Stopped for one night and it was perfect, contactless check in they gave me the code and I was able to get in to my room with no problem, room was clean halls were clean and the continental breakfast was okay but at least they had one! I emailed them politely explaining my concerns and how they can make this hotel better. After several days of no response, the internet can hear it. TLDR: Between TikTok and Instagram, I was catfished. The best parts were picked and posted to social media. What was missing on social media was the giant construction zone, holes in the walls of the pool area, huge slide pieces littering the property, dusty/outdated decor, poorly placed sections of old couches disguised as a seating area in the hall, and hotel staff meetings occurring in the lobby during operating hours and doing my own housekeeping. This place has a great gym. I was very impressed my first day. The kids were so excited to be there. The room was as expected, check in was easy, the staff was great. The grills outside cooked an amazing steak. The kids loved the pool. That's where the good ends. I had to ask for towels every day of our visit, sometimes multiple times. Because as a family of 5, they expected us to use one towel the entire 5 days and would only give me 2-3 towels every time I asked. I resorted to washing towels myself. They have a giant towel room, not sure where those towels ended up. They don't do any type of room refresh. We had a suite and took out our own trash. Didn't have enough trash bags, ran out of toilet paper twice. Not as secure as you would think. The back courtyard has an external entrance where anyone can enter. The keypads to the doors are broken and people have to prop open the locked door to get in. Anyone can come and go. Speaking of the courtyard, it had one dining style table to seat six. It's summer and there was one table?!? Which was covered in pollen and dirt. Signage around the hotel was terrible. They have brown signs that have words scrapped off and don't give accurate directions and paper signs that are far from elevators and staircases. No map of the hotel anywhere. The gym area went unkept. One day I picked up a disposable water bottle and shirt, another a used towel was left, another the reusable cleaning towels were out, and the black body towels eventually got emptied. It was not maintained each day. Although your staff were polite, it was clear there wasn't enough. On Sunday, your front desk person was also the bartender. Disappearing to manage both. The bar didn't have a drink menu and didn't have any signature drinks that were advertised in their elevator or Instagram. We visited the bar just once. The old waterpark area is a construction zone and has been that way for over a year. The outside is littered with the skeletal remains of said waterpark. I never saw any work being done to that area while I was there. The hotel staff meetings in the lobby were the icing on the cake. Why in the lobby? To watch your front desk people? Watch guests come and go? It certainly wasn't to interact with your paying customers. When I asked the front desk for an email to provide feedback, the lady that held several meetings, glared over to me and practically whispered a partial email address to her employee. She never asked for my feedback or asked how my stay was. No one did. I guarantee that email address was a random unattended box she had no intention of reviewing. Chief makes the most wonderful food! The staff is absolutely amazing and the place is always clean and welcoming!

I was looking for a place to stay last night and found Bantr on a hotel app. Photos on their site looked good enough and it seemed like a unique hotel. Also, I was happy with the price, and after a night's stay, I can say it was a great value! Theme of the hotel seems to be northern log cabin, and there is an indoor water park, but it was closed for remodel and repairs. I stayed in a King Studio, which was very spacious. Bantr leases rooms for long-term stays up to a year, so the rooms have amenities that a person would need to live, including and electric counter top "stove" with pots and pans. My room was very clean and everything worked. Only small issue was a very slow drain in my tub, so while showering, I stood in my used water. I let them know when I checked out, so they could fix for the next guest. I was happy with my stay and the friendly staff I interacted with. read more

we stayed here a couple years ago and we were so exited to come back. it was awful. we will never come back. Called the front desk probably 20 times over 2 day before they answered. had no toilet paper, dish soap, wash rags, or hand towels. when the front desk did answer they said we had to come down to get whatever we needed. they are so understaffed and don't care. do not stay here!!! read more

I don't even know where to start.... 1) was given a room the didn't have a working keypad (even though they knew it was malfunctioning and had maintenance trying to fix it earlier in the day. The room should have been taken out of service) 2) I asked for a different room but was told they were sold out and the only option was to go to the front desk to be let into my room each time. 3) however, the hotel was still selling rooms online for that night. 4) magically a room was found for me after I complained again, but it would take hours to have it ready 5) I booked a two queen room, but the replacement room was one queen and a pull out bed that was nasty, didn't have adequate bedding and had dead bugs in it. We had to take bedding from the original room to clean and re-make the pull out bed for my daughter. 6) the "pool" is a construction zone, with one tiny pool and hot tub that could be found behind plywood walls 8) half of the tv channels didn't work and there was a big green bar going through the screen of the tv. 7) even though it was advertised, there was no breakfast available in the morning 8) a neighboring guest found housekeeping smoking pot in their room. 9) food was not available in the restaurant on a Thursday night because it was "too slow" to have the cook come in to work that night. It amazes me that that hotel is open for business. It seems like they just opened last week, which would make this somewhat excusable, but it's apparently been a few years?? It's disgusting, I want my money back and I'll never return. read more

Just got out of our lease and couldn't get out fast enough. This place is all smiles until you have a problem and then all excuses. The Property Manager in Stevens Point must be related to the company CEO as she is beyond worthless--busy, busy--excuses, excuses, not on site, etc. If competence was food, she'd be starving!! read more

Bantr was a great option for our ski trip this past weekend in Wausau. We skiied on Friday and Saturday at Granite Peak. It was only a 10 minute ride, which was very convenient. We stayed in a "Queen Studio" room that had 2 queen sized beds and a pull out couch bed. The room was surprisingly spacious and could easily fit 6 people if need be. The hotel itself was great- there was a pool & a hot tub (waterpark is closed). The hot tub was also open to adults only from 10-12. While there was free breakfast- we opted to not have it. One gripe we did have was that the bathroom was noticeably not clean upon arrival. We called the front desk and they sent someone up right away to clean it and give us fresh towels. They do not currently clean rooms every night...unless you are there for 3+ nights. Overall, our stay was perfect for what we were looking for, and we will most likely stay again! read more

Thought about trying a new hotel while we were in the area skiing. Decided to try Bantr for the large pool and hot tub that could entertain the kids. We arrived and were excited by the looks of the hotel. But ended up thoroughly disappointed. The large pool was under construction, the restaurant was closed and very few luggage carts available. But we carried on only to find that two tv's in the rooms didn't work, the continental breakfast was pathetic and the heat in the room fluctuated so much it was uncomfortable.
