Here's the text of the complaint I sent to the company: To whom it may concern, I am under no illusions regarding your company taking responsibility for its actions and am fairly certain that bandwidth.com will do absolutely nothing about any of the complaints they've received/will receive in regard to the telephone scam operations your company has enabled, so I reported your company to the FCC. We've been getting calls on our land line several times daily for several weeks now. They show up on caller ID as "out of area" (except that they're calling from our area code). I never answer as I don't recognize the number and anyone masking their identity isn't getting the time of day from me, but my husband insists on answering the phone when they call. Whenever he answers, there is no response, just background noise. My husband called the numbers back last night and received messages indicating that the numbers are "not in service." So tonight I looked up two of them. One of the numbers is listed as "unknown in Colorado" even though the caller is calling from my area code. The second one is listed as belonging to bandwidth.com, Colorado Springs, CO: http://www.whitepages.com/phone/1-719-325-8760 I filed a complaint with the FCC this evening: https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action I've suggested to anyone registering complaints at the various consumer complaint sites receiving such calls to look up the numbers online thru Reverse Lookup White Pages and then report them to the FCC if being harassed with repeated calls that result in the caller simply hanging up/not responding. Otherwise, I am advising that consumers file a complaint with the FBI if the caller is making suspicious threats of legal action. Local law enforcement may also be contacted. And as this friendly dentist just showed us, contacting the local media is a good way to get the word out in addition to filing a complaint. You may even make the national media soon. So he is a employee of this company. The picture on Face Book is real. She will be the picture of a pretty Latina model. From: South America. That can't speak English. So this makes the victim feel as though they are actually speaking with the Latina picture on Face Book. Yet is a male adult from this company. Using this phone number: ( 864) 214-6721. At first the male employee will post the picture of the Latina model from South America. Under the : A.K.A. name : Cherry Juanita. Or Juanita Cherry. The problem is the real one as stipulated from: Jonesboro Louisana . Is the approximate age of : 59. So the male adult employee of this company by text message will apologize. Especially when you point out the facts. That the real : Juanita Cherry of Jonesboro Louisana is not : 27 years old. Not a Latina. But a elderly female white adult. This is a voip service provider that is primarily used by scammers to harass folks and data mine/steal from you. I believe that at a certain point, when such an obvious infestation of illegal activity has blatantly utilized a company's services for intentionally destroying our "fellow man's" lives= the Company is morally corrupt and should be made to toe the line of personally answering to the individuals, whose abuse they knowingly facilitated. I don't particularly care for Big Government involving themselves in the private sector, or infringement on anonymity. I feel a bit different about businesses that are inherently evil and actively propagate that evil throughout our World. Then says he is going to send me a check in the mail with a tracking number. i receive it, the check has a hologram authentication and everything! Routing number, account number, a real bank stamped on it! and the business it says it's written out of is 'GS Retail Services' address 524 E Sixth Ave. Tarentum, PA 15084. But when I looked up GS Retail Services it had a whole different address. And the number I called I couldn't get through to anyone. Bandwidth.com's customers are still at it. I have been received hundreds of SPAM TEXT message, multiple times per day, multiple days of the week. I have Reach out to law enforcement from the offending business locations (Mainly Southern California), Reached out to my mobile provider, and reached out to Bandwidth.com. So far bandwidth.com has done nothing but issue a generic, almost copy and pasted quote from their legal disclaimers. I don't understand how they continue to let this go on. Basically they are just turning a blind eye. If I was a building owner and my rented out spaced where being used for illegal or questions activities, and I knew about it and did NOTHING, I would probably be going to jail. Constant non-stop phone calls to my cell day and night from "auto-dialers" seeking to scam me out of money. I am on a fixed income and they use every scam known to man to try and con me. Every number I've traced back so far comes back to this company, the latest being a 202 area code inside of Washington DC! They are now trying to use the Midterms to scam money. Beware. This Texas-based number (979-484-7098) is used to spam callers. The call I received claimed that my social security number had been compromised in the state of Texas and told me to call back to talk to a case manager. When I looked up the number on my phone, it initially showed "Social Security Administration" as the contact name. By digging further, I found out that it actually belongs to CLEC, LLC. By the reviews on here, this is obviously not the first time the owner of this number has tried to scam people. read more

I got a call from 786 372-8115. It went to my voice mail. The robot female voice said I had 4 cases against me and the "cops" would soon pay me a visit. A reverse search on the number came up with 2 names. Bandwidth.com seemed to be the favorite. YMAX Communications was the other name. Both were located in Miami according to the area code.
