There weren't any public washrooms, excluding those outdoor urinals ("pee curls") that only men can really use, and an employee of a nearby shop directed us to the Magna Plaza shopping center. There were washrooms on the second floor of the shopping center, but it cost €1. But when you have to go, you have to go, and I figured since they were charging to use the facilities, it would at least be a clean and comfortable experience -- when you pay for something, there are certain expectations. To get to the entrance of the washrooms, there were two turnstiles. I went to one turnstile, but it was cash only and I didn't have any cash on me, so I went to the second turnstile that accepted credit cards. However, there was a group of fucking tourists, paying by cash, blocking the credit card only turnstile, while they took their sweet time trying to figure out the currency. I finally managed to get into the washroom, and there was no toilet paper! Seriously, if I have to PAY to use the toilet, there better damn well be toilet paper! Thank goodness I always carry napkins and tissues with me and I wasn't taking a shit! I then went to wash my hands, but there was a MALE employee in the WOMEN'S washroom, and he was blocking the sinks and wouldn't let me wash my hands! I was able to find the handicapped washroom and wash my hands in there, but there was no paper towel. This one of the worst public bathroom experiences I have had (that did not include bodily fluids or excrement everywhere). Depending on which location you go to, Hema might be mostly clothing or more of a department store. Either way, you'll find staples at good prices. If disaster has befallen you and your last few clean shirts? Hema has you covered. The disaster happened to be your shampoo or gel exploding? Hema. I really like the dressing room situation--most locations have an attendant to guide you to an open cubicle when you have found what you want to try on and take any items that didn't work out when you're done.

Wohoo, this is my winkelcentrum!…read more Not only it's where I live, but the name is the same name as my home country. It's my home away from home, because I'm here all the time! With two major supermarkets, big garage space underground, gym, flower shop, two drugstores, health foods store, bakery, fish and butcher place.. It's got it all. Plus, a fries place that doesn't suck, with great fries! The neighbourhood feels super "homey", and you can always sit on one of the branches to look at the channel and the boats (there is a sailing school there!) There is a also a big pet shop and a big jumbo supermarket! Im giving it a 5 stars because the structure could look better (they stopped constructing after a while so it looks a bit unfinished, but it looks alright, I just think it could look better), but hey, it's all about the content, right? ;) If you live nearby, make here your shopping stop for all your needs.
