I get by just fine with my translator app. What a rude thing to say to someone who is trying to book a fricken room there.

This is a nice clean hotel. Yet the power went out twice while I was there doing business. I asked…read morethe manager Patricia Ramos if they had a backup generator for such problems. She said no and she did not seem to care. In the morning I checked out and spoke to Silvia Perez again explaining my problem. Crowne Plaza Hotel Monterrey Aeropuerto
Review This review…read moreis specifically about the room conditions. The hotel itself is just ok. However, the rooms are by far in the worst conditions I've ever experienced. As you can see in the photos: the walls are filthy, there is dirt/mold in the shower & the shower head, the curtain rod rings are completely rusted, the shower liner is dirty, the air vents are dirty, the AC makes a banging noise every so often and everything just felt dirty. I never felt clean inside of our room unfortunately. It is clear that this hotel is very out dated. These rooms do not need to be rented out until all of them are completely renovated, especially at the given rate. This is absolutely NOT a 4 star hotel. This review is not a reflection to the desk, housekeeping, dining staff. They can only do what they can with what they have I assume. However, ownership is clearly getting over on people renting here. I would not recommend staying here nor will I ever come back. I am open to speaking to someone regarding a refund because of these poor conditions

The elevators are a bit small so if you're going up with a lot of luggage you might have to make several trips. The pool and gym were both adequate and the parking lot has a controlled entrance/exit. Breakfast in the morning was very good and there was a choice between Mexican and American style choices. Overall a very good stay.

I recently went to Monterrey, Mexico by myself. I was visiting my daughter who teaches there but I…read morestayed in the hotel alone. First and foremost, I felt secure every moment I was there. I loved the little security cover on the peep hole and the fact that personnel were nearly always present in the hallways. My room was on the first floor and quiet as could be. I had wonderful sleeping here on the comfortable king sized mattress. I also had a small couch which was terrific for reading. The room was completely and immaculately clean. The bathroom was very modern and impeccable. All of the staff were super friendly. The gentlemen at the front desk would let me speak Spanish even though we all knew their English was superb. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, nice variety and also clean as a whistle. I used the pool each night and by that time it did need to be skimmed otherwise it was decent. It does have construction right next to it and the refurbishing of this hotel has not been completed on the walls which surround it. In the hallways there were the new, modern tiles and then there were areas with the seen better days carpets. There were state of the art doors and others which badly needed to be replaced. Once the construction has been completed, I would love to revisit and give it 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again, it was a most enjoyable experience.
As far as Hampton Inns go this has to be one of my favorites. Of course, in most of the developed…read morecities in Mexico they usually step up the game at least one or two steps as compared to the US because the operators and employees actually care about their jobs and livelihood. The staff all spoke and read English and Spanish seamlessly, and were very courteous and helpful. The rooms are much nicer than most I stay in while in the US, and even had touch screen thermostats that actually work! I was able to make it fold and adjust the fan which is nice because I'm always hot. There's no microwave in the room, however they do have a nicely sized mini fridge, and serve a very good breakfast for a change (all my favorite breakfast are in Mexico, especially Guadalajara or almost Mexico- El Paso). This hotel is close to the airport, and they even have good coffee to go to brighten your day. I'd say add some barbacoa and some stevia for the coffee along with stay points for crew and this would be a five star kind of place.
