Come hungry because the "all you can eat" family style dinner comes in about 15 courses plus dessert and wine. This is a real "Italian family" run operation. The owner, Evo is awesome. He welcomed us into his wine cellar where we chose a bottle of white wine. Since we didn't speak any Italian and he spoke no English it was quite entertaining when we went to pay him for the bottle. "Eight? Eighteen? Eighty?" We just held out our euros and trusted for him to be honest, and he was. It turns out we only paid $10 euro for a bottle of locally made white wine called "pigato". Dinner was amazing, wine was tasty but most importantly was the overall experience. If we ever come back to Italy we will certainly go here. If we don't make it back, at least evo will now be the most famous Italian chef in badalucco to ever be posted on social media! Ohhh one more thing, dinner is served late by american standards. The night we went was a Saturday and dinner started at 8 pm. It ended at 11! Dinner cost us about $60 euro for a couple, so roughly $70 usd. Pretty cheap compared to the USA !

The thing with alfresco dining in Europe, is that 99% of the time you will be among smokers. When you are a non-smoker and are trying to enjoy your meal, this can be really annoying. We arrived around 15:00 and the place was empty, so we had the outside area all to ourselves. For about 15 minutes. We, of course, were blessed by a chain smoker. No lie, she had a cigarette in her left hand and her fork in her right. And she would kindly turn her head and blow her smoke in our direction. I digress. Our server was super friendly and patient with my so-so Italian. They bring out a huge bread basket & olives to start. We each ordered the 20€ lunch menu. Pasta, dessert & wine. I had the Lasagna & my husband had the Trofie with pesto. The lasagna was delicious. It was served different than what we are used to, sort of cut up, but it was easier to eat this way. My husband's pasta was very good as well. For dessert we both ordered the house made Tiramisu which was absolutely delish as well. Then after we had inhaled our desserts, the came out with a plate of candies, truffles and yummy dark chocolate drops. We pretty much rolled ourselves out of there.
