The casino was a nice size for people who get overwhelmed easily as the pathways are clear so it is easy to learn the layout and the noise isn't too bad so it doesn't feel intimidating in my opinion. The restaurants inside are convenient but there are not really any options for vegan/vegetarian eaters which was disappointing. I had a very unpleasant experience with a fellow player next to me being wildly inappropriate as soon as my partner went to go cash in his tickets. It involved what you might guess. He was pulling his pants (my nice way of saying what he was doing) and trying to get my attention which was terribly uncomfortable and disheartening. This isn't the fault of the casino but maybe since there are cameras everywhere they would be wise to discontinue to entertain people who do things like this. Overall, a decent place to stay for us as we live about an hour away so it is a potential staycation in the future depending on how I process the unsavory experience I had with the crappy crotch monster.

We did not stay here because I hardly play at Penn properties. The casino itself is small and only has around 700 machines as stated. They have a nice parking garage to park. The casino is not 24/7 and they close at midnight and open at 8am I believe. Hours are due to change due to the change of the seasons. Before entering make sure you present your ID as that is required everything you enter the casino. There are the bathrooms and the soda machine nearby. Unfortunately, that is the only bathrooms and soda machine in the casino. They do not have a high limit room, but have high limit machines in a certain area. Their assortment of machines range from low to high volatile. They had some interesting old school IGT machines that I enjoyed to play. Their bets are from low to high betting, so it is a casino for everyone. They also have newer machines like Phoenix Link and the new Huff N Puff Machines. I did not play them as I saw them on Youtube that the bonuses are really difficult. I got lucky on a couple of machines like All Aboard and Pinball, but the rest of the machines were just okay. I ended up lasting for quite some time and did not get slaughtered. I would have probably left within an hour if I did not got a good hit on All Aboard. Overall, I had a good time. I was able to go to the next tier and played 1300 points for 5 hours which is pretty good. I would have probably been ahead if I stopped at 1000 tier the min to reach Advantage, but I really wanted to get the bonuses on some of the machines.

I was on a panel about suspense and the influence of Stephen King, and it was fun to have that event in the heart of Derry/Bangor. The theater was attractive, with a nice stage and a spacious seating area. There were some cool chandeliers that looked like crystal jellyfish. I gather that the theater is a town landmark and important cultural institution, putting on a full roster of shows when it isn't hosting one-off literary events. There was a little bar off to one side of the theater, apparently called The Stage Door. I hung out there with friends and new acquaintances before and after the panel. I got to try two cans of local beer, the Orono Tubular Hazy IPA and the Sacred Profane Dark Lager. Both were delicious beers that I never see at home. I had a lovely time at the Penobscot Theatre Company and am glad I got to visit on my first trip to Maine. I'd recommend it for all your Bangor theater needs, as well as any events about the great Stephen King.

Everything from the online tickets to the ease of getting your seat from the ushers. The Theatre itself is a beautiful old space that makes you feel a bit back in time. Located right in downtown Bangor, it's easy to get to, parking isn't a problem, and there are some great dinner options nearby before a show. Looking forward to our next visit.
