This was our first visit to 8 Oz Burger while passing through on our way back to Texas…read more We were seated right next to another group, practically back-to-back, even though there was plenty of open seating. Not sure why customers need to be seated that close together. Our waitress arrived about three minutes later and took our drink order. Drinks came out in about five minutes. She then said she'd "be right back," but it took another ten minutes before she returned to take our food order. We ordered nachos as an appetizer along with wings and burger and fries. The appetizer took about ten minutes, and when it arrived, the waitress apologized that the rest of our food wasn't ready yet. That comment didn't make much sense because appetizers aren't supposed to come out with the main course. It actually seemed like she had been holding the nachos until the entrées were almost ready because they weren't as hot as they should have been. Less than five minutes later, our burger and fries arrived. Nachos are a . Burger and fries cook that made my burger use the ends of an onion for my burger. That was not good. Must use the center of an onion and cut it to where they are nice big rings at least 2 or 3 rings of onion. Pickles the same. See the pictures. You'll see what I'm talking about. Wings and fries where awesomely crispy . The restaurant had three servers on the floor, but after our food was delivered, our waitress disappeared. It was close to 30 minutes before we saw her again. She apologized and said she had been busy with back-of-the-house duties. By then we were finished eating, so we asked for the check and a soda to go since I never received a refill. The food was the highlight. Except the nachos. Tasted like something I can do myself at home. The wings were excellent, and the burger and fries were very good. Unfortunately, the customer service and cleanliness took away from the experience. Our table felt sticky, the floor around us was dirty, and service was slow and inattentive throughout the meal. Food: 4/5 Customer Service: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5 Would I stop again? For the burger, fries, and wings, yes. But the service and cleanliness need significant improvement before I'd consider it a great dining experience.

When I asked for a recommendation, choosing one latte or another, she asked a coworker what they'd recommend which is what helped me decide. I got the iced wedding cake latte and rhino burrito, and both were phenomenal. Dare I say, the burrito is one of the best I've ever had. To top it all off, this place had the chill vibe I needed to soak in before hitting the road for 4 hours. They play music, but it's not super loud, so it's easy to get work done here if needed. I'll definitely be back next time I'm around!

I ate here for lunch thinking Smokey's Joes was opened on Monday from 5-9pm. Had an overpriced and dried croissant chicken sandwich that was not good. It needed mayo for sure and tomato and the lettuce was very tiny piece placed on the bottom. I guess I am too spoiled at Buc-ee's. Once I found out Smokey Joe's was closed on Monday, I came here to use my $35 dollar food credit. Here is what I ordered for the $35 1. Caesar Salad 2. Pecan Bar 3. Bag of Chips 4. Frito Pie 5. Texas Chili 6. Gumbo But the bad/good news is the food is all premade so you get your food ASAP. The bad news is it does not tastes good as you like it. I finally got to try most of everything. The gumbo was good with the frito pie. Texas chili was good too. Soup can not go wrong. The salad was good too. I wish they had more restaurants opened during the weekdays like at Bally's.

I hate to lower a star but too many things go wrong here now…read more If you look at the business managers reply to not being able to order certain things through the drive thru, he said you can order everything on the menu through the drive thru. That's what I would think too but it's not true. We went again today and asked for fries as a side. She wouldn't do it. She said to get fries we have to come inside. So if you can actually order everything on the menu through the drive thru apparently the employees don't know that and need to be told. I ordered the pork tenderloin today and this is now the third time we got home, took the first bite, and it was so full of black pepper that it was completely inedible. It went straight into the trash and was a complete waste of money. Once, maybe twice, I could understand an off day. But this is now the third time there has been WAY too much pepper in the pork tenderloin. Does no one taste this before it's sold? Whoever is making it is putting way too much black pepper in it. When this place is good, it's really good. Unfortunately, the quality control is nowhere to be found so you never know if it's going to be a good day or a bad one. Add to that you STILL can't order everything on the menu through the drive thru regardless of what the manager claims and it went from 3 down to 2 stars.
