I learned that there is a very rare cotton candy lobster and an orange and blue colored ones too! They have a 10 year old female named "Big Mama" and she is going to give birth to a thousand eggs! There is a small one year old lobster and a 5 year old. I learned so much about about the aquatic animals and got to touch slugs, starfish, sea cucumbers and more! Highly recommend supporting educational institutions like this! Enjoy this lovely place while visiting Acadia Bational Park!

The kids were thrilled by the skid steer.... but maybe this is because they're typically not allowed near the front of our vehicle. It was nice to take a step back from technology, and watch the kids be able to freely engage with their creative imaginations. I honestly wish there were more places like this. I'm definitely going to keep up with all of their changes, and maybe get involved in some of the volunteer opportunities. Nothing negative; just interesting. The Fort itself had never seen war and a good majority of the Fort has simply been recreated) so its historical history is strictly Maine -- I believe it may be the oldest standing wooden fort in the USA.
