Banapple is always a treat whenever I am with my friends from Bacolod. Somehow, we all agree that this is "our" place whenever we decide to get together, and it is always a blast. For some reason, we always gravitate back to this branch in Market Market because unlike their other branches, we usually don't have to wait very long to get seated. Such is the appeal of Banapple that they almost always have a waiting list.
The decor in this branch is kitschy, colorful and cute without being too annoyingly childish. I love the marbles that they stuck to the table tops; they remind me so much of my childhood. i also love the efficiency of the service - the ladies in this branch are consistently helpful and attentive. We never have to ask twice for anything.
Though the cakes and the desserts are excellent, I have a bit of an issue with the savory food because they taste a bit too sweet for my liking. I have had the ribs and the roll-up lasagna several times during different visits, but they always strike me as a bit too saccharine for me -and that says a lot coming from a sweet tooth. What I like I always have to salt my food a bit, but that's okay. At least I come out of there with a bulging tummy all the time. It might just be my personal taste.
