Apparently they want people over 800 on their credit reports and probably no credit utilization under 5% so my suggestion is go find a different lender. We got denied with perfect credit and perfect payment history and no lates or anything negative on our credit for a Roofing loan which is considered an energy efficient loan, but apparently they didn't want to give us that loan so I am complaining about their internal policies and procedures because of probably the executive branch of the United States. Again, my suggestion is Shop around and get a better loan through a different lender. If you have to borrow against a HELOC loan or an HEI loan than I recommend doing that because you won't have any payments under an HEI loan and a HELOC loan is geared towards smaller payments for a longer period of time if that's what you need. I do not Bank with Wheelhouse Credit Union and I will never apply through their credit union again so they lost me as a potential first time customer and a future borrower through their credit union. I will not change my review of their internal processes. We will also be contesting the hard credit pull since they did not do a soft pull and they denied us with a hard credit pull.

Their follow through on helping my business apply for & obtain the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan during this extremely difficult time was top notch. Due to being unable to apply for the PPP Loan through BofA where I've banked for 20 years, a friend told me that CalB&T was allowing new customers to open a business bank account with them and then allowing them to immediately apply for the PPP Loan. I e-mailed CalB&T's Tom Kuo inquiring on Sunday 4/26. I communicated throughout Monday 4/27 with Tom on my new account set up and Josh Hill regarding my PPP Loan application (I was able to fill out the application on Monday). I set up an in-person SAFE (social distancing with masks & limited # of people inside the bank) appointment for Tuesday 4/28 to sign the new business bank accounts documents with Tom & Josh submitted my PPP Loan application before I even arrived back home. Josh gave me his personal cell phone, so that as I had questions filling out the application (even at night) I wouldn't be alone. The SBA approved my PPP Loan application on Thursday 4/30 & my loan funded same day! THIS IS AN AMAZING TURNAROUND TIME for those of you dealing with these SBA Loans! The manager of the El Cajon branch recently helped me to change my checking account of record to my HomeStreet account. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

What's important right now is that I had a money order to deposit and when I was leaving Target I saw a HomeStreet Bank and said to myself, why not deposit there? It'd be a good test of their customer service to see if they can deposit it without an ATM card or even an account number on me. It took the teller a minute, but she did indeed find my account and a few minutes later, I was walking out with said money order in the bank's hands. I have personally ever experienced in a bank and we've been with the Navy Federal Bank for 30 years. My mother is elder Bedford. Her debit card wasn't working. She hasn't drove a vehicle in 20 years. They wanted her to get a identification card, which is fine. That took a week remind you there's no food for her. There's no medicine for her. There's nothing her kids had to figure something out the following week go back into the branch. They literally give this 80 year-old elder so much obstacles just to unlock her debit card and get her money, it was absolutely asinine the disrespect we got from that branch and the people working there was diabolical. Again on her son, and they looked at me like I was literally a criminal who should not be in there when in fact, I'm the one who's been taking care of my mother for the last 20 years I took days off work to go in there to solve this issue so we can get her medicine. It is so easy to deposit using the app, so in that sense, it feels like a big bank, but I can also call the branch if I have a specific need. I have bank accounts for myself, my husband and both of my kids. We have mortgage and car loans here as well. I can use the numerous ATMs around the city, so even though I don't live nearby, I can still access my money. Also, my daughters add to their piggy banks with coins all year long, and then take them to the fee-free coin kiosk to turn their coins into dollars!
