Recently stayed at this hotel for a weeklong trip…read more *Staff was professional and courteous and the front desk attendants were able to communicate in English which I appreciated. *The lobby was always clean, bright, modern, and smelled great! Check in and checkout was smooth, and I got the hard copy invoice with no issues. *Room with 2 queen beds had modern décor. One bed mattress was soft and the other firm and the pillows were very firm and lofty (too firm for me but that's a personal preference) *Great blackout window curtains that went from ceiling to floor. *Desk with decently comfortable office chair allowed me to work. *Appreciated the bedside table with multiple outlets for standard plugs (Mexico outlets use the same standard plug as the U.S) and USB devices. I usually have to bring a travel power strip because hotels never have enough outlets but the bedside table had enough for multiple devices I needed to charge. *WIFI speed was good for working on my laptop *AC worked well; the unit was on the ceiling with fins that were adjustable/directional. *Small in room refrigerator was not working but they promptly switched it out when I asked. I appreciated this so I could store convenience items like breakfast and milk. *There was a sewer smell in the bathroom, which they promptly resolved as well. Turns out, the shower drain was the culprit. Maintenance fixed it in 5 minutes. No tub, but the shower was a good size with good water pressure. *Coffee maker is a small single serve machine which takes a small filter for grounds to brew. Not useful for me at all but I travel with an electric kettle so I can make my own coffee. *Hotel felt secure. They had security personnel out front always and the elevator required your room key to get to your desired floor. *You enter the hotel from the street level entrance, then take an elevator to the lobby Great view from this room on the 10th floor of the city and mountains. *The pool was directly on top of this room which wasn't bothersome for the most part except when there was a party and you could hear the speakers. But the city itself is busy with the usual noise like cars, honking, motorcycles, etc. *Located adjacent to the Punto Valle Town Center. It's an upscale shopping mall so the grounds are well landscaped and maintained and there was always security present. There was also a Bank at this mall in case you need access to an ATM. *Just 3-minute walk to Super Mode (a small grocery store/market) great for things like breakfast, snacks, produce, and water. 3 minutes to OXXO convenience store and Farmacias Benevides (pharmacy) *Easy to get Uber and Ubereats from this hotel but the parking attendant will order taxis if needed *Cleaning staff were professional and respectful *Gym had ample equipment, treadmill, and some weights. Required key card to access. *Power went out one day for an hour. They had backup generators for main lighting, but no AC, hot water, or WIFI during this short outage. *The top floor with pool had a nice view of the mountains and city. Great for photos. During the weekday it was pretty quiet, so I even took my laptop to the top floor and worked from there. *Didn't try the on site restaurant but the décor looked nice and the staff appeared attentive and friendly. Even with the small maintenance issues, this stay was pleasant. With high traffic hotels, it's expected to have issues that need to be tended to. Guests probably did not report the issues I encountered but as soon as I did, maintenance resolved them for me. All staff I encountered were professional and respectful and I appreciated that staff cared about the hotel's upkeep. I even saw staff cleaning the corridor walls! Great stay for this recent business trip to Monterrey.

The rooftop pool offers shade and beautiful views of the city. The gym has basic equipment to fulfill minimal training needs. The location is great, attached to a shopping mall with lots of bars and restaurants.

I loved the little security cover on the peep hole and the fact that personnel were nearly always present in the hallways. My room was on the first floor and quiet as could be. I had wonderful sleeping here on the comfortable king sized mattress. I also had a small couch which was terrific for reading. The room was completely and immaculately clean. The bathroom was very modern and impeccable. All of the staff were super friendly. The gentlemen at the front desk would let me speak Spanish even though we all knew their English was superb. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, nice variety and also clean as a whistle. I used the pool each night and by that time it did need to be skimmed otherwise it was decent. It does have construction right next to it and the refurbishing of this hotel has not been completed on the walls which surround it. In the hallways there were the new, modern tiles and then there were areas with the seen better days carpets. There were state of the art doors and others which badly needed to be replaced. Once the construction has been completed, I would love to revisit and give it 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again, it was a most enjoyable experience.

After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me. I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients. I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings. Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings. There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows. My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.
