Print, delicious and generous authentic Chinese food available right in Lolo. We loved the egg rolls and pot stickers!! Then we were treated with three amazingly tasty main dishes, each of which are recommended! The Cashew Nut Scallops were large and flavorful. The Chicken Fried Rice could easily provided a full meal by itself. The Almond Chicken Chow Mein is among the best I've ever had. We are quite happy with Bamboo Gardens since they re-opened. We stopped eating there as the food didn't taste good. Seems like now they have revamped their recipes. We had 3 entrees and egg roll for $60. For the two of us there's enough food for at least 3 meals. My only complaints are that I didn't care for the flavor in the eggroll, can't put my finger on it though, my husband liked them. Also, no indoor seating. Transactions are done at the takeout window...that's fine until it rains or snows as there's no cover or benches. We will be back. Best thing is to call ahead. read more

PRICE GOUGING at its best for less than mediocre food. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! When he said $30 for entree & crab Rangoon I was like seriously!??? He laughed and said "you know inflation!" To which I said more like price gouging!! I'm a nurse and make $40/hr, it makes zero sense to pay that for carry out chinese. Lolo is a blue collar town and deserves better! We are visiting our son and daughter in law in Florence and decided to stay close for dinner. ( By the way we are very picky about our Asian food). We were greeted with a smiling hello and "how are you this evening thank you for coming in". We ordered. Some people in the group like hot so the waitress suggested a side order of Thai spices. Great call!!! The food was amazing, PA the owner came out and introduced herself, making us feel right at home. We ordered lemon chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Szechwan beef, and the most delicious pot sticker sauce! And if you like hot ask for the Thai spice. The restaurant is clean and efficient. Oh and the do take out. I HIGHLY recommend Bamboo Chopstick II in Lolo!! We will definitely be back! read more

Ordered 11different items from Bamboo Chopsticks (for a family gathering ) and only ended up with only 9 items We called and spoke to male that "said" we had not ordered the two items. Got home and reviewed the bill compared the prices on line (make sure that I had prices). They charged us for the two meals/entree's that we didn't get. Stiffed us for $31.00 Be careful on large orders that you get. No receipt attached to the bag as they have in the past. I have previously given a better review. I like the egg fo young however they don't give you enough rice for one patty much less three. Asked for enough for the order but was told extra white rice would cost $4.00 more. Kinda ridiculous I think for that. This is fairly authentic food. It's not really any more expensive than other Chinese/Asian joints around the area. It'd be great to have a few more "combo selections" than what they have, but the food is very fresh and there's plenty to choose from. Plan to spend some time here, fresh food takes time to cook. I do think they run the business very lean, but that doesn't bother me because the alternative is to pay more. The restaurant business is very hard--especially in a small tow I've only been there twice, but my wife and I are very happy with the service and the food. I'd highly recommend it and we will be back. March 2019 Back for yet another date night with my wife. I ordered the General's Chicken and it was the most amazing flavor I've ever had. The rating stems from mainly the wait ! The food was alright but rather expensive .......hoewever, we had to wait for FORTY minutes to get the food ! We were a party of six...and there is nothing worse in a restaurant to watch other customers who came later to be served first! Waitress coming by with dishes to take to another table. We were served in shifts....took 15 minutes for the table to be served. By the time we got our meals the first three were already done eating. And it is rather pricey for a basic restaurant like this one, so I really cannot recommend it! read more

I always eat the Mongolian beef, or szechaun chicken. Literally the best place anywhere near Missoula to get Chinese food. I recommend trying everything on the menu because it is fresh and delicious. The wait is worth it(: This place is anything but basic. The cook, makes your order as you order. Everything is FRESH! Nothing like the buffet. So yes.. sometimes getting great fresh food takes time to get. read more

This place used to be in Missoula and had about the best Chinese in town. The food seems the same since the move to Lolo. Definitely worth the trip to Lolo. My daughter and I used the Missoula to Lolo bike trail to come down and have lunch on a Friday. It was tasty and a great way to spend a day off. read more

I called in an order on my way home from work. I was told 30 minutes until my food was ready, but was given a time to pick up the food that was 40 minutes later. I waited 40 minutes and went to the restaurant, they did not have my food ready. I left again and returned 30 minutes later and picked up the food. When I got home only 1/2 the order was there. I called and they said another 20 minutes and they would have my food ready. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told the manager already knew of the situation and food was put in as it was ordered so I would have to wait my turn. I then asked for the address of the owner to notify them of the situation and was told they did not have the address and that I could look on their website. I looked and it was not available. I will not be returning. It took 2 hrs of my time, 3 trips driving back and forth and the food was mediocre. The meals I bought were $12.50 a piece on top of the frustration it caused. read more

This was one of my favorite restaurants up until last night. We ordered Chinese on my way home from running errands. I ordered the combo 3 (which contains almond chicken) and when I got home we started eating. There were peanuts in my almond chicken, which I am allergic to. I took a benadryl as my husband called the restaurant. They denied that there could have been peanuts on the almond chicken, didn't apologize, and only offered a refund if we brought the dish back (we live half an hour away). 2 benadryl and 2 hours later, I was fine, but it could have been worse. The fact that they couldn't even admit that there might have been something wrong with the dish indicates that there's something going on. They risked my life for their pride and I will never recommend them again, nor will I be going there in the future. read more

This dinner was a rough one to swallow. Incredibly expensive for very poor food. The chow mein was purely steamed cabbage with a few sprinkled crunchy chow mein noodles on top ($1.99 for a bag of these at the store, we buy them for salads). The almond chicken appeared to be simply fried pieces of chicken with some sort of plain chicken gravy poured over top with a few chopped almonds on top. The food was pretty bad and for the price we paid we expected a lot more ($15/person for the family dinner). Hot water was not turned on in the bathroom, so it seemed like they were really trying to save money all over the restaurant, though there was an hour-long wait for many of the customers, which would make me think they are earning plenty at this establishment. Bamboo Chopstix II is fabulous. Huge portions served hot and fresh. The wait is longer because every dish is prepared from scratch. No steam tables. No pre-cooked fried foods. Bamboo Chopstix II is the best Chinese food you can find in western Montana. You have to travel 8 hours by car to Seattle for equal quality. BCII is one of only two places in the Missoula area that uses seasoning and spice to flavor their authentic Chinese cuisine. Previous negative reviews have been written by fellow locals who are unfortunately better suited to the blandness of McDonald's and Burger King, and wouldn't recognize traditional, authentic flavors if they were smacked in the face by it. If you want to order Americanized dishes like Chow Mein then you should expect them to be made authentically and amazingly delicious rather than catering to Montana's ill-conceived idea of the dish. By the way, its fantastic. My personal favorite is the fried rice. Bamboo Chopstix II has the best fried rice you will ever find, at any spice level you are comfortable with, from no spice to face melting in the best of ways. I spent two years of my college career rooming with Chinese foreign exchange students that ate their fried rice twice weekly, without fail. Want legitimate Hot and Sour Soup? You won't find it anywhere else in Montana, or any state that borders it. Szechuan Tofu? Lemon Chicken? Mushroom Beef? You got it. Sumptuous portions for very affordable rates. My wife and I can eat lunch at Bamboo Chopstix II for less than $30 dollars, and that includes a very generous tip. If you prefer multiple dishes during your dining experience they have options that allow you to sample multiple plates all-in-one across four different choices during lunch or dinner. I'll repeat myself just to be clear. It doesn't get better than Bamboo Chopstix II anywhere in the region for Chinese food, and frankly, food in general. You can do no wrong when ordering dishes and will always have enough to eat for leftovers the next day unless you're a glutton for amazing food like I am. Enjoy! read more
