The space is pleasant enough and the cocktails are pretty good; the choice of beer is a bit more limited but overall it's a safe bet if you fancy a drink in this area. I haven't eaten here but they also offer a bistro menu. I'd like to give it a fourth star but my sensation is that it is so similar to other bars in Rome, it's lacking that touch of individuality which makes you want to really tell all your friends to go there. It's just fine for a date or a drink with friends, so for now, it stays at three stars.

She offered to have the kitchen make an assortment of offerings for us, due to the time constraints. The tagliere (meat cheese and bread on a board) was quite tasty, but the two meat offerings were cut a bit thick, and difficult to bit through, and the cheese fairly tasteless and dry. The potatoes cacio e pepe was pretty good, but we found the veggie burger to have a weird texture, and not much flavour. The brie in pasta kataifi was enjoyed by the lovely K. To be fair we didn't pick the items that we got, other than the potatoes which felt didn't really work. I am not a veggie burger kind of guy typically so my review should be taken with that in mind. The interior of the restaurant is brightly coloured and the tea pot lights over the bar are fantastic. Had I enjoyed the food a 4 star rating would be more fitting, but it wasn't really my choice of.....

Their latte is outstanding and they have many choices of croissants - I had both the pistachio and chocolate filled. Cute outdoor seating and also a little green space patio with stringy lights. Very close to the tram, heck the shop itself is a tram. I had no problems paying with credit card and the nice people bring out my order as I sit in their swinging bench. The sister district of Testaccio in many ways, it's a traditional "quartiere populare" with stunning original architecture and plenty of unexplored spaces. Latteria Garbatella is fashioned from a old milk vending station, and the spacious interior is matched by an outstanding paved garden, which is just coming into its own with the warm weather. The cocktails are good, and the barstaff inventive: twice they have come up with original versions of my favourite tipple, the Negroni; one with a vermouth marinated with cloves and another called a White Negroni, with white vermouth and Biancosarti. They aren't incredibly alcoholic but sometimes that's a plus. The aperitivo consists of crudités with dipping oil and small dishes of couscous. I haven't tried the food yet, so who knows, maybe I'll be awarding that 5th star soon!

This place is as hipster as hipster goes in Rome, from location, to wooden and leathery miss matched forniture, to bearded waiters, yet the staff is incredibly nice and attentive, the atmosphere truly relaxed and cocktails are good without trying too hard. The deal was to receive my drink and a food sampler for 8 Euros. I thought I had misunderstood them at first because only one person in the restaurant spoke English, and was really sure that this was the case as they continued to bring sample after sample to my table. The food was a 3 to 4 out of 5 and they poured the Guinness somewhat incorrectly (tilted the nozzle down instead of away to top it off; that's a no-no), but the Mojito my wife had was the best she ever tasted and the whole thing was, in fact, only 8 Euros. Considering that a drink on it's own is generally 8 Euros, to have that drink made well and be accompanied by a bunch of good food for 8 Euros is a total steal. It's by no means traditional Italian food, but I'm not going to turn my nose up to a good deal and tasty treats.

The bartenders are amazing and extremely friendly! One of them even gave us each a shot of sangria for free simply being here! My gf doesn't drink however the bartender made her a giant Shirley. She also asked for a cappuccino and although she didn't want it anymore, he came over with a cappuccino cup filled with peanuts to eat while we drank. A gracious host/bar owner Ansel is!
