Great ambiance and service. The gimlet was excellent as was the pimento dip. Great little afternoon drink spot.

Place signs around outdoor seating area notifying guests to place drink orders at the bar. 2. Designate at least one person to take orders at tables indoors. This should be easy to track based on who has menus and who doesn't. 3. Set up an online ordering system and place QR codes on tables for easy ordering. Give option to place orders at right or left side of bar. My aunt, mother and I were ignored multiple times by multiple staff after we asked at bar if we should order there and were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Two other tables that came in after us were served. I then had to go up to the bar to ask to pay as no one came by again even after all our drinks were empty for at least 10 minutes. Again multiple staff walked by us multiple times. Hard not to read into the reasons we were ignored specifically when several groups were being tended to.

The massive mirror behind the bar makes you feel like you've stepped into a classic Western movie, adding to the unique charm of the space. Their signature Sage Margarita is a must-try. The bar is filled with the subtle aroma of burning sage, which creates a memorable experience before you even take your first sip. The cocktail itself was delicious and unlike anything I've had before. My personal favorite, however, was the Mezcal Paloma. Our bartender, TJ, crafted it to perfection. Watching him work was like watching a magician at his craft, every drink was made with skill, attention to detail, and genuine passion. Between the beautiful setting, creative cocktails, and exceptional service, Secreto is a place I would gladly return to on my next trip to Santa Fe.

The first time we came, we had a delicious cheese & charcuterie plate with all the fixins, including a spicy jam I asked to take to-go when we were done. Evan thoughtfully topped it off and put it in a small container. Wines were delicious--the hubs and I each ordered a flight, he a "refreshing whites" flight and I a mix n match situation (also whites, but with bubbly selections as well). The grandparents got their drinks by the glass and the kiddo was happy to have water and snacks. The ambiance is cool, both literally and figuratively....it was so pleasant to come in from the summer heat into this stylish and AC'd spot featuring local artists' work on the walls, and the hand soap in the bathroom also felt artisan and special. Individual hand towels to dry off hands after washing as well. The second time we came in it was just my husband and myself, and Evan gave us the royal treatment once again. There were other patrons and he graced every party with the same attentiveness and expertise. We each ordered a flight, and when Evan was knowledgeably explaining the wines we selected, it made me crave and decide to ask for a glass of bubbly. He went above and beyond to bring us a sampling of bubbles on the house! What?! Definitely will be back if we are ever in the area again and we highly recommend this place. Thank you, Evan, and Vara tasting room!

The moment you walk in, the atmosphere pulls you in--an almost mystical aesthetic with curated decor (think mounted skulls, vintage accents, and cozy lounge seating). This makes it perfect for a date night or a unique night out. The space is intentionally designed to feel immersive, and it works. I ordered a gin cocktail with a tajín-style rim and fresh cucumber garnish, and it was incredible. Crisp, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. Service matched the vibe--friendly and knowledgeable about what they're serving. It was easy to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. This is one of those places that feels like a hidden gem--unique, a little edgy, and far from your typical bar scene. Whether you're into craft cocktails, cool aesthetics, or just want somewhere different to hang out, this spot is 100% worth checking out.

Service from the bartender was thoughtful, knowledgeable, flexible, and engaging. My colleague initially wanted to taste one item based on another vendor's recommendation to visit this venue. A wise one! The bartender noted in the flight menu that the beverage in question could be added to the flight. Very nice of him, he didn't delete a flight to fit it in, either! Another colleague asked if she purchased, would the flight be free? Answer: yes! Two bottles, minimum. She loved them all, but selected three of the flights to purchase; two full bottles and one half bottle. (Business traveler/ International colleague with a travel liquor limit). Bottles were very well priced, and she'd can't wait to introduce them to colleagues in Taiwan! The decor and spacious area set a casual, respectful vibe which lends to a great venue for small groups, solo visitors, and couples on a date. There was a solo reading customer comfortably seated in a couch set up like a living room. There was a couple in another seating area and some friends at the bar. Didn't look much further in though. My colleague was very well pleased with her tastings and purchase, and I'm sure you'll receive the same great service from the bartender!

WOW. Wine here is AWESOMENESS!…read more Yelp friends ... Armando Rosales is the friendliest bartender I've met in a long while He's from Espanola so he's super down to Earth ! (Future manager I think) He let me sample some great wines 1) Signature Canyon Five ~ fruity. Unique 2) Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon ~ AMAZING ! I ordered number 2 to pair with my (incredible) FRENCH ONION SOUP If you have that on your menu I have to try it but this was truly exceptional ! Following that I had the New York Strip. Medium rare. GREAT but I did ask for a side of Green Chile. And Garlic Aioli for the potatoes Nicely cooked but I added some salt and chile to make it pop my taste buds. YES. I would order it again the same way The Pork Chop looked great as well Desert was also very good. Truffles and Port wine ...I love Port wine (Spicy chocolate truffles with lovely RED CHILE in them) I think I'd give these guys 6 stars of if I could because Armando was so cool toward me !

NEVER AGAIN! This place has so much potential but I should have never given them another chance. I…read morewas in town over a year ago with a friend and had great food here, but the service, as stated in my last review, was terrible. This time I was in town with my husband, we were excited to do some appetizers before heading out to a concert at Santa Fe Opera House. I should've known when we walked and the hostess looked less thrilled that we had arrived. Strike one. Once again we sat waiting for our drinks. When talking to our waiter I asked if they had a Lambrusco (red sparkling wine) and he had no idea what I was talking about, this is a wine bar people. I think the waiter should know about the wine. Either way when our drinks finally arrived, my husband's craft tap beer was about 2 inches short. Like it had been sitting on the counter for too long, or someone already drank out of it. Strike two. The same thing happened with his second beer, terrible pour. Either bring it out with head or fill the pint glass appropriately. For appetizers, we ordered the hummus and whipped feta with pita, the calamari, and a radish, arugula prosciutto salad. The calamari was ready and sitting on the counter under a heat light for 20 minutes before it was brought to us with our other appetizers. At this point it was soggy. I also had to ask for the dips that were advertised with the calamari. They then brought out the garlic aïoli, and then I had to again ask for the marinara sauce , as stated on the menu. The salad was all right, but was definitely lacking flavor, some balsamic would've helped it. The hummus and whipped feta was so terrible we had to send it back. The hummus was dried out and rockhard. We couldn't even dip into it. The whipped feta was separated from sitting in a fridge too long. It was milky with a hard clump in the middle. How this got served is beyond me, you could tell by looking at the milky feta and the dried out hummus that it was bad. The manager did come and take it back and it was taken off our check. That's all we ever saw of the manager again. When we were ready to leave, the waiter still had to take the feta and hummus off our ticket. Strike three. I just don't understand, the atmosphere is so beautiful, the space is really unique. They will not be getting my money again.
