When I first moved to Lyon, I lived right around the corner from Chez GG's takeout boutique near…read moreSt. Paul (I think they've since closed up shop at the storefront). I loved the burgers, loved the fries, loved the people. I always got the bacon burger, because that's how I roll, and it was YUM. The fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Their sauces were made in-house (I liked the mayo better than the ketchup).
I was always met with a warm welcome, and after only one visit, they still remembered who I was when I went in a second time weeks later. When I moved up to Croix-Rousse, I was burger deprived - the food truck didn't stop nearby, and St. Paul was a long trek down the hill. When I finally came back down the hill one day to satiate my burger craving, the boutique was closed *tear*
So it's been awhile, because no matter where the truck was parked, it always seemed to be far away! However, it seems they're not far from my new job at least one day a week = I'll have to give them another try and see if they've held up the original standards of deliciousness.
En gros: Burger delicieux. Plus de boutique à Saint Paul?!
