In the past two years my account has been allowed to be vulnerable to fraud. My online banking was seized on March 18, 2025 through Go2Bank with the assistance of Gesa Credit Union! My online log email and phone was allowed to be changed to 803-232-802, jace68729@gmail.com There was no call from the fruad dept because the Gesa credit union fraud dept only handles debit card fraud transactions! I went in to the Sullivan branch at 509 N Sullivan location two weeks ago for assistance. I the full report was written up with notes and they gave me the email, phone and Go2Bank fraud attempt information. I was told the fraud department would call me to discuss the report I submitted as well. Two weeks no call and another attempt to withdraw from my account yesterday. The branch put another request for the fraud department to call me! GESA CREDIT UNION ALLOWS FRAUD ON MEMBER ACCOUNT AND THE CALL CENTER EMPLOYES PEOPLE WHO COULD BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH WHO DO NOT WANT TO HELP YOU!

This rating isn't for this branch directly. It's for Wheatland as a whole, particularly their…read morebusiness services. My business banked with Wheatland for years. I've never felt like they cared about having my business and I originally opened an account with them simply because at the time I wasn't active in my business and they didn't charge service fees for zero balances. I have since built my business and started to notice during reconciliations inconsistent reporting in Wheatland's provided statements, for example, having checks in the checks section but not in transactions and the other way round. Annoying, and calls into question a bank's accuracy in its systems. A bookkeeper sure, but a bank? I found several other items as well and I'm thinking "Really, you're a bank!" My local branch manager deflected and didn't really recognize the issues, not maliciously, just a little apathy. Not enough pain yet for me to change banks though since that's a pain in the patootie once your business is entrenched. It got WAY WAY WAY worse. I wanted to give Wheatland a chance while I am growing the business and applied for a business acquisition loan. First I was given to a loan officer who said "I really don't know why they sent you to me. I specialize in agriculture.", then he said he would send me to another person, I asked for a name and number since I hadn't been responded to previously. I waited a few days then called the number after not hearing anything. I explained the acquisition is a sweetheart deal for the bank: the company has a debt service ratio of 1.7, niche, stable, long standing business. The deal was just shy of $1M, probably small potatoes for Wheatland. He told me it could take 8-10 weeks to close. He sent me an email with what the bank needed. I gave them all financials (seller and buyer), net worth, and a professionally written, detailed PE (private equity) credit proposal. I waited a couple of weeks and followed up. I was told he was waiting for bandwidth in underwriting. This went on for six weeks. No requests for additional information, no proactive communication on status, it was always me reaching out and being told waiting. That person then transferred me to another person stating "They'll be able to help you better, and they're closer to where you're located. And I now am dealing with the Spokane fires." The Spokane fires were about a week in when he did this. Because we were approaching 8 weeks, the sellers were leaving the state end of October, and the clock was ticking on the "no shop" clause (sellers won't look for another buyer), I immediately reached out to the new guy. New guy said he just spoke to old guy (old guy said new guy would reach out, I gave it two days and then chased him). Said he would review file and get back to me "tomorrow", I waited five days and reached out to him (we're now at 7 weeks), he didn't respond, I reached out again asking if he got my message he thanked me for chasing him as he said he didn't see my previous message. He now said he's waiting for spreads. I followed up saying I'd like a copy of the spreads. No acknowledgment to my request. I followed up and he said he got the spreads and was reviewing. I asked for a copy. No response. I asked again, no response. I asked again three weeks ago, no response, no update, no nothing. I have heard nothing from Wheatland for weeks on a near million dollar acquisition deal. That's my business experience with Wheatland. I'm a biz guy, I've never dealt with a supposedly professional financial institution that has acted this unprofessional. The no shop clause has expired. Directly and solely because of Wheatland. I've had to tell the sellers to go ahead and entertain other offers for purchase and if I show up with a check we'll see if they're still available. I have started over with another financial institution. On day one they spotted an SBA deal breaker in the PE proposal and sent me all the required SBA forms. Wheatland never noticed the deal breaker, not even with it going through multiple hands, which could indicate they don't know what they're doing and should not take on these deals. In 24 hours we fixed the deal breaker issue. I've opened accounts and applied for credit cards there to replace everything Wheatland. Then I'll close all my Wheatland accounts and cards. Once done, I'll detail exact communications and outcomes and send them to Susan Horton (Wheatland CEO) and Randy Chesler (Glacier CEO). That will be my last act to their benefit since there is no recovering my trust and faith in them. Maybe they'll care and improve, maybe not. Either way, I've already changed course. Side note: I'm also a business consultant and write a newsletter subscribed to by over 500 business owners who I share my experience with. You never really know the ripple effects of things that can be perceived innocuous.

Do you like sitting on hold for hours and hours only to reach a person who rudely states "Not my problem". Do you enjoy being yelled at by bank employees at 8:00 AM? Do you enjoy wasting time leaving multiple voicemails only to have them deleted without a return call? In fact, you can make an appointment for a call only for it to go to voicemail with no return call. But the next day they will mail a unsigned form threat to you. After giving up on voicemails there is always written correspondence that apparently is thrown in the trash since there is never a response. It you like being stonewalled and lied to on a massive scale then this is the place for you. They have Jordyn, who likes letters after her name, to lie to you about the multiple phone calls never made and multiple letters never sent. The bank can apparently delete voicemail and throw away letters and they never happened. The DFI stated one might have to reach out to upper management to resolve issues. I tried that. Apparently John B, branch manager threw my certified letters away. No contact; bad look! Then Jordyn lied and said I never tried to contact anyone. This was sent in addition to the ones I sent to the branch regular mail. I also sent several certified letters to Carla C, Pres/CEO with no response. Again, not a good look. I sent copies of all letters to BBB. They didn't happen; ask Jordyn. Jordyn knows more about certified mail delivery than the USPS. They choose which calls to acknowledge. Yelling at me for 20 min at 8:00 doesn't count. They did admit to one from my daughter but claimed a different conversation than she reported. According to my lawyer since they own the recording they can claim what the want ; they can even lie. They can even dice and splice the comments. I have since contested Jordyn's response at the BBB but after a week she has still refused to respond. This issue could have been resolved months ago if someone had taken the time to speak to use when we called and followed through on what they had agreed to . Instead we got a rude, condescending, and demeaning attitude from the top down. A commercial bank is far preferable to this travesty of a credit union.
