The Linden Apartment complex was kind enough to let us use their space for a yoga class led by a newbie to Philly, Quincy. She guided us through the movements with calming music and a small reading from a book she brought with her. The building just opened in June and currently has 16 units occupied, with the ability to accommodate 132. The tours were lovely, exhibiting breathtaking views from some of the units. I loved how modern and bright the apartments were. It's neat how everything is "smart" now, down to the lock on the front door. After our tour, we enjoyed some Dottie's Donuts (vegan!) and they were delicious! I had the Vanilla glazed and Sour Blue Raz. It was my first time trying Dottie's. I'll for sure go visit their store in the future! Last but not least, we enjoyed cocktails from Illadelph Vodka which had a very interesting shaped bottle. I'd never heard the story behind the brand until last night but it made sense. The seltzer didn't have much flavor to me, so that's where the cocktails lacked in my opinion. I had a great time and am so happy I could wind down here after work. Thank you Megan, Yelp, The Linden and the additional partners that participated!

Having the donuts as a sweet treat at the end of our tour of the apartments was lovely as well. Nothing to do with the event, but definitely think the apartments are pricey for the area but it's cool to see yelp doing events like this.

There is also a collection of artists throughout the park made of various materials and are a bit more abstract. In addition to the outdoor space, check out the indoor spaces with more exhibitions and we were thrilled to be able to visit for the Yelp Elite Experience: Slow Motion @ Grounds for Sculpture.  Although a small exhibit, it is meant to be more of a thoughtful experience to "slow down" and think about what you want to see and relate to in regards to monuments.  There were some interactive exhibits, including a coloring book and touch station, which are great for kids.  We were thrilled to see the Noodle Mountain piece, which is created by a NJ-based artist, Colette Fu.  The Slow Motion exhibit takes place through September 1, 2025. In the same building is the Peacock Cafe, which had a nice selection of lunch and dinner options and served one of the best soft pretzels I ever had.  Good quality and taste for museum food!  There are 4 eateries on the property including Rat's Restaurant, a fine dining destination with farm-fresh French flair. You can tell the staff at GFS love what they do because they are all so friendly, especially at the front gate.  It is refreshing for your first impression of a place through employees to be happy, exciting, and educational.   I usually post about dog friendly places, so wanted to at least share the rules, as of August 2024: "All pets must be left at home. For the health of your pets do not leave them in vehicles.  Service animals are always welcome. Emotional support animals and therapy dogs are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)."

I really enjoyed myself. I won tickets thru Yelp and l really do appreciate winning the tickets but…read morethe manager claimed that The Yelp tickets was only for general admission only. She also claimed she's sorry that Yelp misled me. Really?? I have never been misled by Yelp and they are sponsors. It's clearly a misunderstanding. So l accepted the general admission tickets for myself and my guest. I have to say l was disappointed because l was expecting to be VIP. So that was a surprise but l enjoyed the concert nevertheless. The first performance was High Voltage and they didn't disappoint. The second band was the Michael Jackson tribute band and they really turned it out! The auction also had a great turnout. We Really had a great time listening to the music and dancing. Thank you Yelp for the winning of the tickets even though things turned out differently. I still love you Yelp!!

I agree as sponsors this could have been handled better but maybe it was just a communication problem. The event itself was awesome and supported a great cause.Bands were fun and we loved the rock and Roll covers. The food was high quality and very tasty especially the crab balls. Bartenders were helpful and friendly. All in all a great evening.

I have been going to this event the past 5 years or so. The tickets cost $40 this year which was raised from $35. It is worth the cost in my opinion. When you get to the event, there are a few places you could go to pick up your tasting ticket. The ticket is good for a taste from each of the participating restaurants. There are about 35 restaurants that participate each year. After you get your ticket, you can stroll around and grab food samples from the different participating restaurants. I was able to try a majority of the restaurants that were participating in the event and most of them offered a tasty treat. I will go back to this event as long as it continues as it is always a very chill day. I always leave stuffed and happy and enjoy spending the day with my family at this family friendly event. there are also other activities and things to do while at the event.

I even invited Yifang L., a Yelper from Bayside so she can meet others in the Yelp Community but although she tried to make it, the student's Regent exams finished late. When I arrived, Jando was already busy signing up guests for the Yelp newsletter, chatting them up and listening to their experience with the Yelp phone app and just attending to others who were spinning the wheel to get one of the Yelp freebies. Mike B. and I even had a chance to talk about Yelp to those who approached the table. It's just easy to talk about something you like and are already using. At one point, a grandmother approached the table and said she wanted one of those fingerless gloves. Of course, she got 'em! It was fun to meet Bayside residents, talk about Yelp and discover that the fingerless gloves are being rocked out on the street even by grannies! The party was already in full swing by the time I got there. Most of the participating restaurants have ran out of food (and alcoholic drinks) but I was able to get a taste of food from: ~~Papazzio - Medallions of veal sauteed in mushroom and marsala - Unbelievably tasty and even if the portion was tiny it was very flavorful and satisfying. ``Tequila Sunrise - Churrasco Steak - Seasoned perfectly and tender. They were also serving margarita but they ran out of it quickly. Just as I a found the Boylan drink stand, Monique and her friend increased the visibility of the Yelp table. More people approached the Yelp table and as the event concluded, the power of connecting with the community and of Yelp swag were further reinforced. Thanks, Jando!
