I have a "free" checking account and savings account with this bank. I have been with them since…read more2010 and I am soon switching to another bank because of all the terrible experiences I have had. First off, I started with a free account at 18. I wanted to use the account for an online store, but they refused to give me a debt card because apparently $300 to $500 in my account wasn't enough money for me to be issued a debt card. That was fine with me at first until three months later they said I still hadn't been with the bank long enough to have a debt card and I still couldn't use it for my online store. Long story short, I removed my money from the account that just sat there unused because I couldn't use it for its intend purpose from the start. I let the account sit for a few months and they then charged me an inactivity fee which was fine. I understand the fee after a few months of the account not being used, even though my paperwork I signed said nothing about an inactivity fee. They suddenly closed the account without notice after a few months and forced me to open a brand new one. I opened the new account and used it on and off so it wouldn't happen again. For some reason, when I opened the new account they gave me a debt card right away and said I should have never had to wait in the first place. I went on vacation last week and for some reason, because I hadn't used the account in a week they closed the account again. I had used it three times just the week before and I swear there was money in it, even though they claim otherwise. The bank was closed all weekend and I couldn't get any help via the support email either. They still haven't emailed me back after almost a week has passed. I went into the bank and put more money into the account to re-open it since my direct deposit pay check wasn't going to auto-re-open the account for me and therefore I wasn't going to get paid because of their mistake. I found out today I was charged a $2.00 service fee after going in and asking them to deposit money into the account. And I have to wait for them to replace my debt card which took me a entire year to finally get from them in the first place. All because I didn't use the account while on vacation. My online account never works for some reason. It is always going inactive randomly in ways that make no sense. Like I cannot use the online account for three months and it is fine, but I cannot log in for two days and my account goes inactive. I have to call them to get them to fix it every time even they claim there is a way to sign up and have it fixed via email. I have checked every page on my account and there is no way to do it. They also change their services all the time. They are always finding new ways to try to charge me money or make money off of me. I feel like my money isn't even safe in the bank because I can never get anyone who knows what they are doing to help me in a timely fashion. Every employee will tell you something different. I personally feel like I don't make enough money for them to care about my account or how I am treated.
