Like a portal to Narnia this little rail-less concrete bridge runs over a beautiful creek and connects two different worlds. We arrived at the Honeycomb Heroes cottage shop. It was a cute "sometimes cottage core" "sometimes hunting retreat" one room honey and associated product boutique shop. We rang the "Ring" doorbell to summon our "Honey Guide". He quickly retrieved our honey selection from a temperature controlled setting. (It was still warm). Don't be fooled by this rustic feel the transaction was professional, quick and conveniently they are equip to take an array of payment options. We paid cash though. With over 900 hives on site this is a great place to find VA local collected honey. We happily took our locally collected honey home to sweeten our tea and calm our Virginia allergies. The product is delicious and the price was the going rate. Highly recommend.

The owner personally worked with me to get the order placed and all gift baskets were delivered the first week of January. The baskets were gorgeous and the food and wine carefully selected. Many unique treasures to discover in the greenhouse, outer statuary, and inside the novelty store. Major standouts are the Corinthian chimes which are enormous and sound just like church bells. The proprietor reminded me a lot of my late/great father and it was comforting to hear him talk about plants and windchimes (two of my Dad's favorite things in life). My husband and I were looking for a few potted plants today and are thrilled with our finds. My kitchen window sill, living groom piano corner, and little outdoor flower bed all got an upgrade today. (See pics of what we brought home; repotting is happening later). We were amazed at how reasonably priced everything was and feel we got a fantastic deal at $33 for a hefty (unique) potted plant, some cute annuals and a couple pretty little succulents. I was…read morefortunate to find them in the Stafford area because I thought I would have to drive down to Midlothian, Virginia to buy the pine straw. The big box stores locally did not carry it. Meadow farms did not carry it as well. Pine strawreally dresses up your beds much better and I believe it keeps the weeds down better than pine bark mulch. Bobby was extremely helpful and I was impressed with the quality of the pine straw. The price was a whole lot cheaper that I had already priced out elsewhere . I had asked about Japanese beetle infestation, and how to prevent it. Bobby took my phone number down and later Jim called me.I could not believe how knowledgeable he was about the Beatles as well as roses. This is definitely now going to be my go to nursery! 5 STARS!

Apparently, the policy changed on 11/27/2022. I was going to return a few things at this location, where I was greeted by a young lady who proceeded to tell me Michael's Policy has always been you can't return clearance and I stated I had not been in the store for awhile, but I was not aware of that. If you actually look to the end of the receipt, the policy is printed on there. I think it was the way the young lady responded that threw me off, she was a little crass. Apparently, I've not tried to return clearance before because it's only been 3-4 months since I stepped into a Michael's. Needless to say, I genuinely like Michael's, I just wish these younger workers weren't so rude in the way they respond to customers.
