I needed the bottom of my wood shed repaired where it had water rot. I got an estimate from them well in advance of the job I wanted them to do. I was very flexible as to when I wanted it done. They did show up, although they didn't let me know they were there, and began the job THEY said would be finished by the end of the following day. They were using MY ladders, which they knew they needed to bring ONE at least. So he continued working, it was only his father here and if he planned on completing on time, both should have been here.
Moving along, he had to use my miter saw, ummm ok, to make the replacement door they said they would do. To this day, the door doesn't fit right, it sticks badly and very hard to open. They didn't take into account for the expansion of the wood in the weather.
He came to me, after taking off the trim above the door without replacing it and not caulking, said he was finished and wanted to get paid. I disagreed, told him the legitimate reasons why he wasn't, and he caught an attitude.
He talked to his son (the owner I suppose) about it and went to get caulk. He had to make the metal overhang they took off and bent all up. He said he would be back tomorrow, day 3.
After all was said and done, my Father ended up having to recaulk all the joints and I have had to, on several occasions, take more off the door he made to have it fit correctly.
I had them do a previous job, I was so please that time that I paid them several hundred dollars more, I wanted to, because they under bid the job and this is what I get this time.
My father has used them too and we will NO LONGER USE THEM.
