Believe the bad reviews above. I wish that our family had seen these. Baltimore's Best is more like Baltimore's worst. The owner not only lies on her employee's but lies to her customer's saying things occurred that never happened. She doesn't oversee jobs and appears to subcontract their work. We emailed this company to see if they could do a balloon arch for our daughter's graduation party. They said they sure could. On the morning of the event the item didn't meet all of the specifications of what we ordered and the balloons started popping as it was being delivered. The delivery people worked to repair it (with tape that they barrowed from us) and took a picture and then left. Within 10 minutes of their departure more of the balloons started popping and the structure started falling apart BEFORE our guest arrived. The Owner expects us to pay for this eyesore that startled our guest with the sounds of popping balloons. You hire "professionals" so that you don't have to worry about certain details. We spent time chasing balloons and calling this company when were were supposed to be enjoying our guest and celebrating our special day. To make matters worse. We know have to argue for our refund with a company that doesn't stand behind their work or service and willfully will try to keep funds for a defective product and service not rendered. read more

If you want in any way to have your vision realized, then by all means DO NOT use Baltimore's Best Events! They are Baltimore's WORST events. I contacted them to plan a surprise bridal shower for my sister. I spoke with Gia the owner and everything seemed fine. We went into storage to pick out centerpieces. She showed us some gold trumpet vases (which I'd already planned to use for my upcoming wedding). We told her no, we definitely did not want those because we are using those vases at my upcoming wedding. We showed her some acrylic stands that she had that we liked, but she outright refused to use those! She told us no, she would not use those. We finally mutually agreed on a cylinder centerpiece arrangement with floating candles and flowers. That should have been a warning to us, but we were running out of time to find a venue and so persevered. She also showed us some flowers which she was to use as decor. We decided upon the tiffany blue flowers that she had. She asked us if we wanted the wicker chair for the bride's seat and we said yes. She promised that it would be decorated very nicely. Next we went down to the tablecloth storage area. She picked out a teal tablecloth to show to us. However we told her that the tablecloths next to it were closer to the color we were looking for, as it was closer to the colors of my sister's wedding. She appeared to be taking notes the whole time. Apparently this was a farce. On Wednesday she called to confirm the details, my sister verified AGAIN with her the centerpieces and all of the decor we wanted. The bridal shower was to be a surprise and we were the ones bringing my sister. When we arrived on yesterday to the event, I was completely dismayed and quite frankly extremely upset. The wicker chair for the bride was no where in sight! The servers there, brought the wicker chair down halfway through the event and it was not decorated in the least. The tablecloths were the color Gia chose and not the ones we chose. The tiffany blue flowers were completely absent. AND, there in the middle of our tables sat not the cylinder vase centerpieces she promised, not the acrylic floral platforms we liked, not any of the dozens of options we never discussed. Instead sat the very vases, we'd told her that we did NOT want. The ones we told her would be at my upcoming wedding. Not only that but the centerpieces weren't even nice, many of the crystals were twisted and coming off and the flower ball set on top only made it look like a broken blinged-out ice cream cone. Can you imagine the anger I felt at that moment? But I tamped it down for my sister's sake and determined to enjoy her party anyway. I called Gia, this morning to inform her of all the things that had gone wrong. She refused to take responsibility for the fact that she COMPLETELY messed up. I told her how upset I was that she had not done as promised. At which point she says that she only remembered the colors we wanted and that she did do what was promised but was sorry that it wasn't up to "my standard". My STANDARD?!! The fact of the matter is that she blatantly disregarded our wishes or at the very least was hugely negligent in attending to what we were ordering. She became extremely unprofessional and attempted to blame us for her mistakes. She refused to even give a partial refund for the mistakes or missing items, aside from $12 which she claims would be for one cylinder centerpiece. First of all, there were to be five centerpieces. Second, even on her website it says the centerpieces were more than that. Over the years, I have hosted and helped plan numerous events. Just last year, I threw a 60th birthday party for my mom. This is the worst experience, I've ever had and I will not be returning here! If you at all, value your event and your money, run the other way from this place! You will not be satisfied and will not have your vision realized. Obviously the owner does not care about her customers. This is going to be longwinded, but the fiasco needed to be fully detailed. As we prepared for our wedding, we were excited to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony where we would share one of the biggest moments of our lives with our closest family and friends. Unfortunately, the incredibly late rental delivery by Baltimore's Best severely impacted the start of our big day. Our wedding was held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore Maryland. The vendor setup time was scheduled for Noon. Our ceremony start time was set for 2pm. Plenty of time for setup, right? We rented 125 chairs, two 6 ft. tables, and two white linens from the company. From the time we signed our contract, we confirmed the vendor setup start time of noon. Our Wedding Planner also communicated this information regularly via email and through the webpage she created specifically for vendors. She also spoke with the owner of Baltimore Best the day before our wedding to ensure that the location and start time were confirmed and that the setup style (amphitheater) could be accommodated. The owner fully confirmed all information on the call. With all vendors arriving at noon, they would have until 1:15/1:30pm to complete set up before guests arrived. Unfortunately, instead of arriving at noon, our Wedding Planner received a call at 12:17pm from the Baltimore Best delivery team assigned to our event. The team member shared that he was on site but was unable to make his way to the ceremony site. After our planner provided directions (that were already sent prior to the event), the delivery person finally confirmed that he was at the wrong address. After our Planner had multiple phone calls with the company about the mistake, they finally agreed to send additional help for setup once the truck arrived. As soon as our Planner was discussing the option of using metal chairs from the venue, the delivery team showed up around 1:15pm. By the time they began unloading the rental items, guests started arriving. We were incredibly embarrassed that they had nowhere to sit. I wish we could say everything went smoothly from that point on, but that's not the case. Once the delivery team began unloading, they were unloading in the wrong area after being told where to begin setting up. When they finally got to the right area, the team started setting up the seats in the incorrect style. The Planner had to show them how to set up the chairs amphitheater style even though they had a diagram. And finally, not only did their late arrival impact the guests, but it also impacted our vendors. The DJ and décor set up were delayed and rushed as a result of the tables and linens not being there on time. The worst part is that the vendor kept apologizing over and over and over instead of simply getting the job done. We decided to move forward with Baltimore's Best because of their competitive pricing. However, it looks like the age old adage that you get what you pay for is true. If you decide to rent items from their company for your event, please consider our experience. Know that no matter how much information you send to them in preparation, you'll likely need to have a backup plan in place to ensure your needs are met. I had my daughters sweet 16 party on April 8, 2023. Everything was perfect! Gia allowed me to come in the night before to decorate so that I could save time on the day of my party. When I arrived, the lights were set to the theme of my event and everything looked gorgeous. My daughter and her friends arrived shortly after. She was blown away by how gorgeous everything turned out. Dana, our bartender, was wonderful and so patient with the kids. She must have poured over 100 cups of soda that night xoxo The DJ kept everyone on their feet dancing all night long. I used Baltimores Best photo booth as an addition to my party. I forgot the photographers name, but she was so pleasant and such a sweetheart to work with. I hired Rick Wright (THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY) for the caricature drawings. The kids were thrilled, the night was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my daughters big day!! Thank you!!! read more

Staff was nice enough when we rented but beware of getting your security deposit back. I never got mine back ($150.00 via credit card) and apparently waited too long to call. Was told by the owner that there is nothing she can do about it, even though the staff member I spoke to a just a few weeks before was able to look it up and give me the exact date that it was supposedly refunded, plus offered to look into it on their end. My bank has no record of the refund and neither do I. I guess the owner is too busy to deal with it although I find it somewhat suspicious. Looks like I'm out $150.00. Do not use this company. The owner is absolutely terrible, she makes her employees do work not in their job description, including personal manual labor jobs that have nothing to do with the business. In addition, she pays under the table, and just writes checks with no financial breakdown. Money is always missing from paychecks, the hours never add up to the given pay rate. Lastly, she is willing to take advantage of low-income families. This is pathetic. If you're paying over $50 an hour for a party entertainer, it should be a hired costumed entertainer, not an individual who works for the company who has never once been a costumed entertainer. read more

My event was great...BUT the Customer Service was horrible! I'll break it down in 3 categories: EXPENSIVE: I held a women's empowerment event at Confetti's (Balt Best Events) a few weeks ago. When my event planner told me the price, it seemed very reasonable. Once I paid the deposit, the fees kept increasing. I was told that I could change my layout as I got closer to the event, but that was a lie. I couldn't make it to the venue by 6pm to pay my remaining balance the week prior. I received a call the next day about a $49 late fee. The venue also charged a 3.5% fee for all credit/debit card purchases. They also want $150 security deposit the day before the event. This was really inconvenient because I had to visit the venue way too many times before the event. RUDE MANAGEMENT: When the nice young lady with glasses helped me update my layout, I overheard the manager talking to her (the employee) in a rude/condescending tone about the changes I requested. It made me uneasy and I felt bad for the young lady. The next time I visited to pay my security deposit, there was another young lady who was very nice (at FIRST). She went to that same manager to ask a question in-person -- Instead of the manager answering her in-person, the she insisted that the young lady call her over the phone?? It was really extra and dismissive, but I decided to mind my business and knew this yelp review was going to be SWEET! I sympathized with both of the young ladies. UNPROFESSIONAL TEAM: The young lady (who I thought was nice at first - w/o the glasses) started talking badly about the manager. I'll admit I agreed with her because I remembered how badly she talked to the other young lady with glasses before. I also informed this lady that I planned to post a yelp review. She insisted that I should do so. Sadly, that young lady's comments about her boss were safe with me UNTIL she disappeared on the day of my event. She and my event planner had a disagreement about the start time to setup. We were told that we could come an hour earlier than the event, versus the 30min early that comes with it, for an additional $45 (more money!!!). That lady acted as if she did not just give her consent of doing so over the phone. So my event was not setup in time and people showed up while we were still setting up. I also needed more tables and chairs. Unfortunately, the lady disappeared for the rest of my event. We called the office phone and knocked on the office door - she intentionally ignored us! WHY I'M DISAPPOINTED: I'm usually very professional, kind, and genuine when conducting professional matters with businesses. I continued to be respectful and positive with each of them. What disheartened me the most was that I hosted a positive event to empower women and uplift my city. There's enough negativity and hate to go around, especially among women. We don't need more negativity and rude behavior. I also spent $400 more than what I was quoted when signing the contract. It would have been more if I agreed to other things I was told came with that price (setup, tablecloths, etc.). Lastly, the young lady that disappeared had the nerve to ask me about my event when I returned for my security deposit. She knew what she did and said nothing about it. The funnier part was that the manager (rude lady) asked for me to submit a yelp review. I gladly accepted and here it is! Only this time -- Her voice wasn't as loud, aggressive, and rude when speaking to her employee this time...I wonder why? ADVICE: Please be more professional to your clients and staff members. Our money is valuable. I had vendors at my event that also received negative impressions from the staff. Customer service skills are HUGE for being successful in today's society. i had a pretty good experience...i am truly sorry others did...i utilized all they had to offer except for catering...since we also cater... at the last minute...one of our personal servers was not able to make it: baltimore best events was able to secure me with two of their staff members as servers... my event was feb.of 2017...i gave my mother and stepfather a 20th year anniversary party there...and will be having another event there in 2 weeks... its such a good hall and location...i pray they adhere to all complaints...and you experience what i was able too.... read more

Terrible customer service. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone trying to rent through this company. I spoke with the manager back in January (wedding is late June), and rented chiavari chairs. We got our final wedding count, which was significantly lower than originally thought I called to inquire about a refund. I was very rudely informed that "when I spoke with you in back in January I told you we could always add more but not take away." Never rented chairs before but I'm pretty sure that's the most horrendous way to run a business, especially since so many other things go on while trying to plan a wedding. Now I do recognize i should have paid better attention... but then again shame on your poor business model for taking advantage. I would highly suggest NOT renting from here and going with a much more accommodating rental company. read more

I first became aware of BBE back in 2011 when I applied for a job after graduating from Towson and wanted to start in the event planning world. I believe the job was for a coordinator of some kind. Anyway, I had the opportunity to meet with the owner, Gina. Turns out there wasn't a job available - the only way I had a chance to gain some experience and start my career was if I rented the apartment attached to her house, otherwise a job wasn't available... it came hand in hand. Even though the reviews were all terrible, we were planning a simple "celebration of life" event (no music, equipment, catering, etc) and thought we would give this place a chance. When we arrived for a tour, some other customers were there asking for a refund (clue #2). We took the tour, the place looked good, so we said yes, we'd like to reserve it for an event in 4 weeks. The lady said she would send us a quote that day or the next day to finalize. It has now been 6 days and we still haven't received a quote. I called 3 days ago, asking for it and have yet to hear back. We need to finalize the details so we can get the invitations out. If I could give a 0 I would. They double booked my event and another event. I should have known when I first called. The rental fee listed on the website is not correct. The 2 wicker chairs for a baby shower-1 for Mom and 1 for Dad- I requested stated $45 on the website, but when I called and inquired, it's actually $65. I went with Baltimore's Best because they said they had TWO matching chairs. I even went in person to book and view the chairs. They showed me 1 of them but assured me there were two identical wicker chairs, one was being rented. (I asked myself-Rented on a Tuesday???) There were red flags everywhere that this place was not organized. The young lady doing the booking actually took down my info in a spiral notebook. Go with your gut feeling. Soooooooo the day before the event, they called and said one of the wicker chairs was damaged during the weekend and it was unrentable. OOOOOkkkay, so I spent all night finding a wicker chair rental for one chair similar to the one I saw the previous Tuesday. Found one! Soooooooooooooo I show up the day of the event and see someone walking out with two wicker chairs, one of them badly damaged in the back. Wow, so they have 4 of them I thought. Nope. THEY DOUBLE BOOKED! And they didn't tell the other renter about the damage in the back! Thank God I went with another rental to at least have one one chair for the Mom! I even spoke with the manager. Trust the reviews!!!!!! I saw this place on wedding wire and thought it looked nice. I came to yelp and saw TERRIBLE reviews but after speaking with the owner (Gia) and letting her know my concerns I figured I would go and look at the space. Before I went me and Gia talked for about 20 minutes. She wanted the chance to "explain" the bad reviews. She went on to say brides come in with unrealistic expectations and the issues they have are not her fault. Blah blah blah. I ate it all up and decided to check it out for myself. Well upon arriving the doors were locked even though I had an appointment. I had to call for someone to let me in. After 5 minutes of waiting a young lady appeared, opened the door no greeting or anything. She had the most blah attitude I have ever seen! She says "how can I help you?" I say I have an appointment. She says "sign this book" then she leaves . Doesn't say I will be back, hang on a second or anything just leaves. After a few minutes she reappears and says "follow me" we walk through a disgusting kitchen (which I feel bad if you have them cater for you) to get to the room. The room is dark and smells old. She says "here is the room". Tells me the price and just stands there. If everything else including the customer service wasn't bad this is the chance to redeem yourself but no. A simple blank stare that's it. At this point I had enough and asked to speak to the owner Gia, I introduced myself and told her we spoke on the phone about the bad reviews and I told her that coming here and seeing with my own eyes I see why the reviews are bad. She asked what happened, I told her and another blank stare. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I'm not sure how they have been in business for 32 years!!! We loved the pictures of the venue on their website but what we got was unacceptable. We booked the room in May 2012 for a retirement party. It was horrible! They provided us with stained chair cushions, soiled table-cloths and outdated accommodations. Even worse, they were understaffed and the food was deplorable. Baltimore's Best Event Center, Confetti's and Loft is owned by Gia Magliano. She will lure you in to come see the space, take your money and refuse to give you any services that you are requesting. Once she have your money, she will manipulate your event in what she think is what you want. She will not give you a refund, or honor you with another date. She has not used any COVID restrictions, she do not wash her linen or sanitize any of the tables and chairs or props that was used before or after an event. The carpet in the Loft has not been professionally cleaned in over five years, the floor in the Confetti's hall is not properly cleaned in-between events. When she cooks, she uses old and dirty utensils and she uses her bare hands and tastes it while she is preparing it. She will save old food from another event and give it to the next guest that will use food, and tell them its complimentary. She do not store the food properly and cross contamination, has occurred. She will give you false hopes, and is currently booking events throughout the year into next year but will not be in the same venue location. She has failed to tell customers that she has sold the building to someone else and will not be at the Glen Eagles location, and just keep taking money. The new owner may have a different vision and will not honor her prior business contract. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED. read more

My husband I planned our wedding with Confetti 8/11/2012 and will never refer anyone to them. The event coordinator Christina Cloud worked very well with us. However, there was many times miscommunication and specific issues were not address. When we decided to itemize everything we specifically wanted for our wedding versus the service Confetti would offer became a tedious process as I would expect. Even with constant communication via phone and email we still did not receive proper clarification on what we had access too. At the last minute we found out: our cater could not use Confetti's refrigerator, they forgot and added entertainment tax, hall rearrangement fee, and then had to change the layout of our room scheme cause guest could longer fit in the original format. I originally expected 90 guests. As the date approached I received approximately 130 confirmed guests. Confetti mentioned they could accommodate I believe up to 150 and our hall layout was reorganized. I had no other option but to use this new layout and the day of my wedding we were packed like sardines. We decided to not use their catering service and I do not know whether this made them offended. However, as the wedding approached and came they gave my cater a hard time and asked her if she was licensed. Of course she was!!! Why wasn't this asked prior??? Additionally, I found out through my parents Confetti did not work with them while they were setting up the hall for my arrival on my wedding day. How inappropriate on my wedding day!!! In many circumstances I found Confetti's staff was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I spoke with Gia several times and her attitude seem very carefree and blasé. Specifically when I asked her a question related to my wedding. Her response "who is your event coordinator? U need to speak with her! Wow, really? This is your establishment and you address customer this way? When we paid to use their photographer Natalie Doogs she did not seem comfortable as a photographer and never suggested specific poses. Thank goodness my sister who is a photographer was able to take the poses she forgot to shoot. We could of done a lot better at another location doing the details the way we wanted. We used Baltimore's Best for rented equipment for our wedding, and their terrible service would have caused a crisis on our wedding day if it hadn't been for our fantastic coordinator (not hired through them). We had ordered chairs, including set-up, for our outdoor ceremony, but when they delivered them, they refused to set them up and instead just dumped them and told our coordinator that we would have to pay an additional fee in order to have them cleaned-up at the end of the night. They knew where our venue was from the beginning of our correspondence with them months in advance, and if there were limitations to where they would set up, they should have told us that from the beginning. My fiance called Gia, the owner, in the hour before the wedding to make the arrangements to have them pick-up everything at the end of the night and agreed on a price, but then they charged our card $20 more than the agreed upon price. When he complained later via email, she basically said "too bad." Additionally, they forgot to deliver some of the tables and had to go back for them, complicating things for the people decorating for the reception, and the cocktail tables were so shabby looking and chipped that we ended up not putting them out. Again, when my now-husband complained about this and asked for a refund afterwards, they were not accommodating. Aside from this, correspondence with Gia during the planning stages was slow and frustrating. I quickly learned to only ask one question per email because if I asked multiple things, she only addressed one of them in her reply. It was also difficult to see what items they have available on their website, so some of the things they delivered on the day did not appear as we expected. read more

I went with BBE last year for my baby shower and they were great paid around $300 in total for everything. I wanted them to help me again with my sons 1st birthday party, I called and provide thee representative of everything I wanted and she told me she would email me my total and the documents. I never got any information back from her, no call no nothing. It was disappointing that they didn't really care to help me. I went with another company that gave me a quote right away and was really helpful and friendly. I know next time not to give them a call again for anything. read more

My friends family had an event there and due to my event set up experience I assisted them with their arrangements, and upon arrival it looked like majority of the linens we're not laundered by noticing that the creases were not pressed as they would be if laundered after every use also witnessed owners' poor management skills with employees. And also she seems not to care once sale is complete.Every event center has courtesy services this seems just to boil down to just the almighty dollar. The place is dirty as well. I would give ZERO stars if that was possible! I have to agree with R. Saiyed: Gia, the owner, has to be the rudest, most arrogant, condescending business owner I've ever dealt with! I will NEVER use Baltimore's Best/Confetti's again! The experience started out positive with the office staff being extremely helpful on the phone and when I came in to pay. I specifically asked if the 60" white resin tables needed a tablecloth (the tables were just extra seating for a very casual outdoor party & I wasn't planning on tablecloths or centerpieces, etc.). I was told "no"; the young lady I spoke with actually put me on hold to go into the warehouse to check the condition of the tables I was ordering. The guys delivered the tables while I was in the house preparing for the party. They left without my knowledge and without my inspecting the stuff or signing for it. Two of the 60" tables were unusable. We folded them up and put them in our garage. One of them was apparently an umbrella table with a hole in the middle where they had put white duck tape. Another had huge black scratches/gouges going across the table. My guests were arriving in an hour and there was no time to go get tablecloths (which I was told I wouldn't necessarily need). I phoned immediately thinking that maybe they could switch the tables out; but, I at lease wanted to go on record with the problem. I called Gia to get my money back for the 2 tables. She argued with me; interrupted me; called me a liar (saying her people would never say a tablecloth was not needed); had ZERO customer service. She insisted that the tables WERE usable and that I could have put a watermelon, cantaloupe or pitcher of beer over the damage to hide it!! The money is not huge: $17 for 2 tables. But it is the principle that I paid for something that I could not use. I guess the business must really be tight on cash when Gia would choose to keep her $17, lose a customer, and have that customer tell everyone she knows NOT to use this business. read more

Gia is still performing unethical un professional practices by trying to explain her bad reviews to potential clients instead if owning up and saying she messed up and will work on doing better, but she'll never do that because she simply does not care about customers she only cares about money! All reviews are not created equal!! I had a wonderful time. We had our 10 year vow renewal celebration at Conffetti's Event Center with Baltimore's Best Events. The atmosphere, decor,and food was great! My attendees loved the event from start to finish. Hopefully this review can help someone else. The staff and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Since then I have rented items from them and referred offered to them. Everybody has their opinion, my opinion is check them out!! read more

(I posted this review under Baltimore's Best Events LLC because it's the same owner.) Read all the low-scoring google reviews; they are absolutely on point. If I could leave a zero star, I would. Sloppy communication prior to the event. Food items stated on the website not provided during the event. Poor follow through with communication afterward. No conversation with the customer regarding adjustments to security deposit prior to the check being written. Owner does not appear to understand that word of mouth is probably one of the best marketing tools for a business in a town this size. I have shared my experience with anyone who will listen from coworkers to clients to friends. I see my experience with them isn't unique and my heart goes out to those with less resources or command of proper business practice. What could have been a simple resolution has escalated into something almost unbelievable. Next stop for me is the Better Business Bureau and attorney general's office. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! Wish I read the reviews before booking with Baltimore's Best. Really Baltimore's Worst! Ordered balloons for a graduation party which arrived 10 minutes after the party started and guests began to arrive. My husband and I scrambled to get the room set up which was suppose to have been done a half hour before the party began. I thought I was being fair to request a delivery refund of $45 because the service was not provided. I wasn't asking for a full refund. However talking to the owner Gia was a waste of time. She was extremely rude and a liar. Very bad customer services skills for a business owner. There is also lack of communication amongst the employees. I have given them a chance to rectify the situation but I have not heard a word. Which has led me to write this review. I see from the reviews that I am not alone. I am sure there are much better services in the Baltimore area, i suggest you avoid Baltimore's Best at all costs. read more
