and cilantro
    Brian V.

Bill Esparza brought me here. Seriously, I probably wouldn't have found this place if I didn't see it on one of his lists. Now that that's out of the way, this place has really freaking delicious tacos. The only other thing they have is the soup or consome. Everything is made from lamb. I've only been here once, but the young gentleman and the two ladies were super friendly. In terms of ambiance, I'm going to venture to say that this is probably the most authentic taco experience I've had in LA. More on that later. This being my first time, I didn't really know what to do. I came up to the area where they were cooking and that's where I ordered. They were super patient and friendly with me. One of the ladies actually let me try, as a sample, some of the barbacoa on a fresh tortilla. Delicious. I ended up ordering a medium soup/consome and one each of their barbacoa and pansita tacos. I then sat down at a communal table that they had set up right by the ordering area. The food came quickly and omigosh, everything was so good! Once I got the food, I dressed it up with the supplied onions and cilantro and lemons they had at the table. They also have two types of salsa. The meat and the soup had a great smoky flavor. The salsa had a nice cake, but it wasn't too spicy. And the tortillas were, as you would expect (because they're made right there), soft and fluffy. This is seriously probably the most authentic experience, or rather, one of the greatest taco experiences I've had in LA. I sat down with some fellow patrons as I was dining by myself, and I seriously felt at home. Just a great feeling. The parking is pretty plentiful as it is in a neighborhood. It is right across the street from a DMV so be careful because there are areas where the sign says parking is only for driving tests. According to Bill Esparza, Gonzalo Ramirez raised his own lambs. He roasts them in a pit with the drippings used to make the consome which you get the flavor from the put in this. The hours are a little tricky, because they are only open in the morning/early afternoon on the weekends. But honestly, it's a place I want to be during those times.

I went on Saturday, September 6 about 11am, and he wasn't there. Checked his Instagram, and there was no mention why.
