Terrible attempt at a pun but absolutely amazing photographer…read more When my fiance and I were shopping around for photographers for our wedding, we had a few names in mind but met with Kaan and KB Productions first. Not even joking, after we met with him, we were sold. He took the time to show us some of his work and videos and talked to us about whats important to us and how our day looks and what we would value the most out of their work. There was never any sales pressure and it felt more like a meet and greet to see if we would be able to work together. We contracted his team for our wedding for 14 hours with 2 videographers and 2 photographers, over 4 different venues (hotel getting ready, hotel for tea ceremony, park for wedding party photos, church for the ceremony and restaurant for the reception). Along with this package came a free engagement session. We had already had our engagement pictures done but we figured it would be nice to just have another set as well. Due to timing though, we ended up doing the session a week before the wedding. We weren't expecting to get these photos back until after the wedding but Kaan was able to get us the pictures within 48 hours because he knew that we wanted to use one or two of the pictures blown up at the tea ceremony and reception. It was also a great opportunity to see what worked for us as a couple and Kaan's style as a photographer. The team was very organized, they had asked for a schedule of the day so that they could be properly prepared and also who were the important people so they knew where to keep most of their focus when they needed to. In true bride style, we were running behind in the morning so we weren't quite ready for the team when they got to the hotel room but they made the most of it by taking beautiful pictures of the dresses, shoes, rings, flowers and all other essentials laying about. I appreciated that they didn't just sit idly by waiting for us but were looking for things they could shoot both with stills and video. Kaan asked if there were any changes to the day or anything else that he needed to know. I asked him to let me know after the tea ceremony was over if we had time to chat with the family or if we needed to go. He let us know how much time we had afterwards and then very politely reminded us when we needed to go so we could get away from family who were more than happy to keep talking our ears off hehe. The pictures of me in my dress are breathtaking (with the editing they did of course). I also didn't even remember that they took pictures of my mom helping me with the sash on my dress or just small moments like that while getting ready which I am grateful that we have digitally forever. The pictures we took in the park, I was a little skeptical about because it was RAINING AND CLOUDY! The pictures we got back, you wouldn't even be able to tell that it was a dreary day. The video you can though, you can't really hide the wind heh. But just amazing the work we received back because the weather was really not cooperating with us. The pictures at the church were gorgeous and natural. We appreciated all the family photos we took afterwards even though I know Kaan's team was STARVING. When we got to the reception, my feet were pooped so I was hiding away until the reception fully started. I had thought that Kaan's team were snacking away due to shear hunger and exhaustion at this point but they kept going! They were taking pictures of the guests having fun and hanging out, which I really appreciate since let's face it, I really didn't have time to spend with everyone who came to the wedding unfortunately. We have gorgeous shots of the speeches and first dance, cake etc. The wedding video that they produced is amazing. The pictures overall were great and a really good mix of classic, serious, fun and of course goofy. Of course I'm biased because I'm in most of it but it really is something that I will cherish for years to come. One thing I really appreciated was the fact that the team stayed after the 14 hours were up. Like most weddings, the reception was running a bit behind so the first dance, cake cutting and bouquet toss were delayed. They still stayed after the time alloted though because they knew these were super important moments. Likely embarassing moments for my new husband and me, but hey, moments we wanted captured for life ha. Kaan and his team were very patient with all the random delays and issues that came up during the day and dealing with frazzled brides on the day of is a challenge in itself. They were respectful and creative and we will appreciate it for the rest of our lives as we look at the photos and watch the video.

We booked with M&L Fotographics to shoot our September 1 2017 wedding because of their stunning…read moreportfolio;  of course we wanted a photographer who could make us look great!  But we had no idea that we were in store for so much more with this team.  It was during our engagement shoot that we realized Mike and Liz are both special people.  We had such a great time, it was like hanging out with old friends.  Mike did a fantastic job directing us and putting us at ease during the shoot.  He is creative and obviously extremely talented at his craft, but also so funny and personable you can't help but be comfortable around him and trust that he is doing his thing!  And you can tell that Liz is his rock:)  The results from the engagement shoot were fantastic - we knew we had made the right choice for our wedding day photographer, and we were not disapponted.  Mike and Liz were patient and reassuring with all of the craziness going on the day of the wedding and when I (the bride) was stressed out and even on the brink of tears, it was Mike and Liz who were with me, keeping me sane and laughing.  I will never forget that. He went above and beyond-- I had gotten a really bad makeover the day of our engagement photos so he did a second shoot for us the next day. (It's those photos from the second day we ended up using.) Then he did an extra shoot for us the day before our wedding-- we had forgotten it'd be cherry blossom season and Marcin got us some incredible shots, as one of my friends described: "every DC bride's dream shots." We were already getting a stellar deal from him, basically just covering his expenses, and definitely didn't expect anything extra. He certainly didn't owe us anything, but he offered it anyway. I wish we had gotten more photos of our guests, but all the photos we do have are beautiful and artistic. (I have a degree in art, so I'm really picky.) Marcin was pleasant and fun to work with. I don't usually write reviews, but the fact that Ikonica has 5 stars compelled me to help people be…read moremore informed before paying this company to provide footage for important events. We had a terrible experience with Ikonica, who we hired to do our wedding photos and videos. The photos and videos we received were so sloppy, amateur and looked so unprofessional that we ended up using materials that some guests provided to share with our family and friends. Those who did see the photos and videos from Ikonica were shocked that we actually paid for this service. Dealing with Jackson was extremely unnerving. He came up with a number of excuses for his team's subpar work (for example he tried to blame the church for the shaky and hazy video footage). It also felt like he was holding key moments hostage, which he would only provide at an additional cost unless explicitly stated in the contract. To be clear, this is raw footage which his team already captured. These included our first dance, any footage of bridesmaids or groomsmen together, grand entrance, the bride walking down the aisle, and so on. He clearly prioritizes money over customer service and quality of work. He even held back key photos that they took, including family photos in the church, that we stood for hours to take. If you do decide to work with Ikonica, please read the contract very well before signing, and be sure to include ALL key items you would like to receive - I would go so far to explicitly state things like CHURCH FAMILY PHOTO, BRIDE WITH BRIDESMAIDS, GROOM WITH FAMILY, etc.. His exact words were "we shot many images and not all were included in the delivered files.. if you want the rest of the raw files they are available for $300" or "if you wish to have the footage for the first dance, it is available with the rest of the raw footage for $600". I.e. I'm holding the best memories hostage until you pay me more. Although Jackson finally admitted that what he delivered was subpar he refused to provide any photo or video replacement footage (other than providing re-edits of the original videos which were just cutting out most of them), without an extra charge! For example, the ceremony video was completely useless (he didn't even capture the bride walking down the aisle!), and after admitting that he agreed that the work was bad, he would not provide footage of our first dance to compensate even though they had captured it! An extremely low move to grab some extra cash in my opinion! Their customer service was almost as bad as the product quality they provided, and I highly recommend staying away from these guys as there are dozens of highly qualified photographers/videographer in Toronto.

His entire team at Ikonica were a pleasure to work with, from his assistant, to album editors. It really felt like a family at Ikonica and as clients, we always felt like we were taken care of. So much so, that we chose to also do our maternity shoot with Ikonica as well. This was a very special shoot for me, which also gave me quite a bit of anxiety. However, Jackson put my mind at ease, making me feel extremely comfortable and beautiful. The photos from our engagement shoot, wedding and maternity shoot blew our expectations out of the water. The quick turnaround time on getting our photos back was also very impressive. We are thrilled with all of our photos and can honestly say everything we wanted was captured in the best light. I look forward to working with Ikonica again!

Truly, there is no responsiveness or professionalism at all. We had paid for our day of coverage plus an additional $1200 to use towards a photo album. It has been 14 months since my wedding and I still have not received a photo album. I have messaged the "office" multiple times, messaged Dave himself on Instagram, etc... and still have not heard anything back. At this point I'm tired of hounding them. It took 4-5 months just to get the digital copies of my photos too (no sneak peaks). Please avoid and go with a more professional company where you might actually receive the products which you paid for.

We were promised a two week turnaround time. He has since then disappeared. Emails have been replied to by his secretary with false delivery dates and no curtesy call to update us on the progress. It is june 2017 now and I still have not gotten to see the any photos he took on that day. I will update my review if things change.
