Best cheesecake I have had in Chile! (It really deserves 5 exclamation points, but I don't want to…read morebe that girl...) They offer two different flavors of cheesecake one with fudge-like chocolate and the other with a berry topping. What makes this cheesecake really stand out from the others is the rich, creamy, filling (only attained by those who use quality ingredients and the right amount of cream cheese). Although I could go on forever about their cheesecake, they also offer both sweet and savory options. The owner and the other bakers use all natural and as many fresh ingredients as possible. The idea is to use the least amount of preservatives as possible. Pasteleria Sinfonia del Sabor boasts rich flavors, fresh ingredients and a unique style. They make all of their pastries and breads in house. Their store, although small, is filled top-to-bottom with different all natural delicacies that won't break the bank. The prices range from 1.450 for a slice of cake to 2.500 for a loaf of bread. I also recommend their carrot cake. It was moist, with spices and fresh carrot slices and manjar - perfect to accompany it with a hot cup of tea. The only down side is that the store, because of how small it is, is made more to pick up treats to-go than to enjoy them there. They only have one table with 2 chairs if you are lucky enough to find them unoccupied. Tip: They offer gluten-free options upon request. Most of their pastries has a vegan option, that is just as delicious (they either use vegetable oil, apple sauce or other natural ingredients to make up for the lack of buttermilk, eggs or milk) They also offer made to order pies, cakes among other things. I know where I will be getting my birthday cake next year!

The interior design is genuinely stunning. It feels intentional without feeling precious, and the whole space is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together. Even the dishware deserves its own round of applause. The plates and presentation are beautiful in a way that enhances the experience, not in a "look at me" way. The breakfast itself was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and comforting, with plenty of options that made our whole group happy. Service was also top notch: friendly, attentive, and professional, with great pacing that lets you actually relax and enjoy your morning. And the music was the perfect finishing touch. It was in English, totally appropriate for the vibe, and full of classic tunes that genuinely tickled the ears while we ate. It added to the atmosphere without ever overpowering the conversation, which is harder to pull off than people think. Also, can we talk about the theme? This place should give tours. The Alice in Wonderland touches are done so well that it feels like you've stepped into a whimsical little world, except in this version you get excellent coffee and a fantastic breakfast instead of a riddle and a threat from the Queen of Hearts. If you want a breakfast spot that feels special without trying too hard, Wonderland is absolutely worth it.

Outside of the check in, table service was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were fresh, fun, and delicious! I really enjoyed the raspberry juice and the teas came in such cute teapots. I tried one of their holiday specials as well, which was a fun and delicious grinch drink with cinnamon and chai. Food was very average, if not below average. My parents and I ordered the avocado toast, Alice's dress salad, and happy day. I would skip on the avocado toast, I thought the bread could have been toasted more (but the bowl of yogurt with chia seeds and jam that came with it was delicious) The salad had a lot of large lettuce pieces, but was fresh and didn't skimp out on the fruit or cheese. Happy day came with cute boxes but was really just a simple adult version of a happy meal. The highlight of the spot is of course the decor! We were seated in the 'Mad Hatter's Room', which was fun and quirky, but I'd prefer being seated in one of the higher floors if I were to go back. After we ate, we walked up a beautifully done staircase that led to a fun hallway of mirrors and then a gift shop, all of which had great photo opportunities.

Your best bet is to come on a weeknight, particularly now (during the troubles causing the social and political unrest throughout the country and particularly this area) and via taxi since the Baquedano metro stop is no longer in existence. A few months ago (before the troubles started), a group of friends and I tried to come here on a Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. Bad idea. There are no reservations and it is first-come, first-served. That was no problem for us because there are so many great restaurants and bars in this neighborhood, but fast-forward to last week when I had a friend from the U.S. visiting for her first time ever. She spent the daytime taking the funicular, touring the zoo, and taking a walking tour. Regrettably, I had not been on the Metro since early October 2019, before all the upheaval began, so I was very late in arriving to meet her thanks to the protests, riot police blocking the streets, and general mayhem just down the street from here. She didn't seem to mind--she found her way to the restaurant and snagged a great table (there really are no bad seats here, but the tables along the railing are the best for taking photos of the cityscape). Once I arrived (badly in need of a drink for all the traumas I just witnessed minutes earlier on my walk), I was absolutely stunned by the beauty, calm, and serenity of this spot. You would have no idea there was a quasi-civil war being fought just down the road. We sat and talked for hours over pisco, wine, and empanadas. I pointed out the various sights around us, including La Chascona, the home of Chilean poet laureate Pablo Neruda, which is named after his mistress-turned-wife, Matilde (hence, the name of the restaurant). Luckily, we came at the perfect time and caught the sunset, which was lovely. If you need to get away from the bustle of the city (or fiery, tear-gas-filled protests), this is the spot for you. It was therapeutic for me that evening and I'll definitely be back (via Uber, not the Metro).

I went here ignoring the rating because I specifically wanted a sunset view (and it did NOT disappoint). We ordered drinks, 2 starters and elected to share a main dish so that we could order 2 desserts. The cerviche was ok. I have only had better cerviche once in Santiago, but I was still disappointed that there wasn't more tang and the fish was a little fishy. The quinoa salad was good. Nicely presented with a delicious tangy dressing. Very fresh. I ordered 2 drinks, the first a piece pomelo tonic which even with the waiter's advice when ordering I still found too sweet. But he brought me an extra shot of lemon juice and I was really surprised how much I ended up loving this drink. Then I tried a Traditional Mojito made with Flor De Caña 4 rum (because I love rum). I ordered this to be much less sweet than the standard, but it still arrived a bit sweet for me. Nicely presented- I love dried citrus as garnish that's all the rage now! Main dish: sesame encrusted barely seared tuna. If I hadn't eaten so much truly fresh tuna,(diluted in front of me) I could have mistaken this for fresh tuna. Quite nice. And then dessert... actually the desert blew me away. I've been to some very "fancy" restaurants in this past 2 weeks in Argentina & Chile but this was my favourite dessert: quinoa tres leches. It was phenomenal! And gluten free! Like the whole rest of the menu you may have noticed. The second dessert I personally didn't care for but found it interesting and different, and my friend that ordered it absolute loved it. Raves about it. It was a cream made of fruit I hadn't heard of and have unfortunately forgotten with meringue and fresh mandarins. There was even a raw vegan option! (Which I didn't try). Very easy to back gate this menu if you're gluten free or dairy free or have other eating difficulties. I highly rate this place, and the view just sets it over the top.did I mention that I loved the desserts and considered ordering more? They didn't look the part, but they really delivered.

It is one of the only small shops that has things like organic quinoa, maki, coconut oil, and lots of all natural cosmetics. They also have coconut water, all natural yogurts, and a wide assortment of healthy snacks. Punto Saludable reminds me a lot of all the health food stores I miss back home. The only downside is that it is super super super expensive. It is great if you go in once or twice a month to stock up on quinoa or other things for your pantry, but watch out cause it is really easy to go overboard and over your budget. However it is small and locally owned so at least you can feel good about buying sustainably and supporting the community.

Although there are a couple of other organic/veggie stores close by Punto Saludable differentiates themselves by packing their small store with more than the average organic nuts, tofu and fruit selection of many. They offer gluten/dairy/soy free rice pasta, as well as lasagna sheets ($3590 CLP for a large box). They also sell gluten free rice and flax bread! They have 2 kinds fresh tofu, huevos de campo/free range eggs and sell all natural Pucara (local Chilean farm) yogurt for 2.000 per liter (seriously cheap!), along with pajaritos (the mother) to make your own yogurt at home. They also have natural food grade oils such as the all-purpose coconut oil. They also sell unsweetened (boxed) almond milk for 3 mil/liter. The best part is, from what I've seen, they are about half the price of other health food stores like Planta Maestra. The owners are super nice and friendly and will help you with answering questions and finding what you need. They even have a suggestion book for things they should carry!

When my mom was visiting, I wanted to make sure I had everything for her to make her feel at home so I went to Planta Maestra and picked up her favorite brand of Almond milk and although it was a bit more expensive than in the states (it cost 4 mil) I was very happy to know I had the option of getting it here. Planta Maestra has a couple of other stores in Santiago, but I have seen this one in Bellas Artes, although smaller, has better prices (however, in general, the majority of what they sell is on the expensive side). They also have dried cranberries that are sugar and preservative free! The products they sell are from the same well-known organic and vegan brands you can find in the states. Planta Maestra also sells beauty products and stuff to make baby food! If you are looking for essential oils to make your own lotions or shampoos you can find them here - including tea tree oil. If you need any types of teas, yogurt, coconut water, almond flour etc they have it. They also sell tasty desserts and cookies that are vegan and gluten free! Everything here is delicious. They also have a frozen section with tofu and other snacks. Overall, a small organic and vegan shop to get even the most difficult to find products to make a healthy lifestyle easy in this polluted city.
