If my understanding is correct, the health department would be very interested in knowing that one of the employees was clearly eating over the pans of chicken, rice and sauces. She was also eating over the area where the food was packaged to go out. I have to say the food was good but this makes one ask, how much food is eaten and dropped over food being prepared for customers. I was standing next to the counter and could clearly see her through the window on the swinging door. I hope someone addresses this with the employee before the health department sees something like this. It's a small ordering area and you can see directly into the kitchen. As I said before, the food was good, not as good as we have had, but still left me uneasy about spending $24 on food that may or may not have someone else's food in it.

A Big Plus: They have a free soup bar with an entree purchase. The hit and sour is pretty darn good. Egg drop is ok, but not the best egg drop version by any means. But hey, it's free! Cashew chicken: A bit different version, but was pretty good stuff. The chicken coating has hints of a KFC taste. Not full on KFC seasoning....but has much more flavor than other places chicken coating. The sauce is darker and richer tasting. All and all...it was good and the chicken used is very good quality. I woke up Wednesday morning with a migraine, so I hadn't eaten ALL day. The one thing that sounded…read moregood was Golden Dragon's egg drop soup. It is the best. Loaded with plenty of egg whites, green onions, a deep brothy flavor, and best of all some extra protein with the chicken they add in theirs. I also really enjoy their fried rice. They put in fresh bean sprouts which adds that freshness and crunch. All we ordered was 1 order of beef fried rice, 1 order of chicken egg drop soup, and 2 sprites. Totaling a little over $20. An affordable meal for two, as we can split those two items and still have food leftover. So good sized portions as well. Golden Dragon has been a staple in the Ozark area ever since I was a kid. I was reminiscing that night sitting in the drive through, talking to my son about a time when I remembered when they were dine in and had a buffet! He had no idea that they were a full blown restaurant once upon a time. I say all of this as a prelude to once we got home and opened our order. We DIDN'T order any vegetable spring rolls, but they had thrown in a little bag of them just for us. This may have been a small gesture on their part, but it really made me smile and feel better from a day that was not so great. So THANK YOU to whomever there that threw in that sweet little surprise. Yesterday the shrimp was /hard, crispy, overcooked. At first I thought it was a tail shell but no, it was overcooked and included dark pieces of garlic. The eggplant dish used to have pieces of pork jalapeños and looks of spicy flavor. Yesterdays's order had one piece of pork and lots of tomato sauce. The texture was too soft and the flavor was bland. The original owner knew how to cook flavorful food. The current owner appears to be more concerned with cutting corners. Sadly I won't be going back.
