This place is excellent! Service was only okay but the food was great. Excellent Thai food. Would definitely recommend and definitely come back

We've been in Europe for over a week and definitely missing familiar foods. We came to Bambubox two days in a row because the food was so good. The pictures certainly did justice for the flavors of the food. The dishes was what we needed after a week away from home.

Chicken Pad Thai (already well into eating) delicious!!

We stopped at Bambubox for a late family dinner after a long day of traveling, shopping, and snacking on tapas! I checked the few reviews this place had and was pleasantly surprised to find delicious Thai food in the heart of Madrid. We ordered 3 entrees for the 5 of us. Fried chicken spring rolls for an app which were just ok. Based on other reviews we ordered the red curry with chicken (this is on the vegetarian menu so you have to ask for chicken instead of tofu) it was excellent. Lots of perfectly cooked veggies, plenty of chicken, and the sauce was very creamy with a hint of spice. Only complaint- they don't give you enough rice so ask for an extra portion. Second dish was chicken pad Thai which was equally as delicious. The sauce was well balanced between sweet and peanuty, with succulent chicken. Third- our parents ordered the pad kee mao- which was pretty good and had a lot of basil. We did not order any of the dishes spicy so they all had a mild spice level besides the pad Thai. The pad Thai and curry were the favorites of the group! Lastly, the ambience was nice with modern lighting and decor, BUT there was no background music whatsoever. So there was a slight constant pressure of feeling like the place was closing lol. Overall a great place to eat and I'm glad we found it! Photos attached are after we started eating.

Had the Tofu sate and tofu in red curry, and I loved both of them. Good amount of options for vegetarians/vegans. Tofu Sate- One of the best asian style tofu appetizers I've had. They were fried just the right amount to maintain the crispness outside without being extra oily and soft on the inside to maintain that texture along with that peanut sauce which goes so well with it. The red curry couldn't have been made better, right from the presentation of the dish to the amount of red curry spices and vegetables in it made it really delicious. The flavor is just what you expect and they can make it Thai level hot if you want it. The chefs are all Thai so you know you're really having legit stuff. Highly recommended this place.

This was my first "menu del día" experience in Spain! Theirs did not disappoint! We went in on a Monday for lunch. They were very busy so we were seated right away. What I ordered: I got the veggie rolls, the veggie pad Thai, and a coke all for 12€! This is a great price considering it is was so much food and it tasted great! It's definitely not the most authentic place ever, but it is still some good Thai food when you need to get your fix. I was surprised that th menu del día menu also came with a cappuccino after we finished our meal! Not the most authentic, but great quality and flavor!

Awesome, tasty, mouthwatering food. I order vegetarian tofu red curry and my husband ordered minced chicken with brown sauce. Large portion size. Service was fantastic!

    Papaya Salad

After so many meals since we arrived Madrid, we are now craving for Thai food. So we gave "Bambi box" a try. Papaya Salad, Pad Thai chicken, Duck Curry, Basil Ground Pork over rice with Fried Egg. It's not that bad but the flavor is almost there but not yet. This place kind of satisfying our craving for Thai about 60% . But so far it's better than the rest of food we tried since we arrived here.

This Thai place was fantastic! This place is in the Cheuca neighborhood. Found them on Yelp and decided to give them a try and there are no regrets. The service was great alone. Our server spoke some English so it made our experience good. The food is amazing. We would definitely come back. The Panang Curry was a little subtle kick to it. The chicken in it was not dry like most places. It was great. Would get the dish again in a heartbeat. The Pad Siyu was nothing short of greatness. The chicken was cooked just perfect. Like the curry chicken, the Pad Siyu chicken was not dry. Both dishes were pretty close to perfection. The cheesecake was delicious. The texture had a little bounce to it instead of the usual cheesecake texture I'm use to in the states but overall, it was great. I would get this again also.

Tom Yum soup with Shrimp and a lot of vegetables

Just what was needed after lots of tapas in Spain. What a great find this is. I live in the states and have had some really great Thai food in NYC, Los Angeles and even Paris. BambuBox is now up there with some of the best we have had. VERY fresh vegetables and lots of shrimp in the Tom Yum. Excellent flavor. The pad Thai and the veg green curry also excellent. As crazy as it may seem to be in Spain and eat Thai food, if that is what you feel like, I highly recommend eating here! It is a special restaurant. Also the design is very modern and clean and very nice service. Wish we took more photos! But here is the soup! A+! 5 stars!

Ideal for groups if you want to switch it up from tapas! Great Thai spot with a unique atmosphere, friendly service, good food, but a little bit overpriced. Haven't found great Southeast Asian food in Madrid and was hoping this place would be the one - the food was good but didn't blow me away. The portions were okay and could have packed more flavour. I had the chicken red curry which came out to about 14 euro. Other members of our group recommended the Pad Thai or the very spicy salad (I forget the name) if you want to try something new, but the curries were a little bland. That being said, the experience overall was great due to the vibe of the place and the great staff. They also didn't have a problem bringing out tap water which is always a plus :) would go again!

We had just arrived in Madrid, checked into our hotel and were hungry! So we decided to give this place a try. It was really good! My only regret was not asking for them to make it spicy. There really wasn't much spice to my dish at all, but it was still really good! Worth a try is you love Thai food!

"If it's possible to have a crush on food...I'm crushing pretty hard" -My husband. I would be worried about my marriage, lol, but I'm crushing pretty hard too. This place has outstanding Thai food. Just go there already, don't even think about it, trust me you won't be disappointed!

The lady working there kindly let us sit anyways saying we have an hour before the reservations will come in. That was enough time for us to satisfy our cravings. I ordered the pad Thai with prawns and my boyfriend ordered the Indonesian fried rice with the fried egg on top. Both were tasty and a tad too sweet for my liking. The pad Thai is pretty authentic and it came with additional items to give it more flavor such as raw bean sprouts and onions. I really enjoyed the noodles and the fried rice was delicious. Highly recommend coming here for an Asian fix and to also make a reservation. The menu items were quite interesting and would come back to try other items if I had more time. But I'm glad we got to stop by during our short stay in Madrid. Also the price is very reasonable about 9 euros per meal.

The restaurant is cozy and atmosphere better than what you find at stuffy Chinese restaurants around the area. With a quick glance at the menu, we realized the set menu for the night would be the way to go. For only a few Euro more than a normal main course, you get a first plate, dessert and drink. Was I overly full afterwards? Surely. But was it worth it? Definitely. Not only was the Pad Thai plentiful, it was spicy (upon request), which is always a plus in my book. While I was full after this first plate, next came the Vegetarian Curry which was also delicious. Service was nice and it wasn't too expensive at all. I'm glad they deliver so close to my home because my search for acceptable Thai food ends here!
