Review This review…read moreis specifically about the room conditions. The hotel itself is just ok. However, the rooms are by far in the worst conditions I've ever experienced. As you can see in the photos: the walls are filthy, there is dirt/mold in the shower & the shower head, the curtain rod rings are completely rusted, the shower liner is dirty, the air vents are dirty, the AC makes a banging noise every so often and everything just felt dirty. I never felt clean inside of our room unfortunately. It is clear that this hotel is very out dated. These rooms do not need to be rented out until all of them are completely renovated, especially at the given rate. This is absolutely NOT a 4 star hotel. This review is not a reflection to the desk, housekeeping, dining staff. They can only do what they can with what they have I assume. However, ownership is clearly getting over on people renting here. I would not recommend staying here nor will I ever come back. I am open to speaking to someone regarding a refund because of these poor conditions

I loved the little security cover on the peep hole and the fact that personnel were nearly always present in the hallways. My room was on the first floor and quiet as could be. I had wonderful sleeping here on the comfortable king sized mattress. I also had a small couch which was terrific for reading. The room was completely and immaculately clean. The bathroom was very modern and impeccable. All of the staff were super friendly. The gentlemen at the front desk would let me speak Spanish even though we all knew their English was superb. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, nice variety and also clean as a whistle. I used the pool each night and by that time it did need to be skimmed otherwise it was decent. It does have construction right next to it and the refurbishing of this hotel has not been completed on the walls which surround it. In the hallways there were the new, modern tiles and then there were areas with the seen better days carpets. There were state of the art doors and others which badly needed to be replaced. Once the construction has been completed, I would love to revisit and give it 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again, it was a most enjoyable experience.

It isn't the fanciest or newest hotel I've experienced. But the positive level of personalized attention and service from the staff at the front desk, the restaurant, and the room cleaners is really appreciated. THE FOOD: Wherever I travel I always enjoy trying new foods. The staff at Holiday Inn near the university always help me explore the menu as well as put together special dishes for me to try. LIFELONG STUDENT: I enjoy learning something new all the time. As I speak a little Spanish, my trips to Mexico give me an opportunity to learn it better and better. The staff at Holiday Inn near the university always help me learn more while I stay here. By the 3rd or 4th day, my memory is refreshed and we're doing pretty well communicating more and more in Spanish. It makes the stay more enjoyable and I feel like I've learned more Spanish in a convenient, non-stressful way. Because we can always kick back over into English if I blank out on a Spanish phrase or word. SUM UP: If you're interested in seeing and feeling the friendly, personalized culture of Mexico, you might not seek it out at a Holiday Inn. But you'd be wrong if you missed out on this place. It's professional, friendly, helpful staff make the place really special. Give it a try.

After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me. I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients. I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings. Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings. There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows. My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.

AC Hotel Monterrey Valle is located in the tony suburb of San Pedro Garza García in the Monterrey,…read moreMexico metropolitan area. The hotel is stylishly decorated and in a prime location, with a hospital, urgent care facility, pharmacy, 7-Eleven, and a premier commercial district (Plaza Comercial Distrito Armida) all within a block of the hotel. I stayed at the property during the 2024 winter holidays, and, once again, AC Hotels delivered the total package that I've come to expect from their brand: #1. Location: I usually prefer to venture far from my hotel when traveling, but I absolutely loved the vibe in this area. With an abundance of young professionals and multigenerational families frequenting the commercial district, the neighborhood felt hip & cosmopolitan and lacked the stuffiness & eye-rolling I experienced in a more exclusive and insular part of San Pedro Garza García. #2. Comfort: On my last trip to Mexico, I stayed in a property in Mexico City (Centro Historico) where English language programming wasn't available on the TV in my hotel room. I received subpar service from a restaurant on the property. I could also hear street noise in my hotel room despite being on a high floor. My experience at the AC Hotel Monterrey Valle was a complete 180. I arrived around midnight and immediately started watching a series on Netflix that I started earlier that day in Las Vegas. Service was consistently great. The property also offered a spa-quality experience that included serene mountain views, plush bedding, an overall quiet environment, and modern conveniences right at my doorstep. #3. Quality: Building on the concept of living within your means, I subscribe to the belief that a hotel should at a bare minimum offer similar amenities and be as nice as the place where you live. I felt right at home at AC Hotel Monterrey Valle!
