So bad I don't know where to begin. Not recommended for buying or selling. I have tried three times…read moreto sell very clean, excellent condition, fashionable items including designer, and they have literally rejected everything each time after making me wait 45 minutes. In that time I browse the store, and their stock is often worn, dirty, and in poor condition with odd pricing. A ripped canvas pouch is $11 while a leather coat with genuine fur trim is $30? And yet my brand name and designer items are rejected. I'm happy to tell anyone how bizarre this place has been, including the rude staff. Edit: they offered to buy one mint condition designer item for $150, which would have sold for $900 retail second-hand. I turned around and sold it to Oliver Jewelry the next day for $550. Seller beware!

This is a fun place to browse with a lot of clothing. But hit and miss whether I find anything I…read morelike. I give 4 stars for buying clothes and accessories. But 3 stars for selling- you really don't get much $ and I'm not sure it's worth the 30 min wait for them to go through your items, only to receive $8 and 75% of your items returned back to you. Suggestions for improvement would be faster sorting of items you drop off and bin inside or just outside the store to donate your remaining items they didn't buy ( if you so wish). Just make the process easier to sell and donate, so you feel like it's all settled when you leave the store and you didn't spend a large chunk of time for a small amount of $. Some prices are on the high side. Some are reasonable. I enjoy looking through different brands and labels in the same store. I end up seeing things I don't usually because I'm boring and tend to shop at the same retail locations. It gets me out of my fashion box! Service is friendly. No issues there. Sometimes there is a wait for a change room. But nothing too crazy. The space between racks is narrow. Shopping with a stroller is challenging as it's hard for other shoppers to get past you

O.K......so, I'm a Dad with 4 teens and I'm doing a first time review of a 'dressmaking ' shop…read more That fact alone should tell you how much this little shop has impressed me and my family. This review is more for their exceptional skill at alterations and repairs than anything else. It all started with my daughter's 2 prom dresses ( which took 9 months to find btw ! ) that needed to be altered. We kept hearing rave reviews from a bunch of people about this place called Lucy's - so we checked them out. The amount of time this place took to do the appropriate measurements was really impressive - they were very patient and meticulous in their work. And once they came back - WOW...they looked like custom made garments. It was like night and day and after trying them on and taking them home, my daughter couldn't stop grinning all the way home. From that point on, Lucy's is the only place my wife and daughter will go for alterations. Then, one of my daughters' ' expensive ' parkas had the zipper break. Talking to 2 other shops, one said it was too expensive to fix and finding a proper zipper would be difficult, the other said it was also a ' difficult ' repair and would cost over $100+++. At Lucy's, they were able to just look at it, smile and say ' no problem ' - all for less than $50. Lucy's repaired it and it came back as good as new. In my case it was zipper issues as well . Our puppy somehow got a hold of my ' very expensive 'leather jacket and chewed the zipper apart. And, the zipper on my favorite 20 year old parka finally fell apart. In both cases, Lucy's came to the rescue and did a super job of replacing both of them....and all for dirt, dirt cheap price....and both looked just as they did before. Perfect ! So, if you're in need of alterations and repair from a shop with exceptional skill and cheap prices - you can't do any better than Lucy's. Highly recommended !

Also thank you for putting sleeves on a pretty sleeveless dress and making it more wearable. I highly recommend Lucy's for their expertise and workmanship. Barbara

Atrocious customer service. I'd arranged by phone to bring clothing to this consignment store. I'd shopped there years ago, and…read morewe are downsizing. It's the first time I'd thought to take anything over there. On the phone, I was told to bring up to 15 items: "the best clothes you have for consignment." Now, I have some beautiful, expensive items that I'd worn just a few times before becoming seriously ill. I'd had 4 surgeries and many meds, which made me gain 2 sizes, and which I cannot seem to lose. So, I thought these clothes would be great for other women who are size 4 to 6 - designer pants, jackets, a dress and sweaters. When I arrived today, they barely said hello. Instead, two staff began pulling clothes out of the bag and talking about them without including me in the conversation. One walked off, and the other put some clothes aside, saying "we don't take office wear, and we don't take party clothes." (These pieces could variously be worn to a restaurant, a party, a corporate event, a premier, etc.) I pointed out that the pants she was actually holding were not office wear, but rather, with the detail down each side, were more for social outings. She said again that they don't take office or party wear. I suggested they tell people on the phone what they do accept, because I wasn't informed about what they don't look for. I said it would be better for people to know, and that I had other things I could have brought instead, if I'd known. She shrugged and said "Well, that's the way it is. Too bad." which I thought was incredibly impolite. If she'd said she was sorry, and that she wished I'd been informed on the phone, then all would have been fine with me. But she didn't, and so again I said I thought they needed to think about the fact that people need to have details of what kind of items they want. This woman shrugged again and smirked, and began stuffing all my things back in to my bag, saying "Just forget it, I'm not looking at anything." Now, I believe I had a right to suggest they let people know before they drag stuff all the way over there - I'd ironed everything and carefully folded it all, and this store wasted my time. They have no consideration for the people that bring things in. I will never go there again, but I feel I should warn folks about this place. They treat you like you're part of a conveyor belt, not like a fellow human being all all.
