Every year I plan out a stateside road-trip. If you haven't visited Maine, you should put this state on your stateside bucket list! We visited Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park in July 2024. Make sure you see my review of the park. There is so much to do and see in this area. The weather was perfect! Visit the lighthouses, visit the National Park, waterfalls, see sand beach, rent a bike, hike all the trails, eat alot of yummy lobster. We loved visiting Bar Harbor, Acadia National Patk is so big that I know we missed half of it (you need at least a week to hike thru half of it and several days to visit all of its spots), we went to Lubec, wharf's oldest village in MDI (down east), Jonesboro to see the flags of USA, Ellsworth. Must do's: Lubec and the hiking around the lighthouse. Acadia National park - hiking, the thunder hole, otter creek, Jordan pond. Cadillac mountain but unfortunately when we went it was so foggy we didn't get much of a view but netherless the hike was amazing. ***bring warm clothes even in the summer. It gets chilly here especially hiking or visiting near the water. Bring rain gear. It rains quite often. I had to go out and buy a few items bc I was cold and stuff here tends to be on the $$$$$ side. Otherwise it's amazing, pure air. Everyone is pleasant and super friendly. read more
