This was some of the best pad Thai I have had!!! I had to walk in to order because no one would answer the phone but it was prepared quickly! I ate lunch and had extra for dinner!

Service was super bad. Just a bunch of kids working. Food wasn't even that good. Pho was super salt to my taste. Our grilled pork was still pink and a little bloody. Also had a Togo order " 4 springs rolls" which it took them 15 minutes for it.

Came in around 1:50PM on a Sunday. It was moderately packed, busy and not enough workers. But we got sat down in about 5 minutes. Waiter told us that there would probably be a 15 minute wait before we were served. No problem for me, trying to help the busy stressed staff as much as we could. Anyways, we ordered spring rolls, papaya, and their special pho. Their spring rolls are definitely top 5 I've had before. The ingredients used are fresh! And the rice wrap is so nice and soft. The peanut sauce is great! 10/10. Their special pho is also really good! Great broth flavor, but it is a lighter taste compared to other pho's I've had. I added some peanut sauce from the spring rolls and MAN!!! That hit. I recommend adding that peanut sauce they have to your pho. 7.6/10! Papaya was good, but nothing special. We got it with 2 peppers. Okay flavor, good portion size for 2 people. 5.5/10. Due to the amount of customers and little staff, we weren't able to get our drinks refilled. But no biggie I understand. It would've been nice though especially with spicy papaya and hot pho! Overall this place was great! 4/5!!! Spring rolls are a MUST!

Okay, it's my 3rd time trying Bangkok Pho again and this time they had really IMPROVED. Maybe because during the time they were closed because of Governor's order they probably took that time and improved their food and menu as well. I enjoyed it very much this time and cannot wait to go back to try other new items on the menu. I also added their new updated menu too.

Love the food and service here. My favorite appetizers to get are either the egg rolls or Asian style chicken wings. My go to entrees are either the house drunken noodles or the basic Hmong sausage. One of my favorite drinks would have to be the cream sodas; green and red are both good! Food comes out pretty quick. The food is always so good that I forget to take a picture before eating. I managed to get one picture for you guys! Definitely would recommend if you are looking to try something different!

So far really authentic Isan Lao food. Just started eating here. The few things I've had were traditionally seasoned, you can pick your heat level too. I particularly love the papaya salad, som tom. They serve it in three versions, American, no idea what it tastes like as I'd never order a Thai Lao dish seasoned for the American palate. The Thai version and the Laotian version, more fish sauce, are perfectly put together with lime, tomatoes and peanuts. Another favorite S/E Asian dish is larb. Laab is a mined meat dish seasoned with several flavorful ingredients including lime juice, fish sauce, shallots and cilantro. I ordered both headed to chili level 3, this may be a bit under traditional but it doesn't overwhelm all the other flavors. These two dishes served here are as good as you'll get in most restaurants in the Isan provinces of Thailand and Laos. My next visit to Bangkok Pho Will have me ordering some of the sausage that's on the menu. Most of the rest of the menu is typical Thai restaurant fare. The staff I've dealt with our enthusiastic about their food. The decor is sparse but who cares when the kitchen is that good.

I went with my family, party of 6 for our annual Christmas dinner. Every year, we picked a…read moredifferent restaurant to go to. Thai Lotus was the place we chose for this year. The place seemed cozy and quiet and the waitress was nice. However, when we received our food, I was very disappointed. The food that we ordered was okay but the portions were so little. We ordered like 8-10 different plates of food. How do you expect to feed 6 people when it's only enough for 4. Come on...It's almost like you have to order double and it's not cheap. As for the food, we didn't like much of the taste. When you are Asian, you know what good food is. For instance, I had the Tom Yum Soup. It didn't taste quite like Tom Yum Soup and the same goes for the Pork Curry. The whole time that we were eating there, my wife and I still think that Jin's Buffet by Walmart, should've been a better choice. Oh well, I guessed you have to learn from your mistake. After dinner, it's funny, the waitress asked if we would like some boxes for our left over food. I'm like, no we're good. What left over food...? My advice for customers: If you have never had Asian Food, you might think that this place is a good place to eat. However, if you did have Asian Food elsewhere you would know the differences when it comes to taste. Maybe you don't care, that's your business. I respect that. I'm just letting you know. My advice for the owner: Please be aware of the people you served. You can't serve 6-10 people like you would 2-4. You can't be greedy when it comes to food. People like it when you give them a lot of food. Your customers will be coming back even if the food isn't that great. As for me and my family, it would be a long time before we ever come back to Thai Lotus....

Mekvilai Thai Cuisine is a casual Thai restaurant in Hickory. It is located in a medium sized plaza…read moreso there is plenty of parking. The interior is popping with red, albeit dim lighting. The service is friendly, but the food came out a bit slower (I had with four people total) than I expected. We got the Snow Pea Dish (Seafood Combination), Drunken Noodle with Chicken, Crispy Tofu, Rama Tofu, Red Curry, Tulip Dumpling, and Rice Pudding. I was pleasantly surprised the Drunken Noodle with Chicken! I enjoyed the sauce on my noodles which were also cooked well and did not clump together like at other places. I wish it was a bit spicy... next time I will ask for the chili spice rack (it was not readily available on the table). My cousins enjoyed their food, especially the tofu dishes. I ate a bit of the Crispy Tofu and I wish the tofu had some seasoning on it because the peanut sauce could only add so much flavor. I also tried a bit of the Rice Pudding, which is their mango sticky rice. I thought it was okay... the mango did not taste super fresh, maybe a bit artificial? But not bad! Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at how good my dish, the Drunken Noodle with Chicken tasted. I have eaten a lot of good Thai food, especially having lived/visited places like Atlanta/New York City, so I was not expecting this place... my tiny hometown... to be that good. Also, I had visited this restaurant a few years ago and I found the food to be very average, but this time it was very tasty. I am not sure if there was a change in chefs or management in recent years, but keep up the good work!
